With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Thank Merlin that Gabriel made it down to the pitch with the lump of snake in his arms. He didn't have time to think about how annoyed he was to have dropped the quaffle in order to help this fourth year because soon Gabriel was surrounded by a small throng of adults and one bossy-bitch witch. "Next time I'll let her fall," he snapped right back at Vinda, promptly imitating his twin brother with a good old hand gesture involving only one finger. "Oi Sally! Send the bludger down here - there's an extra snake on the pitch," Gabriel called up to the kid though no doubt the wind would carry it away before she could possibly hear.
The moment he could get Flora out of his arms came too late - Cooper Narro had scored against his team. Gabriel took off back up into the skies as soon as he could for the quaffle to come back into play. He was on his way to catch the toss from the Hufflepuff Keeper when Sally intercepted a bludger, "you're always my hero!" he called back to the girl and then took off at as fast a speed as he dared to race up to the other end of the stadium. "He shoots and -" Gabriel threw the quaffle at the hoops, hoping that Raouf was too... well... worried for his broken team mate to properly defend the hoops.
After dodging the dastardly bludger, Raouf was on high alert. He gave a small clap of his hands as Cooper scored in but now it was show time. His frown deepened as the hero of the pitch got his hands on the ball. Sure, Gabriel had 'saved' their teammate but surely a teacher could have caught her, right? He couldn't drop his guard or take it easy on the Hufflepuff. How Raouf played could be a deciding factor on whether Slytherin would win the house cup or not. The captain would pull Raouf off the team the instant he faltered. The Slytherin keeper watched as Gabriel raced towards him, moving upwards in unease. He'd heard that Gabriel was a good shot, but Raouf had to be a better catcher.
As the ball was flung, for a moment he was unsure if he could reach it as he lifted up. It slammed against his fingers but he used the force to knock it into his other hand, and brought it to his chest so he would not fumble it. Without another moment spared, he called out to the closest chaser and threw, hard. With Flora out, Slytherin's of winning were slimmer but there was no way he'd let them admit defeat before they'd even begun. Caught the quaffle and threw it to @cooper
Cooper let out a smirk when the quaffle went into the goalpost and he heard the commentators, speak about how Slytherin got a goal. And when he saw Sally Jordan reaction to his comment, the Slytherin let out a smirk. And let out a chuckle at her attempt to of trying to insult me and he gave her a smirk. "Well hate to break it to you princess, but this Slytherin princess just scored a goal." he said with a chuckle as he got back into the game. He wasn't the one who was trigger happy beating out his teammates.
The Slytherin knew if he was a beater, than it would be ten times worth. But his focus was on the game, and when he saw Gabriel Avery attempt a goal. He rolled his eyes, because he was not about to lose to the hero of the game even if he did a good thing. Cooper was competitive and he wasn't going to lose. His team already suffered enough loses.
A smile came across his face, when Raouf prevented Avery from scoring. And he when he passed the ball to him, the Slytherin caught it. And he flew down the pitch and was going to attempt another goal. Because he wanted to believe the team relied on him. So he flew down to the side, hoping to avoid getting hit by trigger-happy Sally Jordan. And without hesitation, the Slytherin threw the ball at the Hufflepuff goal.
Hoping he could get another shot for his team. But if not it wasn't the end of the world.
when there's nowhere else to run/is there room for one more son?

Slytherin had scored again, and Skylar gritted his teeth, redoubling his efforts to search for the Snitch. All he needed to do was find it before their Chasers could score thirteen more times, which seemed simple enough, but during his time as Hufflepuff's Seeker, he had learned that it wasn't always so easy. The Hufflepuffs were really such a young team too, with even a second-year making the team--though she seemed to be the best player on the pitch right now! Skylar knew that if they couldn't beat Slytherin, they'd stand no chance against all those seventh-years Gryffindor had. He needed to catch the Snitch.
He also needed to tune out the cheering that was coming from the Slytherins in the stands. Someone needed to do something inspiring to get the Hufflepuffs just as excited, because who enjoyed seeing a big fat zero on the scoreboard for their own team? Even the most loyal and hardworking house couldn't be inspired by that. Skylar zoomed off toward the sky, past Elena, and briefly thought about trying out a feint on her, but decided against it. Instead, he flew up and up, not even looking out for Bludgers, hoping his own team's spirited pair of Beaters could handle that for him. He couldn't tell if the air was really colder up here or if it was just because of how fast he was flying. Either way, he used his height to scan the whole width of the pitch below him, waiting for a little flash of gold to appear.
Gabe's call that she was always his hero made Sally break out into a great big grin because heck yeah she was! Then, with wide eyes, she watched Gabriel shoot off towards the goal post. Were they gonna score? But then the Slytherin keeper caught the quaffle and Sally swore beneath her breath. "Better luck next time, Gabe!" she called, before glaring daggers at the Slytherin chaser a moment later as he scored again. He was a good player but a Grade A douchecanoe. Leo better not be friends with this bloke, or he'd get a talking (okay, a yelling) to right in his ear.
When another bludger freed up a moment later, Sally debated hitting it straight at the douchecanoe chaser but decided it would be more beneficial to take the keeper out of his goal post again. So with all of her might, Sally smacked the bludger right at the keeper instead, watching with pride as it soared towards her target.
DIO GREYBACK has been hit by the bludger that was heading his way! The bludger hit him hard and DIO GREYBACK can decide whether he wants to play with his pretty severe injuries or wants to drop out.
Raouf cheered in triumph as another goal was scored for their team. Cooper and Raouf seemed to be working well together, however, he wasn't too happy with the rest of his teammates. Where were all their heads? Obviously off somewhere daydreaming! He sighed out a long breath before a scene of tragedy caught his attention- Dio being hit by a bludger. A surprised splutter left his lips as he tried to fathom that the Slytherin beater had missed and been hit. He opened his mouth, almost shocked at the abuse that came out of his mouth, "What the hell Greyback! You've got a bat, you're more protected than anyone else out here!!" He called out, shaking his head, trying to locate where the quaffle had gotten to.
He heard the sickening sound of the bludger flying through the air and his eyes wide. In his distraction, he'd missed the bludger heading towards him...how very ironic. He gripped his broom tight, swinging himself out of the way...but he wasn't quick enough. The hard metal ball smashed into his stomach, ripping the air out of his lungs and pain flood his chest. His momentum was the only thing that kept him spinning. He closed his eyes the moment he felt the nauseousness creep up into his throat, trying to take deep steady breaths. It was hard since all the air had been wrung out of his lungs, and he tried to still the movement of the broom. It hurt. Like a bitch. But he'd faced worse out on the fields. He couldn't leave his team stranded just because of some possible rib damage and windedness. He opened his eyes again, struggling to breathe through clenched teeth.
His eyes sought out Jordan, the one who'd hit the bludger at him for the second time before rising to search for the chaser with the quaffle. If his hands were shaking as they gripped the wood, he pretended not to notice as he clenched his jaw. "That's not enough to take me out." He muttered to anyone who could hear, and shakily repositioned himself. Any quick movements would hurt, but a Hufflepuff win would hurt more. Tags: SALLY JORDANDIO GREYBACK
They were scoring, this was good. Dio felt a rush of adrenaline due to the coming victory. He had to make sure his teammates were safe from harm and then they could make it. With that mindset, he completely forgot to protect himself. Because he was keeping a close eye on his team, he didn’t notice the bludger soring towards him. Not on time at least. BAAM. CRACK.
For a second Dio heard no sound and his vision was a bright light and black before he came to senses. It was all in a matter of seconds but how he managed to stay on his broom was a miracle. The pain followed. The first thing he noticed was blood streaming down his nose and out of his mouth like a waterfall. He spit a cluster of blood out when his mouth was noticeably full. But more than blood came out. Merlin’s underpants were that teeth?
A loud high pitched echoed through his head. The Slytherin beater felt dizzy and a little nauseous. But he was too prideful to move out of the game. Thus he glared at his teammate for the remark. “Iss’s cause ’m too damn busssy lookin after your ssssorry arsssesss,” he yelled. It might have looked cool if he wasn’t gushing blood out of his mouth with made him slur a lot. “pffuck,” he groaned, noticing his motoric skills were way off. How much longer would he be able to hang on.
Even though he didn't play himself. Oscar was very enthusiastic about quidditch. He listened to all the games of the top league on the wizarding wireless and had even seen a few games of his favourite team, the Caephilly Catapults, in the stadium. And he was no less enthusiastic about the Hogwarts quidditch league. Most often he was the one shouting the loudest, cheering the team on or cursing them, just like now. They had the slightest of leads, but if these idiots continued allowing Hufflepuff to beat them in a pulp, they might still lose. It seemed like the Hufflepuff beaters were quite good, or at least better than the Slytherin players and it frustrated Oscar to no end, because this was Hufflepuff! They had already taken out Flora Selwyn with a well aimed bludger and now they'd even hit the beather, Dio Greyback. It did look quite gruesome, the way the bludger had rearranged Dio's face with blood everywhere, but they could worry about that later. They first had to win the game!
"Man up, pansy arse, Greyback! Get rid of that girl!" he shouted at the top of his lungs "Did you forget where the goalposts are, Nashaat?! Stop flying like a drunk! My grandma can fly better than that!"
Cooper was getting frustrated by the other players, they took half their team out. And he had a feeling that if the next person got out they'd be screwed. The Slytherin had his hopes risen when he managed to get another goal, and he turned his head to see that their one beater was hit and Raouf had been hit. The Slytherin shook his head and said under his breath, "Goddammit, they should be taken out." he said hoping no one heard and he was happy when both didn't give up. Because he didn't want to be the only player.
He soon heard that the quaffle was free, and he turned in that direction to see. And he flew straight in that direction and snatched it before Avery could get it, they needed this there was no lie. Flying straight towards the Hufflepuff goals, he threw it once again. Hoping for another goal and that Jordan didn't throw the bludger his freaking way.
The snitch had been released! Seekers start hunting! You have until July 13th 12 pm gmt to hunt. The winning seeker will receive a pm on their account to catch! Good hunting![/b]
Darcy watched her teammates darting around the pitch, her gaze mostly locked onto the chasers for the time being. They had a new beater this year, a second year girl. Darcy was excited to see the girl play in an actual match, her own first match at the front of her mind. Hers hadn’t gone brilliantly. She remembered doing her job as good as she could, hitting bludgers away from her teammates but not always in the direction of the opposing team (nerves had her a little shaky) but then...the hospital wing. Her teammates told her she had flown in the way of another player’s bat and come off her broom. Hopefully Sally’s first game went better!
It looked like it was; she had great aim and wasn’t afraid to hit the bludger whenever the chance presented itself - that was the best feature for a beater if you asked Darcy. She felt confident in letting Sally handle most of the bludgers by herself so she could keep an eye on the seeker instead, hitting bludgers if they came in her direction but not actively seeking them.
As one bludger came zipping by her she seized the moment to get a good hit in. Cooper Narro was closest to her, and she saw him aiming for the goals. Darcy batted her bludger in his direction with all the power she could muster
