With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Almir was always excited to teach students about the wondrous animals and creatures of the world. For this class he’d brought his pet actually. Ebba was an absolute diva so Almir was sure she would have a good time with so many people gazing upon her grace. The ginger kneazle was purring as she walked upfront towards the laws, telling Almir to follow her. She was big, about the size of a labrador dog. Normal for kneazles but a shock for people who expected them to look like cats. Well she was cat sized for Almir still.
The class was set at noon because Almir couldn’t do morning classes well. In many ways he wasn’t the best fit for a Professor but he still stood here because he knew his shit about the class he taught. With a big smile the quarter giant welcomed the students. Ebba sat down next to him and glanced at the young humans judgmentally. “Hallå! Everyone. Please form a circle so you can all see. For those who don’t know me; I am Almir. Don’t call me stuff like sir because I will not respond to it,” he told the group, mostly aiming towards the third years. Almir had always done it this way since day 1. It gave a more relaxed and easy accessible atmosphere. Giving first names brought trust and he wanted to learn the students that trust was an important step if one were to work with magical creatures or creatures in general.
“Enough about me, I’m not that interesting. What will be interesting is our class for today. Or at least I can hope. Behold! She is beauty, she is grace and she will claw off your face. At least if she senses any distrust in you. Her name is Ebba can anyone tell me what she is?” He said as he stepped aside so Ebba could look more smug and powerful. The man's face radiated with pride and love towards the feline.

Animals in every single world were interesting to Ollie. She loved them all and she wanted to help them as much as she wanted to help people so she followed these classes to know more about them as much as she wanted to know more about helping people.
Ollie listened to the very large professor and smiled brightly as he announced the creature. She rose her hand and looked at the beautiful feline.
"A kneazle!" she said with a smile. "She is gorgeous!"
ruth be told, Greyson didn't even like magical creatures all that much, and they didn't tend to like him back much either. The only reason he'd even picked up this stupid bloody class in the first place was because the options other than flying were even worse. Who the hell wanted to learn how to read bloody tea leaves in Divination? Not him. Screw that.
With his arms folded across his chest, Greyson begrudgingly took a step forward to join the circle Almir had formed... out of all the Professors in Hogwarts, the bloke was probably the one he liked the best because he didn't believe in that bullshit 'Professor' and 'student' crap, the ones Professors liked to use because it made them feel powerful. As if what they did was even that important. Dickheads.
As the one of the Hufflepuff girls answered Almir's questions, Greyson just barely held back a sneer. The only reason he didn't spit some nasty comment at her was because he knew that she was the one Gabriel fancied for some Merlin forsaken reason, and his brother desperately needed to get some. Hopefully when the 'puff gave it up and they got to bed, she'd do Gabe the favour of removing that stick shoved up his arse. Maybe then his brother wouldn't be so uptight.

Animals were amazing and Gemini sometimes wondered if she was going to do something with animals but until then she was going to follow the classes, in this slightly cold weather. She was hugging her cloak as she stood there and the professor being the size of a mountain showed them a kneazle.
"Can we really not pet her?" she asked with a small pout and looked at the cat. "Doesn't she like kids sir?"
Suzie was delighted to be heading to Care of Magical Creatures, her absolute favorite class. While she couldn't recall all the facts about the beings off the top of her head she loved getting to meet all of the magical creatures, fondly recalling each animal to her parents over summer. Mr. and Mrs. Jones appreciated their daughters enthusiasm but were more worried about her grades - to which Suzie had slumped down in her chair and pouted.
But having class today was enough distraction for her as she skipped to class. Her sister and a few others were already there when she got there though she only waved to her sister. Suzie looked at the Kneazle and kind of smiled, kneazles were interesting creatures she found. She wondered what sort of personality this one had.

Cassidy had seen many creatures in her life, some were more charming to look at than others but she never saw a cat quite like this one. Then again it wasn't really a cat was it? Cats were so different, like Spot her own cat who was just a fat little buddy. The girl eyed the professor who was huge and made her stretch her neck ever so slightly.
"Is she yours?" she asked the professor and then looked at the cat.

Clarissa loved animals but she sometimes feared them. Not because they were big and scary but because they were different from regular animals like horses, dogs, cats or even lions. Though the cat he showed looked more like a toy from a distance rather than a real feline. She was gazing at it, almost staring as she listened to the professor and others asking questions.
Mariah liked animals and learn about them. Even some of these creatures what they learned in CoMC could be scary and so on but she didn't care much about it. But when she arrived todays class she saw there one cute animal what she had seen before for sure in the shop. She wanted to pet it but she knew it won't be really very safe thing to do.
The girl sat down on the circle next to other kids and looked at the kneazle and smiled. She heard some other kid reply what kind of animal it was. She didn't really have any questions her own so she waited there until they can continue with the class. She was so holding back from not petting it.
She didn't yet have pet her own but now this made her get one perhaps.
Damien was excited for Care for Magical Creatures, the class was one of his favorites. He had such a soft spot for magical creatures it wasn't funny. He stood with the rest of his classmates, and watched as Professor Askeland had showed them a kneazle, and how they were told not to touch it. Even if he thought the kneazle was pretty, and he watched in awe. He listened to the rest of his classmates, ask their questions. And he had asked a question.
"Don't Kneazles, also interbreed with normal domesticated cats?" he asked. Because he they were very similar, which made it very possible. But it didn't hurt to be sure, plus he liked to participate in class, because it was a good way to get house points for Hufflepuff.
Mark did not mind Care of Magical Creature at all. In fact, he liked how different this class usually was from the ones held indoors. The boy stood in the crowd, but among those students who had not stepped forward to take a better view of the Kneazle. He had his arms cross as he concluded that he could see the creature perfectly fine from where he was standing, thank you very much! Mark did not fancy taking a step closer to the wizardry world’s version of a normal cat. What could it possibly do that was interesting? Was it even magical?
He stood behind Damien Cartwright from Hufflepuff and almost stared a hole into the kids’ curly haired head. Mark found it utterly disgusting that the two species could interbreed, nevertheless, he had to give the other right. He too has heard of that rumour. He did not say anything to the kid up front – what should he really say? Although he did make a small snort at his question as a smirk formed on his face as he rolled his eyes. This could probably be heard by Damien.

Almir smiled like a proud mother when the students looked at Ebba. He adored all of his children and like all parents, like showing them off. “Damn right, Ollie. This beautiful lady is a kneazle. As you can see she is larger than a regular house cat. She also has a longer life spawn. On average a kneazle reaches 35.” Meanwhile the orange lady sat down at Almir’s feet, demanding attention from him while giving all the students a judgemental stare. That was something she had in common with her non magical counterparts.
He chuckled when a Hufflepuff asked if maybe she could pet Ebba after all. “Well, kneazles are mostly used for guarding. Often households but sometimes they guard magic items. They have detect untrustworthy people. And when they notice them getting too close… I can tell you she is more effective than a guarding dog. Yes she is mine well, she is ours. We adopted her when we moved to Scotland from an old lady who couldn’t take care of her anymore. Ebba lives with Runa and me in little Asgard which is the tiny wooden place at the edge of the forest. She does a very good job at keeping us safe.” Many would argue only a fool would try to break into an herbalist and part giant’s house but you’d be surprised. He nodded towards a Hufflepuff boy. “Yes Damien, it has occurred several times that kneazles and cats have babies. In some countries kneazles aren’t legal pets so they breed them with cats to loophole their way into having one.” Almir kept a close watch on Ebba, making sure she was comfortable with the attention she was receiving.
“Some of you might say she doesn’t really seem much of a deal aside from being an overgrown cat with large ears and a lion tail. But they have something more to offer. Can anyone guess what?”

G
reyson, despite his overall apathy towards magical creatures, wasn't a complete dummy. He grew up in the magical world, of course he was going to know some crap about them. He didn't raise his hand as he answered Almir's question though, instead saying loudly, "Kneazles are smart little fuc - uh, things, and they can protect your home and shit from intruders."
Hey, he was somewhat behaving, right? Perks of being taught by a professor he somewhat tolerated. He wasn't in his usual destructive mood, about to mess things up today. That's why he blessed Almir by dropping a smaller curse word instead of the great big 'f' bomb pretty much all the high and mighty Profs sent you to detention for.
