With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
When the sixth year Ravenclaw neater wished his second year beater well in the game, Gabriel became highly suspicious of Mavican’s motives. Sally was a bloody good beater and had lead to at least 1/3 of the Slytherin team ending up in the hospital wing. Like the little champ that she was - he wouldn’t be around to see her as a sixth year beater, which was a thought that flashed through his mind as he warned Mavican he’d be watching her with the universal hand gesture before they all took off in the air.
”YOUR JOB IS TO PROTECT OUR ARSE NOT TELL US TO MOVE IT,” Gabriel called back to Sally when she had the audacity to call him out on the pitch. Honestly, she was right and he was somehow a bit behind the eight-ball but Gabriel fully intended to make up for it as he zoomed past Skylar just after he got hit. ”You only need one arm to catch the snitch Skylar!” he yelled in encouragement, giving the kid a pump of his arm (another hand gesture) as he went past in support.
Gabriel got to the goals in time to see his fellow chaser Jonah miss capturing the perfectly thrown quaffle from their keeper and he swore aloud at the older boy’s incompetence. ”LETTING YOUR SISTER WIN TODAY?!” Gabe snarked as he went past the boy to intercept the pass between Wolfgang and Emil.
Had Gabriel been captain, he’d have brought in a substitute over Jonah. He was clearly throwing the game for Casey, just as Gabriel had told the captain he would. There was no way in Hell he’d throw the quaffle to the traitorous badger on this day. Merlin only knew he’d probably pass it straight back to the Ravenclaws.
As Emil threw the quaffle towards Wolfgang - clearly a much more insync team than the Puffs right now - Gabriel attempted to catch the ball midair. He paid no mind to the fact that a bludger was coming straight at him; the other team had scored once and attempted twice so he was not about to let them get the quaffle again. ”THAT’s how you catch a ball, Stevens!” the chaser said triumphantly once his hand had closed around the quaffle and tucked neatly at his side to change the direction of play.
Note: Gabe did not / does not have a problem with Jonah previous to the game other than the clear conflict of interest in this game and the apparent throwing of the game by missing the quaffle.
Sally didn't reach the bludger that was aimed at Skylar in time - which wasn't just her job, seriously, the other beater had to pick up the slack too - and she cringed as she saw it collide with his hand. That was not good, but at least it didn't seem to be broken otherwise he'd be howling in pain, no doubt. Zooming forward, Sally aimed yet another bludger at the Ravenclaw seeker.
Then it was time to swing back around, her eyes darting everywhere to see where this other damn ball had landed. It turned out right near Avery who she had half a damn mind to say 'protect your damn self' to but he was right. It was her job to rescue the other players from bludgers, and she wasn't about to let the team down.
Gaining traction on her broom, Sally zoomed straight towards Gabe before leaning forward to slam the bludger away from Gabriel and towards the Head Boy instead. "How's that for protecting your arse? Go do your job, Avery," she shot, before tacking on, "Shoot for the left. Keeper's favouring his right side today." With that, Sally zoomed away again, ready to whack away whatever bludger Mavican sent towards the Hufflepuff team next.
There was no way in hell Jonah would purposely throw a Qudditch game because his sister was on the other team, no. The Stevens siblings had told one another to play their best game and ignore the fact that they had blood playing on the other team. When the words had left Gabe's mouth, he wanted to slug his own teammate in the bloody face but for now, he wanted to focus on winning this game. He didn't care about the other teams seeker at the moment, to him he was seeing her as an enemy and not his sister.
The male followed his fellow chaser when the blonde little asshole grabbed the Quaffle, keeping his eyes on him.
He felt like the little shit wasn't going to pass the quaffle and be a team player so, he just kept his eyes on a look out for his teammate.
"Just go give us a goddamn point, Avery." he snapped back.

Avery was saved barely by Sally but she could see the tension and it wasn't healthy tension. If two players couldn't get along the game will go to hell. She looked at Wolfgang and Emil with a frown before hitting another bludger towards Gabriel. She flew close to one of her own chasers and frowned. "There is tension between their chasers, take that quaffle away!" she suggested before hitting another bludger at Skylar. With bludgers going into two different directions she really hoped Sally would miss one of them, their other beater sucked but then again, Mavican was doing all the work here too.

Goddamnit. It didn't matter if Wolfgang tried to not think of the throbbing pain in his fingers, the fact was that his fingers were hurt and holding a Quaffle was hard work. Throwing it in the intended direction? Even harder. He hissed in disappointment as the red ball plummeted downwards, and circled around to reposition himself. He saw Emil dashing for the ball, and heard his name ring out across the field, but the Hufflepuff chasers were quick to get on it.
Mavican was on top of her game, sending bludgers through the air, howling like wounded dogs. He didn't answer to her suggestions, only nodded and flew away.
Wolfgang positioned himself under the two chasers, ready to dash upward if they'd make a long pass.

As soon as Sally eyed the bludger rocketing towards Gabe, she let out a string of expletives beneath her breath once more before shooting forward to hit the ball towards the seeker once more. Bloody connect, she prayed quietly.
Then the next thing she knew, another bludger was flying straight at Skylar and once more, Sally moved forward, whacking it away from the redhead and towards the Ravenclaw keeper.

Gabe made a hand gesture as if he was going to throw the quaffle to his team traitor, the Stevens kid, but at the last moment he changed his aim. The quaffle cut through the air as it flew towards the frurthest ring from the Ravenclaw keeper. Gabe’s breath caught in his throat as he waited for the moment it would go through the hoop for hufflepuff’s first score of the day.
GABRIEL AVERY shot for the hoops and scored for Hufflepuff! The score is 10-10! A bludger is headed for CASEY STEVENS, she has until december 22nd 12.00 pm gmt to respond.
Ah the big game! Scorpius was excited as he stood in the stands surrounded by many students and his blue eyes tried to peek into the sky to see who was who. When the Hufflepuff chaser scored a lot of people around Scorpius cheered and Scorpius just clapped not really sure who to cheer for. Hufflepuff kicked his team's ass really and though Scorpius wasn't quite the competitive player he knew his father used to be a seeker. Maybe one day he would be too.. he wasn't too bad at it really.
The boy let out a small sigh and just clapped with a smile.
There was low grumbling when Hufflepuff managed to score and tie up the game, causing the seeker to look around the pitch once more for the little ball she needed to catch to bring this cup home. Unbeknownst to her, she didn't notice the bludger shooting right toward her and when she did notice, it had connected with her left knee, causing her to yell out and grab onto her now injured knee. Her other hand gripped onto the broom tighter as she tried to regain her senses and ignore the pain.
Shit..." she hissed and flew off to find a safe space in the sky, her eyes searching in the air for the snitch.

"Just watch the game, Ollie..." Parker said, bumping her friends shoulder. Of course Ollie was worried about the safety of the Quidditch players and of course Parker was a little worried about their team. Even if she thought the sport was overrated at times, she wanted Hufflepuff to win the cup and maybe half the student body would chill. It was madness around this time of year every goddamn year.
The female sighed as she eyed the Hufflepuff chasers and cocked her head to the side. "Looks like Gabe is having some words with Stevens. And...look..." she shook her head and chuckled when their team scored. "I don't think your boyfriend is a team player." she told her friend.

God-fucking-damnit.
It was a tie.
Wolfgang growled to himself, trying to express the frustration he felt caused both by the scoreboard and the state of his fingers. They needed to get ahead, they needed to make sure that the Cup was theirs. And since his throwing abilities were impaired right now, it wouldn't be by throwing hoops. The Ravenclaw chasers had to hog the Quaffle until their Seeker got the Snitch.
He caught the pass from the Ravenclaw keeper and shot up in the sky, above the rest of the players, trying to spot Emil & the third chaser. Once he had caught his teammate's attention, he signaled with his hand to start a back-and-forth passing movement. The Quaffle had to move across the field quicker that the Hufflepuff's could turn their heads.
Getting in position, Wolfgang threw the first pass at EMIL ZALEWSKI.

Stay calm Mavican, just stay calm. The girl thought to herself as she watched Hufflepuff score and Casey almost get hit off her broom. Damn what is their other beater doing, she would have benched him if she was the captain but no now she had to do ALL THE WORK by herself. The redhead let out a growl and hit a bludger towards Sally and one towards their seeker again. She wasn't going to give up and watched Wolfgang pass the quaffle to Emil.
"I got your backs!" she shouted and spun the bat in her hands. She was ready for it all coming at her.
