With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Boggarts... it was a lesson Aggy had been dreading ever since she returned at the start of her fourth year after... after it happened, and now the lesson was here. She could do this, right? She was a Gryffindor. She was brave and it had been long enough. She could transform him into something funny, right? She'd was good at magic and at concentrating. She was strong.
With that thought in mind, Aggy moved in front with her chin raised determinedly and her shoulders squared. She could do this. Except as the Boggart twisted and turned, suddenly he was there, standing in front of her and immediately her blood went cold. He... all she could see was that night, his revolting beer-flavoured breath washing over her face and his strong, too strong, hands yanking her around like a ragdoll. She wanted to do something, but it felt as though she was paralysed and beyond shaking, she couldn't move.
Why couldn't she move? She needed to do something. He was growing closer, a snarl on his lips, and he was going to... it was going to happen again, and she wouldn't be able stop it. She was too weak.
”Aw Prof c’mon that’s no fun,” Liam pouted as his teacher said that he would not get to learn either. ”Like isn’t one of them s’posed to keep peeps from enterin’ our minds and shizz?” he groaned a little as the teacher moved on with the class. He leaned in to Grey then, whispering, ”like it’d ‘elp wit the ladies, yeah? Less effort to get their knickers off, ya feel me?” he nudged his mate and held his hand up for a fist bump with a cheeky grin.
The moment boggarts were introduced though, Liam’s insides knotted up and he gulped. No, no… no! Already beads of sweat were beginning to form on his brow and he very reluctantly stepped up into what Roo imagines was a line forming. He was right behind Agnes and he was busy imagining what might frighten a leprechaun? A pot without any gold? Or was she an ironic leprechaun that feared rainbows perhaps? When it was her turn, Liam looked on with wonderment - it was neither things. But unlike the other kids, Aggy wasn’t moving… she wasn’t… trying to do the charm. Taking a HUGE gulp, Liam very quickly forced himself in front of the Gryffindor girl, between her and the dark, evil creature.
Quickly the boggart transformed once again into a werewolf. It took on the exact same form as that one he’d seen in the Daily Prophet those many years ago, snarling at the camera and trying to break free of it’s chains. FUNNY Liam c’mon! Liam’s grip on his wand was beginning to get slick from the sweat and he quickly yelled, ”riddiukulus!” instead of snapping and snarling at the class, the werewolf turned in and around itself and began chasing its own tail. Liam laughed as it fell over itself a couple of times and thankfully it was done. Liam wiped the sweat from his brows and turned to the Professor.
” ‘ey Proff, can I … can I just ‘ave a moment please? I need to get a drink but me legs are all wibble-wobbles… might need Aggy to lean on if I thazz a’ight?” he stumbled a bit and put his arm out for Agnes to ‘help’ him.
Yeah yeah whatever. He didn’t care for Hogwarts and it’s people. Wizarding folk with their hate, they all should be turned and join the greater cause. Look at them, hiding in their little castle. Pathetic. The boy rolled his eyes when he was given detention. “I’m afraid you’ll have to get in line. I’ve got a date with our lovely headmistress this after noon,” he told the Defense teacher with a smirk. McGonagall was probably going to give him a lecture on how she expected him to behave this year. Whatever. Dio didn’t feel like introducing himself but he didn’t want to write shit either. “Fine. I’m Dio Greyback, Slytherin, fifth year. I’m just here for my education. After school I’ll join my brother and win the war against you hypocrite humans. There? Happy?” He rose an eyebrow at the teacher more than anyone.
What a bloody sad excuse for a class. It was just a boggart, nothing big or scary. Things like that couldn’t actually harm you. A lot of kids were reluctant to step forward. Tsk… Cowards. The Slytherin ran hand through his blonde hair and got up with a groan. Popping a pink bubble with his gum, he approached the boggart. Let’s get this over with. "Move aside, shaky Gryffindor," he sneered as he pushed passed Agnes.
Dio had no fears, or so he claimed. So he was actually curious what it’d turn into. Probably a pile of homework, hah. His face visibly paled as a tall lean woman with tangly blonde hair appeared. “Dio, sweetheart.” The Slytherin’s jaw clenched. “Is this a bloody joke? I’m not afraid of my bloody, mum,” he sneered at the professor. The mother-boggart now took out a kitchen knife. “Come Dio, you’ve got training to do. What shall we do today, hmm?”
“I’m not gonna hex my fuckin ma, you twat. Screw this shit,” he grumbled, still confused on why the boggart showed his mother. He loved her. His dad never wanted to know of his existence but his mother had always been there molding him into the perfect warrior.

As Viola waltzed into Defense Against the Dark Arts, it was with a skip in her step because woo hoo! First day of class. This was bound to be exciting... so long as it wasn't just a theory lesson. Vi was pants at paying attention in those (and just in general) with her mind often drifting off into the clouds.
Just as Professor O'Connor had asked, Vi introduced herself with chirpy enthusiasm, a great big grin on her face as she did so. She didn't understand what was with all these grumpy dumpy wumps. What was the point of being angry when you could just be happy instead? She didn't get it. It just seemed like a waste of time!
Then it was time for the class to begin and... boggarts? Not exactly what she pictured for their first class, but there was really nothing she could do about it. When it was her turn after Angry Pants McGee who was swearing at Professor O'Connor, Vi's Boggart also transformed into her mum... both of them, actually, the Boggart flicked between the two women.
"Stupid little Viola," her mama said, lips twisted into a uncharacteristic smirk as she drew closer. Then the Boggart changed, this time transforming into her mum whose voice raised as she said, "You're don't deserve to be a Ravenclaw!"
Taking a breath and imagining something funny, Vi waved her wand and said, "Riddiukulus!" watching as her mama then her mum transformed into reversed mermaids with a fishy wishy top and a human body, giggling as she took a step back for the next student to take their turn.
Turning around, Vi looked to see how her peers were going only to see Olivia Jones sitting curled up on a chair. Frowning, Vi walked over to the girl and crouched in front of her. "I've got some chocolate in my bag if you want some? I know it doesn't really help but... well, I can give you a hug too?" She wasn't the best at comforting people, but she could definitely try.
And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain

Gemini watched people face their fears and she was getting so nervous. They were all older and their boggarts were scary. When she saw the wolf she slowly hid a bit behind her brother but then she felt like she was brave enough to have her own turn so she went for it.
The boggart turned into a giant snake and Gem let out a small scream. "Oh it's so big!" she squealed before shooting the spell her teacher told her to use.
The snake turned into a balloon animal. "Haha oh look at that!"
And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain

The boggart was scary as heck but Ollie didn't let that stop her. She wanted to just take in what she saw, a memory so old yet it always appeared in her nightmares. Her usual blonde hair had turned dark, raven black. Ollie wiped her eyes where tears were about to escape and then she noticed a girl in her class.
"Oh Viola.." she said softly, the girl was so sweet. Ollie gave her a smile and nodded kindly as she held her hand out for the chocolate. "Are you okay? Do you need a hug?" she offered wanting to return the favor, her boggart seemed scary too.

Apparently... Most of the class had mother issues. However, the one that made her blood run cold was... Agnes' boggart. The man and the way he looked at her made Rosa cringe as she scoffed at the creature. Hell, how messed up were all the kids at Hogwarts? Watching Liam pounce in front of the frozen redhead made Rosa quirk a brow. Normally, she was undeniably good at these things, but watching Aggy freeze up was... Uncomfortable. She stood back up, walking over to her just to make sure she was good. Or at least that had been the intention.
It was good him to help her out, garnering a smirk as he gave some bullshit excuse to leave. The prefect shrugged as he talked to the professor, figuring she could talk to Agnes when she wasn't "helping" Liam.
She watched, each person's fears being a bit lackluster. Mothers, snakes--The we're told, while interesting, had barely lasted long enough for her to get much of a look at given she was too screwed up over that guy Agnes' fears had cooked up. She watched, laughing a bit at Viola's transformation as she leaned against a desk.
Still as frozen as a statue at first, Aggy barely registered that Liam Jordan had pushed in front of her to face his own Boggart... and in a matter of seconds, he had disappeared. He was gone, and she could breathe again. Under any other circumstances, Aggy would have snarked that she didn't need some boy to be her hero, she wasn't some damsel in distress. But she was grateful.
Glancing up, Aggy's eyes widened as she noticed the creature that Liam was facing. A werewolf in chains, snarling. It made sense it'd be a fear of his and some of their other classmates. She was also pretty terrified of encountering a transformed werewolf during the full moon. They were vicious creatures, ones that would either bite you or tear you to shreds in a matter of minutes.
Suddenly, Liam's distinct voice broke through her whirlwind of thoughts and all Aggy could do was nod in agreement because she needed to escape this classroom and now. "Yeah, he's... he looks all wibble-woobles," Aggy muttered towards Professor O'Connor. Though the words sounded a bit stupid coming from her, she'd focus on that later.
At Professor O'Connor's nod and wave towards the door, Aggy grabbed Liam's shirt sleeve and pulled him out of the classroom. But as soon as they were outside, she dropped it immediately as though scorched. She didn't feel like touching a single person ever but especially not after what had happened.
ooc notes: Jack is also my character, hence me writing that he 'nodded.' I gave myself permission!

Boggarts were terrifying but she read all about them and she was prepared to face her own head on. Truth be told she didn't expect anything bad to really happen, there was a teacher who just saved another girl, bless her soul. She was hoping Agnes would be alright, even when she didn't know her well she was not a bad person.
When Rose let it be her turn she watched the giant tentacles slowly appear, the slimey things coming at her as if she was going to be the next big meal.
Rose used the spell her teacher told her to use and the octopus turned into a stuffed animal. "Oh so cute!" she laughed.

Felix was pissed beyond imagining. No it did not make him feel better that others had a fear of their parents, he could imagine his brother feared his father but not his fear was worse, his fear was himself becoming his father. Felix was NOT going to let this shit define him and the usually calm Gryffindor was really upset.
He needed his brother, he needed his sister, he needed to get the fuck out of here. He would walk out but then Rosalia touched him and it just cracked him.
"Don't touch me!" he hissed, venom in his voice and expression before storming out of the classroom, he needed fresh air and he refused to break down in front of so many others.
And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain

The blonde watched people go to face their boggarts and the class seemed to have really caused some bad things to happen. Cassidy thought hers wouldn't be so bad, how could it? she had a lot of fears so who knew this boggart would find the deepest fear in her heart.
Cassidy then froze when it turned into her uncle. His wand raised and he was dressed the way he was dressed many years ago. He didn't even look at her but all she saw was anger.
Cassidy backed up, almost bumping into her cousins but she managed to stop herself. "I'm sorry.. this thing is making a mistake." she then walked away in shame. This couldn't be real, this man who killed her father.
Not in front of Greyson, not again. "Professor this is wrong." she said and shook her head. "Excuse me." she then walked out as well. She couldn't do this.

She pursed her lips, not saying a damn word as Felix lashed out at her. What the hell? That was... Different. She'd meant it as a good job, but clearly, it hadn't been a triumphant experience for well... Anyone, save for a few of the students. She would've gone after him and asked him what the hell was wrong, but storming out wouldn't have helped. He was pissed. She sent back a bit of an annoyed expression out of reaction but left it alone.
She knew how she was when she snapped, and as much as she loved the attention that was hardly ever the time. Instead, she looked over at Greyson a moment but said nothing. She kept at her spot, electing to let the professor take care of the situation as it seemed one student after another wanted to storm off from the situation. Just great. She knew as a prefect, if he had wanted, he could send her after the students, but she just didn't see any good outcome from forcing them back.

Junaid had been a good student and introduced himself properly at the beginning of the class. Like in every other class, his bright grey eyes showed how grateful he was to be there. Hogwarts had been his new home ever since he was banished by his family and surroundings. He felt safe in this place and would work hard to earn back everything they gave to him.
As it was often warm in his country he didn't have much experience with boggarts. So he waited to let the other students go first so he could observe. The creature seemed to take form of people's biggest fears, leaving quite a devastating impact on some. Junaid felt sorry for his fellow students and wanted to help. But what could he do? By the time he made up his mind others had attended them.
He got up however, approaching his teacher. “I-I'm sorry, Professor. I don't want to be rude but please… help your students,” he bowed down with respect and returned to his seat.
At least it was the plan. Because when he turned around, the Hufflepuff found himself face to face with someone he thought he'd never see again. A stench filled the classroom. Yaman's once handsome face was covered in blood and bruised everywhere. His head was split open. Blood was dripping down the classroom floor from his many stab wounds. “Why did you leave me, Jun?” the corpse started speaking in a broken voice. “You were supposed to protect me. I trusted you. They hurt me in places you cannot even imagine. It's your fault. You left me to die!”
With huge eyes the Hufflepuff stared at his boggart, tears filling his eyes. The guilt he felt blocked his legs from moving. “I-I I'm sorry,” he eventually broke into tears. Even if he knew it wasn't real, the boggart knew to hit a spot he was trying to hide.

She had had just about enough of this damned boggart lesson when she saw the graphic state of Junaid's boggart. For fuck's sake, that was just about enough. The Italian girl began to rattle off in, of course, Italian about the displeasure of the lesson," Professor, while your intentions were to teach us how to defend ourselves, this is getting out of hand," The prefect insisted. This was a necessary lesson, but she didn't see any point in having more students take off out of the room, no doubt, in need of therapy. She'd already been yelled at once trying to stop her friend Felix from taking off, and now students were about petrified or bawling their eyes out.
She watched the professor, assuming he was capable of getting the situation under control, but was fully prepared to go get another professor if necessary. "This is a mess," The girl grumbled, picking up the tissue set at the desk and taking them over to June before going and sitting the hell down in her desk with her arms crossed over. She was pretty over class already... She wasn't exactly the fluffy, comforting sort to people she barely talked to, but damn. Even she wasn't so heartless to ignore it.
oggarts were a mess every year, this year was no different, but if these kids wanted to pass their OWLs and become successful witches and wizards then they needed to learn how to face them. It was in the curriculum and at the back of the classroom, Jack kept a watchful eye, wand drawn and ready by his side. He would step in if they needed help, but a lot of students were stronger than they thought they were. He wanted them to realise that because there were a lot worse things out there than memories.
When Jun's Boggart appeared, he paused for a moment, wanting to give the kid a chance to act first but when it appeared that the Hufflepuff prefect wasn't moving, Jack took quick action. Everyone's Boggarts were frightening to them, but that one was particularly gruesome. Jack stepped forward and with a flick of his wand, he banished the Boggart back into the cupboard. It would be something he'd visit in another lesson with those who hadn't face their Boggart yet. Those students still needed to learn, after all.
Then calmly after Rosalia's outburst, he addressed the class. "Now. I understand that this has been a stressful lesson for a lot of people. It always is. However, I will not tolerate any name calling, Dio, and I'll see you in detention after class." He would also be talking to Cassidy Mason and Felix Bianchi after class. "Everyone needs to remember that as frightening as they may be, Boggarts cannot physically harm you. They're a non-being. I guarantee you that if you do not face them now, they will find you unsuspectingly later. They like to hide and linger and it is better to learn how to defend yourself properly against them now than not know what to do altogether alone in the future."
Nodding towards the back of the room, the matron from the Hospital Wing appeared. It was standard after this type of lesson. "If you find that you were considerably affected by this lesson, the matron is there to talk with you and if they find fit, they may also give you a calming draught if needed."
notes: if you would like to RP your characters reaction, they can RP in front of one of the other students. You would just have to clarify that in your post.
