With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
With one hand on top of her eyes, Sally watched as her bludger soared with excitement - keeping one eye on the rest of the game, of course - as it flew straight towards her opponent, flower-girl. Hell yeah - oh, no. No, no, no. That wasn't a good sound that escaped from the girl's mouth. Flower-girl sounded like Liam that one time she'd walked in on him smooching his pillow! "Merlin's saggy knickers... shit," she muttered beneath her breath as she watched the girl drop like a sack of potatoes, plummeting towards the ground only to be caught by Gabriel. Thank Merlin. "Good catch, Gabe!"
But then she heard him say, 'I think she's dead' and immediately, Sally was swearing a blue streak... she'd killed a fourth year... it would be bad to kill anyone but Merlin, a fourth year! All the other kids would hate her! But then a scary bitc - er, witch, came on field to sort him out. Alright, Gabe was just a bit dense in the head, it seemed. Flower-girl was alright. She wasn't dead after all.
The game would go on now! With her beater's bat in hand, Sally shook off the feeling's that had hit her before. It was Quidditch, right? Flowers should have dodged. Sally was just doing her job... and a wicked one, at that. She'd taken out a fourth year by injuring them, not killing them. Go her!
Zooming towards the next bluger in sight, Sally whacked it straight towards the tiny Slytherin seeker, ELENA COLDWATER. Who knew, maybe she could take her out too!

Everything was happening so quickly in the game. It wasn't until Elena had flown higher to get a better view that she heard the gasps and yells below over one of her teammates getting ready to fall off her broomstick after what she could only assume amongst all the mayhem was one hell of a hit from one of the other players. It didn't take long to figure out from the looks who had hit it, but thank Merlin her teammate was still okay. Elena clapped for her teammate. Honestly, she took the hit and survived like a total badass(ot that she figured they would've let a student die by any means, but she was still a certifiable badass to Elena).
However, this left her even more cautious of her surroundings. Clearly, Sally was trigger happy And a great aim, but who could blame her? It was literally the whole purpose of her position. However, just because she planned to hit her, didn't mean Elena was just going to take the hit without any fuss. She narrowed her self to the broom with a firm grip as she attempted to spin out of the way. She held her breath a moment, just in case. One never knew when another bludger could've come out of the wood work that she actually wasn't expecting. Hell, she could've still managed to get hit for all all she knew despite her best efforts.
Cooper had been beyond hyped for the first Quidditch match of the year, because it meant that he got be a show off, and show people what he was made of. And he wanted to make Lyra proud. Even if she wouldn't hear about the match until after. The Slytherin wanted to his team to win, but everything in this game was happening so fast.
He had watched from his broom, how not long into the game, one of the chasers from his team had been struck with a bludger. It caused the Slytherin to look with worry, even if he had been the type, to not care if it didn't affect him. But they couldn't lose their Chaser, and when he saw one of the chasers from Hufflepuff carry her, the Slytherin was impressed.
"That's certainly a good guy." he said with a chuckle, even if he would have not done that. And he had watched everything, hoping that she was going to be okay, but he also wanted the match to resume. But he soon saw the beater for Hufflepuff, go after another bludger. And he decided to turn his attention back, as he tried to watch for his opportunity to take the Quaffle.
Some primal part of Flora made her hold onto that broom as tightly as possible. It was like a force other than herself kept her in the air, despite the fact Flora was screaming from the searing pain in her shoulder which was all she could think about. All of a sudden, though, the pain intensified tenfold when suddenly a strong arm plucked Flora from the skies. The rescuing jolt sent pain shooting through her entire body and the fourth year passed clear out.
On the ground, Flora came in and out of consciousness a few times. One of those times was to hear someone call that a girl was dead - Flora's fuddled mind registered that she should feel very sad for that person - and the other was when her cousin, Vinda, talked about how only stupid people with death wishes played the game. "Someone died" she managed to warn Vinda as she slipped back out of consciousness once more. Flora was floated out of the stadium and off to the healing ward. It would be her first and only game.
The bludger Sally had aimed at her brother's girllllfrienddd or whatever she was missed, but whatever. No big deal! It didn't seem like she was close to grabbing the snitch anyway, and so Sally continued along merrily, eyes seeking out another bludger until... aha!
So far she'd aimed at Flora, her brother's girlfriend, and now it was time to set her target on someone else. She wanted her team to be able to score as many goals as possible... so naturally, her next bludger was smacked straight towards RAOUF NASHAAT who was guarding the Slytherin goal posts.

Raouf gave Coldwater a tight smile as she patted his shoulder, giving a dip of his head before turning his attention to the game ahead. He didn't feel particularly nervous, this was a game he was good at. This was something he enjoyed doing, despite the hundreds of eyes that he knew were boring into the back of his skull. The game began quickly, and he moved into position seamlessly. It didn't look like luck was on their side as a fellow teammate was smashed with a bludger. The older boy's eyes darted over to the Hufflepuff that sent the bludger flying, giving a look that could kill before glancing back down to the ground where Avery had helped her to the ground. Raouf gave a concerned squint of his eyes as the boy called out about her possibly being dead. That was crazy! It was just a bludger!
He sighed softly as Sally continued her rampage, making sure to keep an eye on it. His attention was torn between the quaffle and the bludger that seemed to be perfectly swinging in Jordan's favour. That seemed to be a family of good sportsmen. He caught the sight of the bludger out of the corner of the eye, steering clear of it. He winced as it ricocheted off one of the hoops, whistling past his ear. Okay. So he hadn't seen that coming and he was certain Slytherin would lose if it did hit him. A chaser down and the keeper down? Words: 251 Tags: SALLY JORDANOLLIE
Cooper couldn't help but find himself annoyed by the Hufflepuff beater who seemed to enjoy hitting bludgers or something, because he had to admit. The boy never saw someone so freaking happy. It made him roll his eyes, as he didn't want half his house out of the match due to a beater that was too happy.
But his eyes focused on the quaffle that he saw had been free, and he had to take this opportunity to get a goal. It was for his team, and he flew over the quaffle. And caught it, which caused him to let out a smirk. As he flew towards the Hufflepuff goal, and he let out a smirk as he threw it towards the goal.
Hoping that he could make it, but if not then that would add to more disappointment for his house team.
Aw shucks, the bludger that she'd locked and loaded towards the Slytherin keeper missed, making contact with the goals instead. "Dang it," Sally muttered, eyes scoping out the rest of the players. She was a beater, she needed to be on the ball (ha!) all the time if they wanted to win.
So when she saw the Slytherin chaser - no, not the one she'd almost killed according to Gabe - she hit yet another bludger straight at him with a crack of her bat! Hopefully it'd at least jostle his broom a little and make him drop the quaffle, giving Gabe a golden opportunity to snatch it right up. If she was lucky, that was!
Cooper did not feel like getting himself injured today, and did not want to be bested by a little girl. All he wanted was for his team to win, but when he saw the the Hufflepuff beater hit the bludger toward his way. The Slytherin eyed her, and he dodged it. "Not today, princess" he sneered as he dodged the bludger. Even if there was chance he probably ruined his chance at getting a goal, but he wasn't getting injured.
This girl certainly needed to take a chill pill, and he hoped one the beaters on his team would help. If the quaffle missed, there would be more opportunities for him to try and get a goal.
Dio grinded his teeth when one of his team members got hit by a bludger. He was off to a slow start but when his teammate got hit with a bludger, Dio was sharp. “Now let’s crack some skulls,” he smirked manically as he waved his bat around.
He turned towards his team. “You okay, Coldwater? Don’t lose sight of your goal no matter what happens.” She seemed to have avoided the bludger.
When another bludger headed towards one of his teammates, he flew towards it to smack it away. Damn that little puff was in shape today. But he wasn’t going to let it hit their keeper. “Yo forgein guy, watch it.”
Now who shall he send it too? His blue eyes scanned the field until he found the best possible target. “Avery.” The little spoiled bastard. Dio hated everything about that guy and they hadn’t even shared a conversation once. Well let this be a nice introduction.
Rebecca sat in the stands quietly watching the Hufflepuff Slytherin game. The sport didn't interest her in the least but she still decided to watch the game either way. If nothing else she could support the members of her house she could actually stand.
Coldwater seemed friendly even though she hadn't really spoken much with her and she was the seeker, as she understood it. Even though Becca was muggleborn she somewhat understood what the game was about. After all she was already in her sixth year at Hogwarts so she's had more than enough time to check out a few games through her previous years at school.
When the Slytherin chaser managed to dodge the bludger Sally had sent flying at him before, Sally was about to shrug it off until she got the tail-end of him calling her princess... princess?! Who the heck did this doucheface think he was? She was out there playing with the rest of them, wasn't she? Not fluffing about in some poofy dress and eating cake with a spoon. "Maybe later, princess," she shot back at him, before her eyes caught the bludger zooming towards Gabriel. Zipping forward, she whacked it away from Gabe with a grin. "Guess you're not the only hero of the game, hey Gabe?"
Quidditch was an age-old game that Jack loved despite not being overly talented at riding a broomstick. But he was a competitive soul, and so watching others battle it out provided him with some entertainment, something he was in dire need of before he returned back to his office and had to fill out paperwork for the rest of the evening.
With his trusty coffee clutched in his hands, Jack waited for the game to begin when suddenly, a familiar voice sounded beside him. Glancing up, Jack broke into a friendly smile as he saw who it was. How did somebody manage to look so devastatingly attractive attending a Quidditch game? Merlin only knew. "It's bound to be eventful... there's definitely some more interesting players out on the field," Jack said, watching with amusement as Zoe produced a scarf. "Why not Hufflepuff, hm? Have you something against the colour yellow, Ms. Savage?"
His brows raised as she alluded to other uses for the scarf and if they weren't colleagues, then he would definitely be sliding his hand onto her thigh right about now and whispering an explicit suggestion on just what they could use it for. But... they were, and he was her boss. It just wasn't appropriate unfortunately, and to try and distract himself from dwelling on that, he turned his eyes back onto the field where they were starting the game.
Only a few minutes into the game, there was an accident. Sally Jordan hit a bludger at Flora Selwyn, and Jack's breath caught in his throat at the sound of Flora screaming. It was never something he wanted to hear from any of his students, and Jack fingers lifted in the air, ready to throw a spell to slow-motion her broom just in case when thankfully, Gabriel Avery caught her. "Professor Avery certainly raised a good nephew," he told Zoe, wondering if perhaps Graham was in the crowd. Maybe he'd go and shake his hand later.
