With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?

HISTORY
2010 - Raouf is at home over the holidays, when one of his father's colleagues come over. He sits in the study as his father is told that he shouldn't be married to a white woman, especially one that isn't of the same religious background as him. Raouf's father slams the door in his coworker's face and is fired a week later. He has to travel to a different part of Egypt to be able to get a job again.
2011 - Raouf's father participates in the Egyptian Revolution of 2011. He is proud of his father for participating in something that he believes will change the world around them. He is shattered when his mother turned up to his school on January 30th to tell him that his father has been killed. Raouf goes home with his mother for a few weeks, missing out on school in order to prepare for his father's funeral.
2016: Raouf's friend Junaid disappears, he fears this is due to the unsafe conditions of Syria. He goes into the year with a heavy heart.
2016: Raouf masters his animagus form and joins the school team. He attends the International Symposium of Animagi with his team, which caused quite a stir, enough that it was reported to the International Confederation of Wizards. Raouf was quite pleased about it, the bitter part being that his father and friend were unable to see it.
2017: It has become too dangerous to voice political opposition, Raouf's mother plans to leave the country, hoping to keep him in the same school. He eventually convinces his mother that he'd rather be closer to her than keep the same friends. He is enrolled in Hogwarts for the 2018-2019 term, hoping it will be a new start for both of them.

Raouf knew his mother was busy with work at Gringotts, so to hear that she had arranged for him to shop with his penpal Cassidy was a relief. She hadn't wanted him to travel the streets of Diagon Alley alone but to keep him couped up inside all day was also something she seemed to want to avoid. He didn't mind staying at home, but he was sure he would go stir crazy if he was unable to explore the new country around them. Everyone so far had been fairly friendly to him, but he'd found that the more northern a person was, the harder they were to understand. He was almost dreading being in Scotland to study, finding it difficult to understand them. He supposed he'd just have to study up all the more. Raouf gave a small wave to his mother as she watched him leave the bank, seeking the shop and bench that they had written and agreed on.
He squinted his eyes up as he read the signs, trying to stand out of the way. His walk was slow as he slowly read all the signs, with the cursive making his head spin. He still had a few months to recognise the scrawl, and having read Cassidy's handwriting it made him a little more familiar with such fonts. It took a few long moments before he recognised the store and he approached the blonde girl sitting out front. There was a little nervousness that hitched on his shoulders, not having a lot of experience with spending time alone with a woman other than his mother, as well as that girl being a stranger. Britain already seemed very different from Egypt, perhaps this trip would show him how different.
He gave Cassidy a small smile, shuffling forward to stand next to the bench. "Good morning." He greeted her, glancing around awkwardly. "I am Raouf, are you Cassidy?"
