With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Positive Traits: His greatest strength is his mind. Dio is sly and cunning, managing to gain people's trust when they first meet. However that trust is quickly broken when Dio starts using it. Despite his lack of muse for school work, he has some ambition for the future. Only he doubts that he'd find it with what Hogwarts teaches. He can remember names, faces and places very well. He also knows when it's wise to shut up and play along. Dio doesn't really have the nature to be brave and stand up for what's right. But he isn’t the type to run away from a fight when he feels like it. In his own way he has a feeling of righteousness even if it isn’t the kind of ‘good’ society would consider. But knows where to stop before getting in too much trouble, He rather play things smart and see where he benefits the most. Despite having trouble with making friends, Dio is extremely loyal to his family. People might think he is sadistic but he isn’t a complete sociopath. He does care and love but keeps the group of people limited.
Negative Traits: s:Despite that his temper is better than his mother's, he has had many violent fits now and then. He has a sharp mind, and is super witty. This he often corrects people's mistakes and calls them out for being dumb. He isn't very good at keeping friends. Dio has a talent for getting himself in trouble. His hobby includes pranks which often go too far and having people around him physically hurt. His light sadistic nature has caused some people to worry for his future. ‘What do you expect with a father like that’ is often what he hears. But Fenrir Greyback had little till none influence on Dio’s upbringing. The man died when Dio was only 8 years old. His mother might even be more sinister.
He isn't much loved among teachers. While he has a great intelligence, it isn't seen back in his grades. Dio often feels unmotivated to show up this causing big differences between his marks. Unlike his uncle, he isn't that creative with objects. While his mom’s sibling can create beautiful wands, Dio more looks at the practical side. Despite that he has some eye for detail and sees when a wand isn't well finished.
Quirks and Habits: He bites his nails when he is bored. Now and then he is seen smoking but isn't too dependent off it. Sometimes it is nice to make the mind clear or have something to do. He does like to chew strawberry gum all the time even in class. Several times he has gotten into trouble for this.
Likes: dissecting dead animals and creatures out of curiosity, studying forbidden items and dark magic, observing people, ‘testing’ people
Dislikes: when his brother refuses him again, the ‘training’ his mother puts him through, school work,
Boggart: his mother, despite loving her he also fears her even if he won’t admit it.
Mirror of Erised: his brother accepting him and making him second in command
Patronus: fox HISTORY
Ever since he was a little boy his crazy mother had been ‘training’ him to be his father’s successor. To work side by side with his older half brother and create a new eden for werewolves and creatures. Dio grew up in a highly toxic environment which left both mental and physical scars on the boy.
The summer after his first year his mother and he would move in with her sibling. Since his mother was quite emotionally unstable, she couldn’t hold on a job for long.
When he was little he often played outside. Even when they lived in the dark streets of Knockturn Alley, Dio had never felt at danger. He always stayed close to the apartment above his ‘uncle’’s shop and his mother could often jump in may someone try anything. Besides that he was easily recognizable he was a walking miniature version of his mother. And most people knew not to mess with the crazy witch.
He often tried to play with kids from the same streets, but often he got his playmates hurt in the progress. Or in dangerous positions. Many parents didn’t want their kids to play with him anymore. Dio didn’t understand why, because he never had been rude to the adults. Outside he often looked for mischief. Thus causing him to find some things which children shouldn’t see at a young age. He was very young when he was first confronted with death. He found a death decaying puppy in one of the narrow streets. While at first he was scared, his ‘uncle’ told him it was just how life went. From that day forward he wasn’t that scared of anything dead or gore.
he never fancied actually killing the animals and bugs. However he did not mind taking them apart so the parts could be used in wands. Dio was only nine when he first saw his uncle kill another human. It would not be the last one. ‘Never make promises of deals you cannot live up to’ had he learned that day. He understood that it was the man’s own fault. Stupidity killed.
Dio does not believe in blood purity and once wanted to prove it by cutting a pureblood boy, himself and a muggleborn and then comparing the blood. However both other kids looked like they’d seen a ghost. The pureblood called him a freak, whimpered and tried to get away.
- When he turned eleven, his uncle made him his first and only wand. It was very special to him since he knew how hard the man had worked on it. If anything were to happen with it he’d snap. As soon as he started his classes at Hogwarts, he began to notice how different people were. Often he found himself in a fierce discussion about certain things.
Dio shrugged and didn’t understand why they were acting some strange. He’d seen blood before. He’d opened his knees many times on the streets. Some people were good at overreacting. Despite him being witty and cunning, his school grades were never good. To him the system wasn’t proving your intelligence but simply your ability to learn. Which Dio had no motivation for?
At school people started to avoid him as his pranks got more dangerous with the years. Some people would sigh and say ‘if only his personality were as handsome as his looks’. They were no longer innocent and childish but were more violent and dark. His most recent action has lead a first year girl into the forbidden forest and left her there alone. This lead to an in school suspension of 2 weeks (not allowing him in any class and giving detention every evening)
He’d also surprised two younger boys from his house, by ice water traps which were set above their beds in his fourth year which originally pulled attention from the teachers towards him.
Dio is very close to being expelled but he seems to find this somewhat amusing. He loves the idea that he left those adults almost desperate. They were not able to prevent these things from happening. His uncle however is not so amused and would often try to keep him in check. Lately he has been trying to keep the amount of pranks low, he doesn't want to upset his uncle. So lately he has been trying to find other ways to get rid of the boredom. Which are hard to come by.

Roleplay example:
Defense was one of the most important classes to the dark haired Gryffindor. Faith had always wanted to be an auror like her mother. Especially now her personal hero has lost her job and everything. She wanted to be the one to catch the bastards that did this to her. Even if this class and all the others were very important to her, she had a hard time keeping her head where it should be. A lot had happened just before she had to return to Hogwarts. Would her mother be alright? Faith didn't feel good, knowing her mum would go through her first transformation all alone. The Ministry might supply her with one year of wolfsbane and salary as some kind of 'whoops sorry for the work accident. You lost your job. But hey, we'll help you through your first year. Good luck finding work after.' Bullshit.
She didn't have time to sit through their teachers 'don't speak before your turn'-speech. Just get on with it, man. She was seated next to her dear friend Grace. On the other side of Grace was a cute Ravenclaw girl she didn't know very well. The Gryffindor leaned over to flash her a flirty smile. She smiled softly when Grace spoke and squeezed her shoulder in support once she sat down. "You did well," she whispered.
When it was her turn she didn't stand up because she didn't see the need. "I'm Faith, sixth year and I want to be an auror. The red colours of my robe obviously say I'm a Slytherin," she said, not understanding why they needed to call out their house when everyone was wearing a school uniform.
Welcome to Sonorus, we hope you enjoy your stay! Your application is currently pending. The reason is due to the dangerous pranks that are in his history. - Leaving a first year student in the Forbidden Forest would have lead to an in-school suspension of up to two weeks. If you would like to keep this prank as part of his history, please add this consequence into the history also. - Burning two students with boiling hot water would definitely have lead to expulsion. Please either re-write to a less extreme prank in his history to remain at Hogwarts, otherwise he may need to be educated at either Durmstrang or Beauxbatons (though I imagine with this on his bahavioural record, Beauxbatons would not accept him as a student).
Please feel free to PM or DM me if you would like to discuss an alternative prank; as I was part of the administration team of a real life school, I can assist with an alternative that would not lead to expulsion but again possibly suspension. Feel free to talk with us on our discord server if you have any questions.
