With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Leaving the Great Hall with a spring in her step, sandwich clutched firmly with one hand, Vi was excited. She was planning on eating outside in the courtyard today in order to enjoy the beautiful weather. Was it sunny and shining? No, of course not. It was only January, after all. But it for the first time in yonks, it wasn't dark, gloomy or pouring down rain. It was just a wee bit chilly instead and she had a big coat on as well as a knitted scarf wrapped around her neck to protect herself from those elements anyway.
Reaching the courtyard, Vi let out a great big yawn, wondering if perhaps she should have grabbed herself a coffee for lunch too but... no, that was not a good idea unless she wanted to be positively bouncing off the walls like she had been the last time she'd thought that drinking a coffee was a grand idea. She could cope with a bit of tiredness, especially given that it was self-inflicted from her late night painting sesh anyway. Oopsie doopsies!
Glancing around her shoulder to find a seat, Vi's eyes light up as she found the most perfect seat of all and she wandered straight to it, dropping her bottom straight down onto Archie's lap with a bright smile. "Hiya Archiekins! Can I just say a bit of a break has done wonders for you? Look at how positively super duper handsome you're looking on this beautiful, nippy day," she chattered, before giving a little wave to Archie's familiar cat, Mitzy. "Whatcha doing?"

The best thing ever... well, maybe. With impish eyes to match the mischievous little smile that donned her lips, Vi looked up at Liam. "Even better than that little game of Spin the Bottle?" That had been a blast, at least in Vi's opinion. She'd even ended up with a smooch or two. She he'd also heard around the rumour mill that she'd also maybe gave someone the cranky pants but that was the past, right? Not need to be a worry wart about something you couldn't change and besides... nobody had confronted her about it.
"We're gonna be pros at losing our virginity!" Vi responded with a very enthusiastic nod. It would be like that'd already skated a thousand times before... or maybe not. Oh well. A wet bottom didn't phase her. One foot in front of the other was the wise advice bestowed upon her by Liam - Merlin, he was so smart - and Vi followed it to a tee, gliding across the ice alongside Liam with a gleeful laugh.
They were only a couple of metres in, however, when their little stumbles turned into a great big one and Vi's balance didn't prevail this time as she slipped backwards, landing on her bottom with a thump, dragging Liam along with her. "Whoops! Sorry," she said, scrambling to get up except... she couldn't get her traction. "We need a wall, or... do you reckon you'd could stand up and, like, pull me? You look like you could with your super duper bulging muscles." It was said in jest, of course, marked by the grin on Vi's face but he did have nice muscles from what she'd seen. She couldn't wait for summer.

"Maybe one day in five years when we're super duper old you'll hear me singing Love Muffin. I might even dedicate it to you if you're lucky," Vi teased, prodding her friend in the side playfully. She could just see it now, being on stage of The Leaky Cauldron, singing her wee little heart out and strumming on her guitar. It was the dream... or maybe being having her own gallery show was the dream. Vi hadn't quite decided yet but people could totally have more than one dream, right?
A cinnamon roll. The compliment had Vi absolutely beaming, and she excitedly tore of the paper to reveal an absolutely fab looking leather braided bracelet. Immediately, Vi's eyes light up once more and handed the bracelet to Clary with a giggle, waving her wrist. "You do the honours? This is stunning. Did you make it? You're such a clever clogs!" she gushed, admiring Clary's hair in the process. She loved it when it was blue, it was gorgeous. It made Vi's heart yearn for her friend to be in the same house at times because how fun would sleepovers be?
Clary's endless round of compliments had Vi's cheeks hurting with how much she was smiling, and she leaned into the kiss the Gryffindor girl bestowed upon her. "I'm so glad you like it! Your hair looks pretty because it is in real life, silly billy!" The subject of Edmund had her smile fading however, just a touch. "He's getting better. Thank goodness for magic, I guess? I think if it'd have happened in the muggle world... he'd still be in the hospital wing."
A rather awful image of Edmund laying in a stark white hospital bed, skin as pale as a ghost, popped up in Vi's head and so she was grateful for Clary's change of subject. She shrugged, shaking her head. "I wasn't playing any real song, just playing about! So... you going home for the holidays?"

Tying the final knot in her laces, Vi looked up at Liam with bright and excited eyes 'cause this was totally the best idea ever?! Right? What could go wrong? If Vi had actually thought the question through instead of letting herself be distracted by how handsome the Hufflepuff in front of her was in all his tall, smoochie-lipped glory, she'd realise that the answer to her question was lots of things could go wrong, especially given that she'd never actually skated before and she wasn't super duper sure if Liam had either. They could trip over, break a limb, break the ice. But none of those things actually occurred to her as being a possibility.
Striking her hand up into the air, Vi took the one by Liam's side without invitation, pulling herself to her feet with a giggle. "This is gonna be, like, the most super duper fun ever, right?" Then glancing down at her feet, Vi blinked before asking, "Er, do I just like... move one foot in front of the other or something? But just glide it instead?" Without even waiting for his answer, Vi went to take a step forward before shrieking in surprise, her knees going all wibbly wobbly and she glanced back up at him with a laugh. "You're gonna have to hold my hand for a little bit, okay? Don't let go, or I'll totally haunt you forever and ever when I die."

@celeste
Smoochie smooched in the Ravenclaw dorm, lots of fun! 10/10 would smooch again.
@mark Kissed in an empty classroom. Boy is a wee bit prickly but a fairly good kisser! We're now acquaintances. Maybe kissing people = more acquaintances/friends?
@felix Another empty classroom, another smooch. This time with the my fave fourth year Gryffindor named Felix, bless his socks! 10/10 would kiss again.
@rowena Short, cheeky Spin the Bottle snog! Probably wouldn't smooch again because there's something super duper strange going on with her and Cassidy.
GREYSON AVERY Surprisingly long smooch at Spin the Bottle... and it didn't taste too much like smoke. Counting my blessings!
ELENA COLDWATER Another Spin the Bottle smooch! E asked me not to hold back, so I didn't. Still need to borrow her chapstick later!
@felix 10/10 kissed again at Spin the Bottle! Would kiss a thousand times over.
CATHERINE 'KITTY' DENNISON Gave one of my cutie patootie pals a smoochin' outside of the Gryffindor common room. It was soft and sweet, just like her! 10/10

"Anyone ever told you you're the biggest cutie patootie when you turn all pink, Fe?" Vi teased, brushing her thumbs over his cheeks as she admired the red lipstick marks that she'd left all over his face. They looked good, in her opinion! "I love that you can just wear a suit. Most people think they're super duper formal and only meant for, like, dances and stuff but I think you should wear what you want whenever you want, y'know? 'Cause what's the fun in having a suit if you only get to wear it once or twice a year?"
When Felix asked what she was painting, Vi shrugged loosely. "I think it's going to be another woman, her hair fading into the rivers and mountains like she's connected to the nature, you know? It's like a... a mental connection, but brought to real life on the canvas." Vi gesticulated wildly as she spoke, probably not making sense but then again... when did she really? She was scatterbrained approximately 99% of the time.
"Mm... nope, not any new ones - I made an acquaintance, but apparently we're not friends. I can't tell you though 'cause we smooched and I promised not to kiss and tell." Knowing her though... she'd probably forget said promise and end up letting it slip by accident later. "How's, um... was it Rosalia? Didn't you have some... thingy majiggy going on with her? Or was I imagining that?"

Sitting in the courtyard, all rugged up in her big woolly jumper courtesy of her mums from last Christmas actually, Vi balanced her guitar between her legs and her hands, strumming the strings gently. She wasn't singing, but more so playing around, trying to find a new combination of chords that sounded like they flowed nicely together and that would one day would hopefully work for a song she'd write.
Glancing up mid-strum, Vi's eyes landed on the little blossom of joy also know as Clary, and she broke out into a great big smile because gosh, she was just fantabulous. Vi adored her to bits and pieces! Who wouldn't? Taking the box presented to her, Vi's eyes light up. "Are you the sweetest little love muffin?" she sing-songed, before ruffling inside of her bag and producing her own wrapped gift, a painting she'd done of Clary earlier in the year - except it wasn't just a regular old painting, it was one where Clary's blue hair led into a mountain with a river rushing through it. "You can open it now if you want! Did you want me to leave mine a super duper surprise on Christmas day? I'm sure I'm going to love it!"
When Clary asked the question of whether she was doing okay, Vi faulted for a moment before slowly nodding. "Yeah, it's... I guess so. I'm just mostly kinda a worry wart about Ed these days, you know? Since... since he got trampled and all. He's probably all sick of me by now... how are you?"
Post by VIOLA ROSALINE on Aug 17, 2019 9:53:38 GMT
It was a bone cold, chilly winter's morning but that didn't phase Vi in the slightest as she sat back on her haunches, staring at the painting she had propped up on a desk in front of her. She was in her element, this close to putting on the finishing brushstrokes when the door squeaked, a tell-tale sign someone had decided to join her. She wondered whether it was grumpy pants Mark, or maybe someone a bit more pleasant before deciding she did have eyes so she could just check, couldn't she?
Whirling around, Vi's eyes landed on Felix, standing there in all his handsome glory. Merlin, that jawline. Vi just wanted to make him sit there and model for her so she could capture the sharp line in one of her paintings - but given her paintings were usually surreal, it'd probably end up being a jaw transforming into, like... an open road or a forest clearing or something whacky.
Lighting up with joy, Vi dropped her paintbrush on the ground, splattering the pretty cerulean paint all over the floor in the process whilst she scrambled to her feet. It was then she practically launched herself in a hug at Felix, smooching all over his cheeks in the process before giving him a tiny little kiss on the tip of his nose, leaving a load of red lipstick marks in her wake. "You always look fantabulous, but do I really need to tell you that? You just have to look in the mirror to see it." With her daily compliment out of the way, Vi looked at Felix curiously. "So... what's up, buttercup? Whatcha doing?"
Post by VIOLA ROSALINE on Aug 14, 2019 10:34:13 GMT
When Professor Tyrell ordered them to find a partner quickly, a great big grin broke out across Vi's face. So it was written, so it should be... told? Wait, was that the right turn of phrase? Vi wasn't sure, but oh well. Sounded hunky dory to her! Turning to Felix and drumming her fingers on the table, Vi asked him brightly, "So, Fe! Which one d'you think we should do first? Word of warning, I'm not super duper good at potions - I mean, you probably know that since we've been in the same class for like... ever, but if you wear the bossy pants, I'll follow along!"
When the straight-forward question of Liam being one of Vi's various snoggy snog partners was asked, the corners of Vi's lips twitched upwards because gosh, that was straight-forward. But then, after leaving Mark in suspense for what she was certain was a torturous three seconds, she broke out into a laugh and shook her head. "Nopity nope. Just a pal~o, good friend. Best friend, actually, as well as Flora and Elena and Clary! I'd say we're all a couple o' gal pals but we're not all gals, so I guess not."
The tilt of Mark's head in her direction as she mimicked his voice was enough to make Vi let out a giggle, before shaking her head. But he didn't get up her for it, instead changing the subject to Celeste and Vi's flexibility. Vi looked at Mark, puzzled for a moment, before shaking her head. "My gosh, do you know anyone in our year? She's my dormmate. We don't swing off the bedposts together in tandem like those swimmers do! What do they call that again? Waterobics?" She did, however, kiss Celeste... or at least, she had that one time.
Mark was all but demanding she choose somebody and Vi hummed for a moment because a) she wanted to leave him in suspense and b) because he wasn't the boss of her. She even left his question for a moment, playfully rolling her eyes as he stated it wasn't a 'magical card game.' "If it was... I don't think a collection card game would be very fun," she joked, poking her tongue out before clicking it. He was still asking and so Vi's mind went all whirly. "Oh... hmm... well... does it have to be just one person?
Vi's brows raised almost as high as her hairline as Mark proclaimed he didn't care what the other people he kissed thought, although she didn't outright call him on it. She just found it super duper hard to believe that one person was so... meh, towards other's feelings. "It's not a big deal, I just wanna know," Vi said with a laugh, shrugging. "Kinda nice to think about. Makes my belly go all warm." When Mark, however, asked who the fuck Liam was, Vi gave a dramatic gasp because, "How do you not know who Liam is? He's only, like, the cooliest person ever. Gosh, I need to introduce the two of you. You'd love each other, adore each other to pieces really!"
"My gosh, I'm a lucky duck. Being said hello to in class and all," Vi said with an impish grin, eyes twinkling. "Maybe if I'm super lucky and you're feeling gracious, I'll get a -" Vi lowered her voice, adopting her very best 'Mark' voice which alarmingly sounded kind of like Morgan Freeman, "'hello, Viola.'" Her own impersonation had her giggling a minute later, before Mark was... flirting? Asking her to show him her acrobatic moves? "I am pretty flexible! I can, like... totally swing off the pole of my bed. I'm sure Celeste's seen me do it a few times... you could totally ask her if you don't believe me."
"That's pretty... icky. I don't want to think about house elves and... well, they'd have to, right? Since there's new house elves being born and they've gotta have the babies somehow - or, y'know, make the babies," Vi said, face scrunching up even further as she thought over this topic because yeah, gross. She was not a fan of this... oh, at all.
The questions that Mark asked about her virginity... in all truthfulness, didn't phase her very much and wiggling back til her bottom touched as desk, Vi slid onto it. She may as well get comfy if they were going to have a deep and meaningful conversation about this. "Mm... no, not really! I mean, it's super duper sweet that there could be lots of options out there, but I guess if someone wants to and I feel comfy enough with them and safe and want to and all that jazz then I'd be all sweet as pie!"
When Mark chose her, Vi's face positively lit up because gosh, wasn't that just the sweetest darn tootin' thing? "Really?" she asked, bringing her legs up onto the desk to cross them underneath her bottom. "Gosh, here I was thinking you wouldn't even consider smooching me again and I'd be the one you'd lose your v... card? That's a thing, right? A v-card. Do people say that? Uh, anyway. That I'd be the one you'd consider losing your virginity to. How fab."
"Do all of the people you put your lips on like it when you tell them that? Do you have return customers?" Vi teased, reaching out to gently prod Mark's side again. He really was... just very handsome. She imagined there quite a few girls and... "Do you kissy wissy boys as well or is it just only girly wirlies for you?" The thought of Mark kissing another boy was... well, it was quite appealing, even making Vi's bright blue eyes glaze over for a bit. Who would she like him to kiss... hmm. Maybe Evan, maybe... oh, Skylar! NO! No. "You should totally smoochie wooch Liam. That'd be super duper... phew!" Vi mimicked fanning herself her hand.
Mark's let go of her hand relatively quickly - not too much of a surprise there, really, but he surprised her a split second later by planting a kiss on her cheek. "Acquaintances it is... hey, does this mean you'll say hiya to me in class then?" Maybe if she was 'lucky' he would... heckeroni, maybe one day he'd even let her sit next to him. Merlin's beard, that day piggly wigs would probably fly up high in the sky as well!
"Here I was, thinking you had all those honey bunnies in your bed. Maybe you were just all cuddly wuddly instead?" Vi joked, reaching up to twist a strand of blonde hair and tuck it behind her ear. Then she was scrunching up her nose because, "Do house elves even know about sex? D'you... d'you reckon they have it?" Golly gosh, that was such a weird thing to even contemplate. It kinda squicked her out in all honesty! But then Mark was asking who she'd do it with in Hogwarts and Vi tapped her chin thoughtfully. She'd never actually thought about who she'd sleep with when it happened. "Hmm... I... I dunno! Maybe... I guess whoever wants to do it with me and vice versa. How 'bout you?"
Post by VIOLA ROSALINE on Jul 31, 2019 13:18:38 GMT
As Mark told her not to expect anything, Vi's lips twitched with complete and utter amusement. She would never, in a million years, think he'd do something like that anyway. Even in a relationship. He very much seemed like the type to maybe hold your hand in the hall if you were lucky, but not the type to physically lay the affection on, nor give gifts. It was a shame, given he was quite handsome and she was certain there were people in Hogwarts eager to date him. She was sure they'd be let down but since she wasn't interested in dating him anyway, it was no biggie wiggie to her.
"Okie dokes! Well, Marky Mark. I hope you tell all your honey bunnies not to expect on that... or am I just special?" she teased, before standing on her tiptoes and giving him a quick smooch on the cheek. It was a shame she'd taken her lipstick off, as she'd imagine it'd have left quite a fab mark (heh) behind. His hand trailing down her arm caught her attention and Vi was tempted to entwine her fingers with his, let his hand envelope hers, and so she did. Friends could hold hands, right? Speaking of which... with a twinkle in her eye, she asked, "So does kissing make us pals now or can I not expect that either?"
His question had her letting out quite a shocked laugh though, completely caught off-guard. "Have you?" she returned, though she wasn't offended by the question, just curious instead. "I only smooched a boy last year, a girl this year... and nopity nope, no further than kisses! Though sometimes I wonder what it'd be like. But I think my mums would kill me if I did anything more than kissing and they found out. They gave me the great big 'talk' in the summer and I know how to not get all preggy pregs they're a bit... worry warty, I think. I get it, I just... wouldn't want to be pregnant at fourteen. People think I'm super duper dumb, but I'm not a silly billy. I know how to protect myself from sex."

The smug smile that donned Mark's face had Vi laughing and shaking her head. "You need to clean those ears out, Marky Mark! I said fourth and upwards," Vi told him, twiddling a strand of hair before tucking it behind her ears. Then a cheeky grin crossed her face as she reached out to gently prod Mark's side. "I thought you had better hearing that that. Maybe you're secretly an 80 year old."
It took a few seconds for Mark to warm up though heckeroni, the thought that he wouldn't even kiss her back definitely rushed through Vi's mind. He was such a confusing creature at times, standoffish and closed off but touchy when you said the wrong thing. But when he did kiss her back, relief flooded Vi's veins.
By Merlin, it was wonderful, especially as she could feel him gain momentum, his hesitant kiss turning into one with equal compassion, his hands moving to grip her waist which she adored. Instantly, she melted into his touch, her body pressed up against his as her own fingers gently twisted the dark hair at the nape of his neck, playing with the soft strands.
But then suddenly, he broke the kiss and Vi gazed up at Mark, her face open and her eyes wondrous. Then a slow smile moved across her lips, giggling as he mentioned falling for him. "In case you haven't noticed, silly billy, I'm standing not falling. Though, on my tippy toes which is kinda starting to hurt," she said, before rocking back to plant her feet flat on the ground. "I don't really... I mean, I adored smooching you and I wouldn't mind doing it again but I'm not really a... boyfriend or girlfriend kinda girl, y'know?"
Post by VIOLA ROSALINE on Jul 28, 2019 12:28:28 GMT
Mark's reply to Vi's compliment actually had the girl bursting out in giggles, clapping a hand over her mouth because so serious. So... the polar opposite of her personality. It took a moment to compose herself but when she did, she said with a voice full of amusement, "You sound like a professor's dream! Like, when you have those little chats with them one on one, the interviewy thingys, you sound like you have the answer they want to hear."
How many did she imagine in an orgy? "The entirety of fourth year and upwards so, like... a lot of people, all in your bed, cuddling. May have to shove all of the fourth year Slytherin beds together to fit everyone, d'you reckon?" Vi said, mind racing with the thought of a great big cuddly pile of people. She loved being hugged, so it was a very happy image popping up in her brain right now.
Vi only just managed to sneak her tongue back inside her mouth as Mark suddenly jumped off the table, making his quick approach. For a moment, she thought he was actually going to do something... well, scary. Especially with that glint in his eye, the one that seemed to scream 'you're so annoying.' But then he was leaning down, crashing his lips around hers, and... that was all? Colour her disappointed. "That's... gosh, Mark. Thought you would've planted a fab dabby smooch on me after all that."
Her disappointment didn't last long, however, as she came up with a splendid idea. Standing up on her tiptoes and flinging her arms over his neck, Vi's lips pressed up against Mark's. The kiss greatly contrasted the one he'd planted on her earlier, instead filled with warmth and affection. She just hoped he would kiss her back.
