With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Flouncing into the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, Vi's eyes skimmed over everyone already seated. Eenie, meenie, miney , mo! she chanted to herself before deciding that yes, the seat next to Leander Laurent today was the one for her. Marvelous. She just hoped he'd be up for a wee chat every now and then when there was a quiet moment - if not, maybe she could sneak over to sit with her dearest darling Flora Glora...ious to bug her instead.
Plopping her bottom into the seat beside Leander, she propped her chin up on the desk and grinned up at the boy. "Looking particularly stunning today. That shade of Ravenclaw blue? Does wonders for your eyes," she chattered. Most people would mistake that for Vi flirting, but... that's how she spoke to just about everyone. Including Marky Mark who sat a few seats nearby, looking particularly cute today. Of course, if Leander flirted in response to her words, she'd amp up the compliments times ten.
As soon as Professor O'Connor started talking about the Unforgivables, Vi grew silent and visibly shuddered because Merlin's saggy knickers, what an awful subject. She didn't like to think about those curses too often because it made her heart grow sad as she thought on just how many people would have had to go through them during the Wizarding Wars.
TAG: @leander NOTES: Hope it's okay I sat Vi with him!

As Vi walked back to the Ravenclaw tower, there was most definitely a skip in her step because Merlin's beard, she had nothing to be sad about. Life was going swimmingly, she'd started putting plans into motions for a great big party that she had planned, and she was making great progress on the big painting she had stashed away in her dorm room. All was well!
That was, until she drew closer to the common room entry and she spied lil' ol' Nicolas Delgado, doing his very best impersonation of a distraught tomato.... or, well, what imagined a distraught tomato would look like. "Nico!" she called out, forehead crinkled in concern. "What's wron -" but then he was burying his head into her shoulder, complaining that the eagle knocker on the door was mean and he couldn't get in.
"Oh, I'm absolute pants at those silly little puzzles - no offence! - but I can never get it right. Usually I have to wait for the next person," Vi admitted, although she didn't look terribly embarrassed by the fact. She was quite open about not being the cleverest tool in the common room... not that she had to tell anyone. She was quite certain that upon her appearance, people made the assumption that she was a dumb blonde. "Why can't you answer it? What's on your mind, Nico?"
The kiss between Nico and Alexander was hot, no doubt about it, and Vi let out a giggle as Nico came back to snuggle against her in the sanctity of her arms. "You did super duper good, Nico. Don't faint. I'm not having the matron crash spin the bottle," she teased, giving his hair a ruffle. Gosh, those curls were absolutely marvelous. Sometimes she wished that she had hair full of volume instead of being dead straight but oh well. Nothing she could do to change that!
At Felix's response at Vi's own kiss, she wiggled her brows at him teasingly before returning the grin. "Hmm, that is the question! Hope I get a good one," she said, eyes skimming Felix, then Archie because a smooch with either one of them? That she was definitely up for. "How 'bout you, Fe? What other girls or boys do you want to smooch?"
When Celeste came over like the veritable goddess she was, saying that she wasn't that bad, Vi leaned down to whisper in Nico's ear proudly, "Totally taught her how to kiss. You'll be grand. Go on." Then watched as Nico and Celeste met one another's lips, not an ounce of jealously pulsing through her. It was just a game, after all, and she wasn't super duper into the notion of kissing someone meant you belonged to them anyway.
Liam arrived mere moment's later, greeting both her and Elena with that great big handsome mug of his that Vi definitely wanted to smooch at some point, and she gave him an impish grin. "Your muscles look fabby dabby, Liam! Should wear shirts like that more often. In fact, if I ever give you a shirt, I'm gonna make sure that it has no sleeves and if it does, I'll just snippy snip them off!"
As Elena came and sat beside her, Vi reached across to place a hand on her bestie's knee, giving it a little wiggle as her spin of the bottle landed straight at her. "The universe always has the best ideas, doesn't it? It's, like, the smartest thing in the whole world," she enthused, before heeding Elena's instructions of don't hold back.
Crawling in front of her, Vi made herself very welcome to Elena's lap. It wasn't that unusual, given her propensity to sit in just about everyone's lap, but she wasn't usually turned so she was mere inches from their face. Her fingers reached up, tucking a stand of Elena's absolutely stunning blonde locks, before she leaned in, her lips meeting Elena's soft ones in a kiss that was innocent... until it was not, and Vi deepened it, her lips parting as she kissed Elena open-mouthed with just a hint of tongue every once in a while.
Drawing back, breathless, Vi planted a big smooch in the middle of Elena's forehead before wiggling back off her lap. "I like your chapstick! Strawberry, is it? You'll have to lend me it later. It's delicious," she said brightly, grinning because a kiss between friends? It was fun and the thought of it ruining her friendship with Elena didn't even cross her mind.
Wiggling back to sit between Nico and Felix, Vi crossed her legs as she watched the game go on, eyes lighting up as Roxanne's spin landed on her. Turning to Felix and Archie, voice full of excitement, she said, "Gosh, we've practically kissed now, haven't we? Not each other, but through Roxanne. How utterly brilliant."

As Vi spun the bottle, she watched with wide and excited eyes as it spun around and around and around until finally, taking it's gosh darn diddily time, it landed on... Rowena! A girl in the year above her, a cutie patootie Gryffindor who looked very much the definition of gorgeous tonight in a pair of skin tight leather pants and a beautiful shining jacket that displayed just a flash of her stomach.
Crawling over to the where the girl sat, Vi shot her the brightest grin known to man. "You ready, Vale? 'Cause I'm comin' for you," she sing-songed, before doing just that and sweeping downwards, pressing her lips against Rowena's in a short, albeit cheeky snog. Then she drew back with a wink. "Hope the next snog blows ya socks off, Rowena!"
With that, Vi wiggled back into her spot in the circle and leaned over to Felix (and in extension, Archie), whispering with an impish grin, "Hey Fe. I smooched another girly wirly. Another person ticked off my list, hey?"

When Felix handed her the bottle of non-alcoholic wine and moved in to kiss her cheek, a great big grin spread across the blonde's face. "Ready to rumble, Fe? I know you're not into boys but by golly, I will be disappointed if you don't at least smooch them on the mouth." The same went for everyone really because cheek kisses in a game of spin the bottle? Super duper boring.
Suddenly, as Felix had just drawn back, Dio Greyback was saying something about Felix trying to just get in her pants and Vi let out a laugh, shaking her head because that was just the silliest thing she'd heard all day. She gave her friends plenty of presents, none of which meant she wanted to get in their pants. "I don't think the both of us would fit in my pants," she quipped.
When Archie made his arrival, declaring that it was a great idea, Vi's face nearly split with just how big her grin became because she loved to hear that. She let out a laugh at the mention of Felix not knowing how to dress comfortably, stage whispering back to Archie, "Do you think he even owns a pair of jeans? Or are they all suit pants?"
Vi sent a quick grin to Nico as he sat beside her, reaching out to rub comfortingly at his knee before addressing Clary. "The girls will be here soon, I hope! I mean, I'm not opposed to kissing all boys but I know some of the others aren't here just for that sweet ol' boy on boy lovin' actions, y'know?"
With bright, excited eyes, Vi watched as quite a few of her classmates continued to file into the room. Alex with the groovy acid wash jeans, Skylar who - legend had it - sucked a sausage at her last party, the new American girl with pretty long hair, Cassidy the quiet girl from the year above her, Rowena the sexy smexy Gryffindor, Celeste the roommate she was definitely up for kissing again, Richard who she'd seen talking to Flora loads of times, and a few other people. As each new person joined the game, Vi made sure to give them a friendly wave as well as a greeting of, "hiya!"

"I will because colour doesn't have an assigned gender and I'm very sure that you'd look absolutely ravishing in the right shade. Maybe salmon," Vi said, the tip of her tongue poking out between her teeth once more. She didn't look away as Felix caught her checking him out. Why? Because she had absolutely zero shame, that's why, and maybe... just maybe... he'd return the favour and she'd reward him with a little spin. "A leather jacket, hey? You're the baddest of boys, Felix! No wonder all the girly wirlies wanna faint when you walk past."
"Mm, yep. You can say that, but my lips are sealed. You'll find out when it's done. Unless you wanna try unsealing my lips," Vi suggested with a bright grin accompanied with a wink. She was only half-joking, because kissing Felix? Would definitely be one of the better things to do in Hogwarts. Actually, it was a downright smashing idea if you asked her. "Ooohhh, working out, hey? Is that your way of telling me you're getting super duper fit? Maybe you'll be able to beat me in a race!"
"Done deal," Vi said, striking out her hand to shake on it. She couldn't wait to pain him at a later date... and take all the time she needed as well!
Leaning back against a table, Vi decided to leave Felix in suspense for a very long three seconds before she cracked, giggling. "Oh, you know... not Flora 'cause she's, like, straight as an arrow, buuuuttt I wouldn't mind smooching Celeste again and Clary and - oh! - and Elena would be pretty groovy woovy, don't you think? Which girls do you wanna smooch?"

Sitting on a great, big, plushy cushion in the Room of Requirement, Vi's entire body was thrumming with excitement because this game of Spin the Bottle was something she had been planning for weeks. Maybe, just an itty bitty bit, it was to serve her own agenda of smooching as many people as possible before the year was up but it was also totally a fabby dabby way of cheering up the sad souls of Hogwarts that had been roaming the halls ever since the Winter Ball attack. She just hoped it went down a treat with her classmates!
It had taken Vi a while to decide where to host the party itself because whilst it wasn't past curfew for quite a few more hours yet, they couldn't really do it in an empty classroom or the library. No doubt, that new fancy pants Ministry Liaison would have something to say about that. So the Come and Go Room it was, the place where Elena and her had thrown the last party.
The room was decked out with tables full of refreshments and little snack food she’d smuggled back into the castle after Christmas, music was softly playing overhead, and there was large circle of cushions for the players to sit on when they arrived… perhaps most importantly, a glass bottle sat in the middle, ready to be spun.
Now all they had to do was wait for everyone to start filing in!
NOTES: Vi told everyone the instructions on how to access the room via a note or in person . How to Play: Post your character down below so we know they’re here and ready to rumble. Note whether they’ve spun the bottle, e.g. after you write your post you can add ‘[Alex spun the bottle]' After a couple of people post, I’ll use a random generator and post who’s smooching who for the first round! You have until 12.00pm Sunday GMT+10 to get your characters in for the first round, then the list will be posted. Remember, they can still join for later rounds too! "We shared classes when I was in second and you were in first year, then this year since you're in third and I'm in fourth," Vi explained brightly, gesticulating as she spoke because he look so surprised that she actually knew his name. Hopefully now it all made sense though."
"Viola. But people call me Vi pretty much 24/7 'cause Viola's a bit of a mouthful, I suppose? Vi's quick and easy," she explained easily, shrugging. It didn't bother her in the slightest that he hadn't gotten her name right on the first go because it was just so rare that anyone called her by her full name.
Vi shot Jedrek a smile as he shared what classes he was taking, before tackling his question of what 'brought her here.' "Just a wee bit bored, y'know? Tryna find something exciting to do." She wiggled her eyebrows, her grin widening. "Know anything fun I could do?"

"Are you saying that blushing or the colour pink can't be masculine? Here I was, thinking that colours didn't have assigned genders," Vi said, the tip of her tongue sticking out between her teeth cheekily. She knew that they didn't and Felix likely didn't think that either, but it was fun to put him on the spot and hopefully make him squirm.
"Well, they look good," Vi told him, eyes shamelessly roaming up and down his body once more because he really did look super duper good. If she knew that he didn't have some thingy majig going on with Rosalia, then Vi would definitely try and at least get a smooch out of him - well, another kiss if the one at the party counted. That had been a pretty brief peck though. When Felix asked who she was using for a reference in her painting, she grew vague, waving her arms once more. "Just... one of the many leading ladies of Hogwarts! Gosh, girls are just... so pretty, don't you think? Such a shame I've only smoochie woochied one. Wish I could just... plant one on every girl that was willing! Every boy, too, matter of fact."
Vi blinked in surprise as Felix declared that Rosalia didn't exist because... well, wasn't that dark? She couldn't quite remember ever telling him to beware Rosalia but then again, her memory could be a bit shoddy and spotty at times. Maybe she had? "Well, plenty more fish in the sea! I mean, maybe... not as many since you don't like boys, but plenty of girls out there who I'm sure would love to get a slice of Felix pie," Vi said brightly, shrugging as she moved the subject along. She didn't like to dwell in negativity very much.
"Sure can! It'll take a while though. People always think paintings are a snap of the fingers and then done, but they take forever with all of the layers and colour mixing and stuff," Vi chattered, before she glanced at the canvas sitting in front of her. "Maybe I'll paint ya later? Only brought one canvas and I think I'll smash a window if I accio a new one down here from the dorms!"

"That's why everyone in Hogwarts looks so fab - constant exposure to the clouds," Vi joked backwards, leaning into the press of his lips against her cheek. They were although like most boys, a bit of chapstick wouldn't have hurt him. At least he didn't smell though like some - okay, most of the Ravenclaw boys. Sometimes Vi wanted to sneakity sneak into their bathroom and place a great big bottle of deodorant spray on the bench, though even then... would they use it? Probably not!
As Archie explained about seeing his therapist, Vi bobbed her head as she listened because that sounded like a lot of fun! "Awesome! That's pretty neato, that your therapist lets you decorate his office, and I love Christmas cookies because who doesn't? They're, like, the bees knees. Did you make them and lick the spoon?" Vi asked, her mind pleasantly wandering to the thought of the way Archie would have looked after gobbling down a bunch of cookies, crumbs lining his lips. Crumbs that Vi would have very much offered to lick off, a twinkle in her eye all the while.
"A pretty girl like me? Gosh, you're a charmer, Archie," Vi said, moving a hand to play with the hair at the back of his neck. Why? Just because she could and really... she just liked the intimacy of the whole thing, of being able to touch people and be close to them. A cheeky grin donned Vi's face as she said, "I'm not alone now though, am I? Lucky me."

As usual, Vi was practically bouncing as she entered the History of Magic class, her eyes as wide as saucers. "Whoa, Prof, look how fabby dabby this set-up is! It's, like... whoa. Can you keep it like this forever? It's so much better than a stuffy ol' classroom," Vi raved, hands moving madly as she took a seat next to James Potter and started unpacking. She didn't usually sit beside James because hey, somebody new, right? Maybe she'd make a friend in this class.
Listening to the story that was being told, Vi bobbed her head along, at one point looking over to shoot a smile at James and maybe whisper how spooky ooky it was when she noticed the Gryffindor boy had his head resting on the desk. Immediately, Vi lowered her own voice, nudging him lightly with an elbow. "You're gonna get in trouble if you're all sleepy, y'know? Plus, I don't reckon desks are the most comfortable place to have a wee sleep, are they? Beds are good for that."
With that, Vi sat back in her chair, listening to the rest of the class answer the Professor's question of what happened in Roanoke. She didn't have the foggiest, and so she didn't pipe up, instead grabbing the quill from her ink pot, starting to doodle a few things on the parchment in front of her.

"Such a clever lil' sausage you are!" Vi informed her friend with a grin, inspecting the bracelet once Clary had fastened it around her wrist... and the colours. By Merlin, the different shades of blue were just stunning! Vi would definitely have to do some colour matching in the future. One of the lighter shades would make a particularly wonderful addition to the oceans she loved to paint. "You shopped for the rest of our pals - I'd say gal pals 'cause, y'know, it rhymes and all but gosh, we have so many boy friends - not boyfriends, just friends who are boys - and I'd hate for them to feel left out, y'know?"
Clary's big sister sounded amazing, though she had so many siblings... Vi really wasn't sure which one she was talking about. "Erm, which one? Is that the 'puffy 'puff? The one that got all smooshed at the ball? Which... oh! Which, by the by, is awful. Is she doing alright now? Did they fix her arm all up with Skelegro?" As a little tyke, Vi had broken her own arm by falling out of a tree quite spectacularly and her muggle mum had watched as her wizarding mum had fixed her up with amazement. "Oh no, well, next time! We'll have a little play around together." When Clary informed her she'd keep the blue just for her, Vi grinned, reaching out to twirl a strand of her friend's hair. "How lucky am I then? Getting to see you and your pretty blue hair everyday. I'm the luckiest."
"Ah, split straight down the middle then! At least there's so many of you that you won't be lonely," Vi said, beaming at the thought. Perks of having a big family, she supposed, but she was just happy with it being her and her two little brothers. "Yep, going straight on home. I can't wait to see my mums, I've missed them a super duper lot."

Despite knowing that the Room of Requirement existed - and she obviously did know it was a thing, she'd hosted a wee party in there with Elena a few months back - it was rare that Vi actually went and visited the room. She didn't know why but it just never went poppity pop in her brain as an idea. Maybe it was because in empty classrooms, you ran the risk of bumping into someone and Vi actually liked that because usually it was somebody she didn't quite expect. She loved meeting new people, and making new friends. Apart from singing, playing guitar, painting and kissing... it was her favourite thing to do.
As the door opened to the Room of Requirement after Vi did the usual walking past it three times, her eyes lit up because... "Golly golly gumdrops, isn't this a sight to behold?" She was talking to herself, raving about how pretty the room was, before she caught sight of the boy sitting on a plushy couch. Practically bouncing over, Vi planted herself on the arm of the couch. "Hiya! Jedrek, right? I think we have a few - well, I mean, most classes together, right? I take Divination and Muggle Studies as an elective. Which ones do you take again?"
