With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain
❧
Scarlett wanted to go to the dance with someone she could trust, someone she knew wouldn't let her down. Scarlett let out a small sigh and just looked at Ozzy who seemed to be looking for someone else. The brunette nudged his shoulder with her own.
"Don't worry, no one will touch me." she said softly and spotted his sister in a corner sipping from a glass. Ariella seemed quite not amused by this but Scarlett figured she had a reason. The girl then looked around.

Nadya had chosen to go to the ball alone, the slightest of protests against the fact that between herself, Lyuba, and the vampire girl who had tried to attack her, no other magical creatures had been allowed to attend Hogwarts long enough to be at this dance. She wanted to show that she was proud of it, so she'd put on a golden dress and made her way to the Great Hall despite not having a date. Her feet were in flats, all the better to dance with, though with her height, it would have been a little fun to tower over all the boys as well as the girls. Ah, well, she would be far more comfortable this way.
She gave a slight wave in Grace's direction as she entered the hall and saw the rather sweet Hufflepuff, but didn't stop among the sixth years she was hanging out with. Instead, Nadya headed for the more familiar faces, her own classmates, who were... attending the dance together? That was unexpected, as Scarlett seemed very committed to her own boyfriend, but strange things happened all the time. It would be best just to ask what was going on. Besides, Scarlett didn't look entirely happy to be on Ozzy's arm, and Nadya couldn't blame her.
"Scarlett!" she said, smiling, walking over to her roommate and pointedly ignoring her date. She lowered her voice then, not wanting anyone to hear. "You don't look very cheerful tonight. Is something going on?"
The witch was not going to lie about the fact that she had been rather nervous for the ball. Because she knew that she would have no one to go with. And how it would suck not to hang out with her brother. Even if he would have more than likely had a date. So it was no lie this was bittersweet, but she wanted to have a good time. Even if that meant seeing Cooper drunk and just being an asshole. But the witch put a smile on her face, as she had entered the ball.
She looked around as the great hall looked beautiful, and she let out a sigh. Even though she didn't believe in dating but she would have liked to have some friends. But she could always make friends, despite most thinking she was a bit of a stuck up bitch.
Despite being lonely she didn't feel like walking up to random strangers. But she knew they may be the only choice, because she wanted to avoid her brother. Looking around she let out a smile. And she decided that she would try and walk up to a random person.
"The hall looks gorgeous tonight." she said with a small smile, even if she didn't know how they would react. But she did want to have fun. Even if going out of her comfort zone.

Cassidy knows how it feels to be alone, to be invisible. She was lucky to have the few friends she had otherwise she would have been all alone every single day. Cassidy was the family bastard and she was well aware that no one liked her. Her mother was disliked, her existence was disliked and Cassidy had a hard time fighting back sometimes. But she firmly believed no one should be alone, especially with Christmas.
"Pleasure to meet you Mark, you're a sixth year right? I don't remember seeing you in classes." she said and smiled a bit. The blonde watched him down his punch and she looked at her own glass with slight terror. "I sure hope so but I cannot guarentee a thing." she said and bit her lip.
"Bottoms up?" she said and down her own glass just so they were even. "Ew ew.. yep no. I am sorry but my kind gesture will not be kind to your tastebuds." she said and put the glass down. He then asked about her date and Cassidy shook her head.
"I'm not. It's just me." she said and bit her lip. "Are you?"

I'M YOUR CH-CH-CHERRY
BOMB| CHERRY BOMB| CHERRY BOMB|
GET DOWN LADIES, YOU'VE GOT NOTHING TO LOSE
Rose had been trying to tell herself that what she felt was okay to feel. That her feelings mattered even when she was also slightly convinced they didn't matter. One day she had to come out to her parents, bring Frankie home and not be embarrassed that they will destroy everything she felt.
The ginger looked into the direction of the doors and gasped when she saw Frankie in the most beautiful black dress. Truth be told she expected her to come in a suit but this was the best view Rose could ask for. She watched her come closer and in her mind Rose had been trying to think of a million things to say but Frankie's comment about her own dress made her laugh.
"You look amazing too." she said and reached out for her hands.
Mark smirked, when she asked if he was a sixth year. Of course, she had not noticed him in class. He usually kept to himself, never spoke up and often hid behind another student – afraid to be called out by the professor. However, after the smirk, he shook his head.
“No, I am fourth!” He replied and let his dark eyes linger at hers. “I am just rather invisible. A quality I have acquired throughout the years…” What the hell was that? Wass he trying to be sarcastic? Moron!
He too drank the punch right as Cassidy emptied her glass. He made a grimace, but it was not as bad as the drink he had before. Mark placed the empty glass onto the table and quickly grabbed some sparkling water with a piece of lime floating among the ice cubes.
Mark almost snorted – almost – when the girl asked if he was here with someone.
“Are you kidding?” He asked her, “Of course not. I have no idea who it should be…” Mark shrugged. “Although I am surprised that you are here by yourself. I was beginning to think that I was the only one here without a date.”

Evan's face contorted in embarrassment as Aggy mentioned sausages. Merlin, he'd heard all about his little sausage fest the day after. He cleared his throat and pulled at his bowtie because boy it was hot in the Common Room.
Oh. Right. Maybe it would help if he moved away from the fire? Evan ran his finger tips through his hair as he paced away from the fireside. He caught sight of his dorm mate, Greyson, leaving their room and Evan quickly turned the other way. Nope, Greyson had shared private information and made things horrible for two of their housemates so he wouldn't even get a smile from Evan for the forseeable future. Take. That. Aggy was telling him something about the 1980s but he couldn't reply because Greyson didn't get to hear his voice this day so when he was gone, Evan turned to watch Aggy step out the door.
"Agnes, you are beautiful," he said with a wide grin as he walked over to where she stood. "Beautiful," he repeated, his bright blue eyes scanning over her pretty dress that complimented that fiery red hair and just how.. er… womanly, the girl looked. Evan had to fight the urge to pull at his the tie at his throat again. "Gosh, did Liam's little leprechaun magically grow six inches?" Evan teased, stepping that little closer to see just exactly where she came up to him.
"I think my ancestors can have words with my mother about the kilt thing," Evan laughed easily and offered out his arm for Agnes to take. "Or did you just want to get a sneak peek of my buttocks, Clearwater?" he wriggled his brows at his little friend. "I mean it's understandable. I tell you what, I'll show you mine if you show me yours?" he was only teasing, of course, but it was a fun way to pass the time until the pair got to the Great Hall.
Once there, Evan would stand with his jaw loose at the entrance. "Wow," Evan squeezed Agnes' arm closer to him as he took in the sights. "Just... wow look … I think this beats my buttocks."

Cassidy felt like a legit idiot. She should've known they had classes together! Why didn't she notice him? why didn't they ever talk? The blonde felt her cheeks flush red a bit when he said he was only a fourth year, he was saying how he had a quality of invisibility and her mind started to wonder if he used a spell of such.
"Like an invisibility spell?" she asked and gave him a sweet smile. "I'm so sorry I never noticed. I feel like an idiot." she said and bit her bottom lip. The blonde felt so silly and shook her head when he asked if she was kidding. She truly had no date to the dance.
"I am not kidding at all." she said and held her hand out. "Dance with me?" she asked him and hoped he said yes. She could use a dance with a new friend. "I don't need a date, this allows me to dance with my friends." she said and smiled brighter.
The dance wasn't something Charlie wanted to attend, even said she wasn't and had found herself being judged by a few people close to her. Somehow Olivia had convinced her to go for Gem's sake. Okay, it was a bad idea to let her own girlfriend to go to the dance alone and Charlie could be called an asshole by some, something she will not deny cause she did have her moments. Though once she had put on the black dress she had, and the rest of her outfit, she had made her way out of the Hufflepuff dorm room, bypassing some of the other students and headed straight for the Great Hall.
Her eyes had scanned the crowd for Gemini, and she sighed as she stood awkwardly in the corner of the place, playing with her hands. It took her a couple of minutes to finally spot the fellow Puff, and she let out a small annoyed groan before she headed straight for her, bumping into a few people and apologizing under her breath until she got to her.
"Excuse me, sorry..." she said as she tried to reach for her girlfriend's arm. "Can I steal you?"
Okay. maybe she was a little jealous at the attention she was getting.
As Cassidy blushed, Mark concluded that she must be a popular girl. All pretty girls were popular. How come some people had the ability to blush without looking like a red tomato? It was unfair! And alongside her flawless golden locks and irresistible symmetric face it felt almost weird that she was here all alone – without a date. A girl like her would have had the entire week up to the ball to pick between several bachelors. Maybe she was just critical about who to go with? Then what the bloody hell was she doing with him?
“Seriously, it is alright. I did not expect you to know me…” Mark said almost apologetically, feeling bad for making her feel awkward – what was up with pretty girls and making him feel that way? “Really! It is alright.”
Oh no, what was she doing now? She held out her hand and asked him to dance. Cassidy made a valid point, when she asked him. Since she did not have a date, she could dance with whomever she wanted. Sadly, Mark has never danced with a girl before, and it terrified him. People would definitely point fingers and laugh!
“O-oh, I can’t.” He stuttered quickly and raised his drink. “I am holding a drink.” Well that was a lame excuse. “And I have two left feet.” That was a better one.

Gemini enjoyed the dancing and Flora was so silly but it was cute! The brunette tried to copy her moves and swayed her hips to the music. It was a shame Charlie couldn't be here but she wasn't going to force her either! Gemini would find a way to have fun with new friends she was making!
It was then someone gripped her arm and she looked to her side to spot her girlfriend. Charlie looked beautiful in a black dress and Gem didn't even think it was possible that Charlie could wear them but the dress looked amazing.
"Oh Charlie hi!" she said and nodded when Charlie asked if she could steal her. "Of course!" she said and turned to Flora. "Thank you for the dance lesson! Now I can move like John Lemon! Was it Lennon or Lemon?" she was a bit confused here.
"Charlie I need to show you I can dance like him now!" she said with a grin on her face and skipped off to dance with Charlie.

Mark was such a sweetie! She already adored him and they just met! If she had met him before, long before maybe they could have been friends longer but there was nothing but time to make some changes. Cassidy still held her hand out, not because she wanted to force him to be her friend or to dance with her but because she sort of forgot her hand was still out there.
"Oh but I want to know you if you let me." she said and chewed on her bottom lip a bit nervously. She didn't know why she was so out there asking a guy to dance, she never was this brave. The blonde nodded when he said he couldn't dance and she chuckled.
"I can't dance either so.. we can look silly together?" she didn't want to pressure him, if he really didn't want to dance she could find someone else maybe? Or just talk to him.
Would he let her get to know him? What if she found him boring? He would find himself boring. There was no way he would ever befriend himself. Cassidy bit her bottom lip and looked very sweet as she did so. It was almost impossible to say no, but it was a huge step for Mark have his first dance with a girl. He wanted to say yes, but the fear of embarrassment was too big to ignore. However, there was a small devil on his shoulder that started whispering to him that it might not be so bad – after all, he practiced music. He played the violin. He played the piano. He could easily find and keep a rhythm. Yet, the music that was played tonight was not the classical one he was brought up with. It was rock and pop. Good tracks everyone knew, but to Mark they had been forbidden. His parents had forced him to study classical music instead of listening to what they called “garbage”.
There was no way in heaven Cassidy was bad at dancing. Pretty girls were good at everything! It was a proven fact! Nevertheless, it calmed Mark hearing her say so. Maybe if he believed it hard enough, it could come true? He emptied his drink and bravely grabbed her hand – maybe holding it a bit too tightly, because he was nervous. The moment they stepped onto the dancefloor, the music changed into a popular upbeat number that sent many students cheering and running onto the dancefloor. Mark felt overwhelmed, but at the same time, it was easier to hide in the crowd surrounding the two of them.
“So… Er… How to start?” He assumed she would lead all the way. “I don’t usually listen to that kind of music.” However, standing among dancing people – sweaty dancing people – he liked it. “So, can you do the moonwalk or…?” He could not help smiling – the music was great, but how the bloody hell do you start dancing?

Yes! Cassidy had a dance partner! Cassidy was beyond excited to have the dance partner she hoped to get. Did she expect him to be a good dancer? No. Did she expect him to make fun of her? Maybe but she got used to being bullied and he didn't seem like the bully type whatsoever. Cassidy looked at the band who started to play a rather upbeat song and others were just dancing, jumping and being silly.
"I guess we jump and wave our arms around?" she asked and laughed a bit as they got to the dance floor. "What is a moonwalk?" she asked and tried to walk in slowmotion like she was in space! That must be a moonwalk right? The girl laughed at her own idiocy and shook her head.
I will not, I will NOT give a damn of who watches me! I will live, I will LIVE! Liberate the fox in me! Mark had to close his eyes to be able to concentrate. This was intense. His nervousness overshadowed his ability to find the rhythm, but the fact that people jumped around him made the floor bounce as well, and the rhythm was suddenly there. It had been there all along. He grinned and started jumping before spinning one round and facing Cassidy once again.
“That was a fantastic moonwalk. Although it did look like some kind of muggle robot!” He said and tried to do the same as she had done, failing miserably. “I have only heard of the move. Never done it myself!”
Mark realized that it did not matter if people laughed at him, because everyone was laughing at the moment. It was great. This must be like it feels being drunk! The boy concluded. What a rush. Extremely addictive! And the music was so captivating, easy and perfectly good. He noticed that the same four chords were playing, but that did not matter. People loved it.
“Let me try doing the moonwalk again.” He said and walked around, looking like a robot like: if he died tonight at least he went hard! “This is crazy. Cassidy! How much fun is this?!” He moved over to her and bravely took her hand. “I have never danced with a girl before!” He admitted loudly.
