With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
“Oh dear, what am I going to do?” Evelyn had settled herself on a park bench just a little away from the hospital she just left. The take away coffee had gone cold. Her colleagues had confirmed that she indeed was pregnant. For 16 weeks already even. Evelyn could hardly progress it. Because there could be only one father and that man had been dead for more than three months.
She felt her belly; a small bump was getting noticeable. Should she get an abortion? It seemed hardly fair to the child to make it grow up in a situation like this. Eve still lived with her parents and there would be no father. What would she tell her family? Of course, they’d be supportive eventually, but they surely would be disappointed. Another lecture about being reckless and trusting people too easily would follow. But why was she hesitant? If the consequences were there, why hadn’t she decided to go with it. Something was making her want to keep the child but what?
The young healer had been so stuck in her thoughts that she hadn’t noticed someone had settled next to her. “Oh!” She blinked when she felt a shuffle. “G-good after noon,” she smiled friendly as ever.

Lunch break meant a coffee break and god did she need it today. A quick check up appointment with a patient who two weeks ago had burnt themselves when a potion splashed back on them had turned into an hour and a half long consultation when she had learnt he hadn’t been following his after care plan. Instead of the burn sites healing, they had started bubbling and sprouting (yes, sprouting!). When will patients learn to listen to their damn healers? Chastity had tried her best to keep her cool but in the end she had snapped and gotten into an argument with the patient instead. She needed the coffee now.
There was a small park by work that had a cart inside that sold reasonably okay coffee - an extra sachet of sugar usually masked the added bitterness that came with cheap coffee. She would usually spend her lunch break with sketchbook in hand drawing those who wandered around the park but she had been running late that morning and in her haste to get to work, she had left her satchel by her bed so instead Chastity glanced around the park.
There was a woman she recognised sitting on a bench - she was on of St Mungos fully trained healers on the serious bites ward. She had met her briefly when her traineeship began but she hadn’t had much to do with her since. Evie, Eva...something like that...no, Evelyn! That was it. Evelyn. She could see the older woman grasping at her stomach and looked clearly shocked. Unwanted or unplanned pregnancy, perhaps? She looked as though she needed either a distraction or assistance. Usually Chastity would simply ignore her and carry on her way but she knew it was a good idea to be at least somewhat friendly with colleagues - she never knew when she would need a favour and it was always easier if they didn’t hate you.
“Are you okay, Evelyn?” She took the empty spot on the bench next to her.
TAG @evelyn NOTES Chastity will try to be nice, or at least civil, to her colleague!
Evelyn was pulled from her thoughts when a familiar voice called her name. Automatically she sat more up straight, wanting to give a good example to the younger healer. She sniffed and put on a smile for her colleague. “Chastity, oh please do have a seat,” she said as she moved aside so the other woman could take her place. She never worked much with the trainee as they were on different departments. However she had seen the young healer during lunch breaks. For as far as those happened at the hospital.
“Oh, yes. I’m a tad bit unwell but I can assure you it is nothing that would affect my ability to work,” she assured the girl with a half truth. Honestly she didn’t know how to act at this point. Evelyn had always been open and honest but this whole situation had her panicked. What if that woman that killed Blake found out? She didn’t even dare to think of that. However she should probably tell her parents one day and ask for advice. They’ve always supported her.
“Did you run into some troublesome patients today?” She tried to move the subject to something lighter.
