With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
To say that the world was drowning would have been a colossal understatement. Gutters struggled to handle the downpour, a symphony of gurgles and choked gasps from metal slits filling the evening air. Rain fell down in sheets thicker than steel; Umbrellas teetered and barely stayed upright in the swarming monsoon, steady hands just managing to hold them straight. A clever few had deployed brief spells as their personal shields from the liquid bullets, sheets of water bouncing off of an invisible shield extended far above their head. An unfortunate bunch had huddled together, and made their way across the relative area with coats held side-by-side as a flock of penguins might have done in their arctic hellscape. It was a marvellous mess, a catastrophic turn of events for any and all who happened to be in the area when the clouds broke open over top them. There may have been beauty in the rain for one observer, and horror in the mess for another. True to the age old saying, it was all in the eye of the beholder.
The onslaught from above was enough to drench Raouf. His eyes were downcast as water dripped into his eyes from his hair, his shoulders weighed down with the wet robes that clung to his skin. Being caught in a downpour wasn't exactly something he was used too in Egypt. It hadn't occurred to him to use a spell as he'd calmly walked back to get inside. He hadn't made it so here he was, getting his shoes soaked in the gutters. He stepped through them to get to the castle doors, which were still open. His footsteps made wretched squelching as he finally got to dry ground. He was truly an awful sight to behold, soggy and annoyed. Words: 300 Tags: OLIVIA JONESMATHEUS DELGADO

Ollie was one of those girls who LOVED rain. She loved the smell of it especially in the early morning when it had rained all night. The girl had been actually watching the rain, it was peaceful in a way and she enjoyed the peace. Sometimes it reminded her to what she didn't always have and it was sad to think like that but the hufflepuff common room was rarely ever peaceful. The girl's hair was darker than her usual blonde locks, she liked it dark, Gabriel liked it dark. She had her glasses on as she was reading before and didn't bother taking them off.
Ollie clung onto the book she was reading and noticed a boy soaking wet coming into the castle. "Oh boy!" she said and slipped the book in her bag before heading over to the boy. She didn't know him but gosh could he use a hand! Ollie had her wand in her hand and smiled as she approached Raouf. She didn't even know his name but he seemed nice.
"Oh gosh you are like a drowned kitten!" she said and eyed him. "Do you want me to use a drying spell for your clothes?"

It was starting to rain, an onslaught of it sloshing against the outside of the castle and echoing inside, and immediately Matheus groaned. It meant he didn't have a chance to get outside and fly his broom, maybe practice some Quidditch, and he couldn't sneak into Hogsmeade either. He was stuck inside the castle with nobody to even have fun with considering all his bed mates over the past year had either taken a leave of abstinence or shackled themselves to a partner.
Shaking himself out of it for a second as he walked the halls, Matheus made a split second decision. He was charming and sexy, plus who wouldn't want a piece of this Brazilian Beefcake? He'd just have to chat up somebody knew, somebody who wasn't... well, sick of him, and as he saw the new Slytherin student running in from the rain, his mind was set. Even more so when he saw a Hufflepuff girl he used to share classes with, join the boy.
With a cocky grin on his face, Matheus sauntered over to both of them, drinking in their fine forms. Whilst Ollie (right, that was her name) proposed a drying spell, Matheus had a better idea. A much better idea. "What's wrong with the good ol' muggle way, Ollie?" he asked, feigning innocence for a moment before addressing the boy. "If you just strip down, we can all huddle together for warmth. I won't tell if you guys don't." Who would turn down such an offer like that? Only somebody out of their mind, that was for sure!
Raouf blinked up at the girl that rushed down to meet him, eyeing the wand suspiciously. He knew that it was the norm to use wands for everything, but he didn't particularly like that she was approaching him with it. His frown eased up a little as her words revealed her intentions. He didn't really appreciate being called a kitten, feeling that it was denoting that he was both small and cute- which seemed to strip any dignity away from him at this point. He gave a hum of contemplation, digging his wand out his soggy robes. He wasn't the most familiar with the spell but he wasn't sure he wanted a stranger to perform a spell on him. "Could you show me the spell?" He didn't think that one person could make him completely dry, so if she showed him, he could repeat it until done.
Before he could get a reply from the dark haired girl, a taller boy approached. Now, Raouf has used to seeing aggressive flirting in Egypt but never towards himself. "ما اللعنة!" He hissed out, shaking his head and taking a step back. He didn't know if the Gryffindor was purposefully propositioning himself to both of them but Raouf didn't like it one bit. "That is inappropriate and rude. You must not talk to either of us like that." He told the other boy. "This so called 'muggle way' is indecent!"

Ollie didn't know the boy but she never thought a nice gesture would be a bad thing. She did notice he was a little hesitant to accept her offer and she wasn't going to fight him on it. She was just here to help after all. The girl tucked a lock of curly dark hair behind her ear and nodded when he asked if she could show him. "Of course I can. It's just a simple hot air charm." she said with a chuckle and was about to show him when Matheus showed up asking what was wrong with the muggle way.
"I don't think we have dryers here Matheus!" she said and looked around a bit confused. "Do we?" she spun around for a second looking in any direction that could tell her otherwise but then he mentioned taking of clothes and her cheeks flushed red and her hair even darker.
"Oh well.." she didn't know how to say no thank you without being impolite. "I rather not. I mean not that you would look bad.." she mumbled but before she could make a bigger fool of herself Raouf saved her. Thank god! She watched the boys and frowned for a moment, maybe they both needed to learn the hot air charm?

"Dryers? Why, Ollie, is that your way of asking me if I'd like to take a tumble with you?" Matheus drawled out, his cocky grin easily transforming into something more loose and relaxed because flirting was his element. He was good at it, or so the notches of his bedpost said. "Your hair looks good today - or, should I say, for the minute. You're a metamorphagus, yeah?"
Then the boy exclaimed something in another language and Matheus' eyes light up because that was definitely not a language he was familiar with. Hot. "És jeitoso," he said, letting the words rush over the other two before addressing the boy individually with a wink, "you're not the only one talented in the foreign tongue... or just tongue, in general."
A moment later, he was being scolded for being inappropriate and Matheus wasn't one for making people uncomfortable once they told him to stop, but he couldn't help but tease the both of them briefly, "Afraid you'll get caught looking? Don't worry. I'm not afraid of an audience. You can both look all you like. I might even give a little show before we do our warm-up huddle."
Then he was done. He raised his hands up in an 'I surrender' gesture and admitted defeat with a chuckle, "That's all. I'm done. No more. I'll be on my best behaviour from now on... promise. If I'm bad, you can spank - I mean... you can give me detention, Ollie." Not that prefects had that power, and she wouldn't anyway especially as Matheus turned his puppy dog eyes on her, looking like the picture of innocence, something that contrasted his personality entirely.
