With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

HISTORY
Marshall was born and raised in Louisiana. His childhood, needless to say, wasn't a happy one. His dad abandoned their family when Marshall's mom was bitten by a werewolf. After that, his mom dipped into a deep depression and, when Marshall was about ten, bit Marshall so that she wouldn't be 'alone'. Not long after this, Mashall's grandfather took his daughter to court and won custody over his grandson. It wasn't long after that that Marshall's mother killed herself.
Under the care of his grandfather, Marshall learned just about everything he needed to know about homesteading and ranching both magical and mundane animals and, despite having prospects to become an auror after he'd finished school, Marshall went back to work with his grandfather.
Marshall didn't move from America until after his grandfather made the choice to sell the ranch in Louisiana and buy a new farm in Ireland to breed and raise horses, both of the ordinary and winged variety. Marshall went with his grandfather and worked the ranch up until his grandfather died in late 2018, leaving the farm and his other effects to Marshall, his last of kin. Now, Marshall is working to get a handle over being the ranch's new owner and navigating life with the locals.
Everything hurt. It wasn't that long ago that Freya had a very different definition of pain. She knew it could have been a lot worse. She knew many werewolves couldn't afford wolfsbane potion so she was lucky if you could call being an over-glorified whore and pickpocket lucky. She hadn't seen her parents since she'd been turned, or any of her friends either. She'd been completely alone. It was probably better that way. She knew there were probably ways that she could meet other werewolves, but did she even want to meet any others? Being bitten had ruined her entire life. She should have been an archeologist or a curse breaker by now, or at least in training.
Her home was little more than a hovel near the edge of the woods, filled with pretty clothes and jewelry. She probably could have afforded something better, but she liked being near the woods. She also felt like garbage most of the time so it was fitting she should live somewhere that reflected that.
She made a quick breakfast, knowing that after her transformation, she needed to recover her strength, but despite this, she was restless. She wanted to scream and break things, but when she looked around at her lodgings for something to destroy, she found nothing worth ruining. Instead, she put on her running clothes, put her hair up into a bun, and ran into the forest. Freya's mother had been an Olympic gymnast once upon a time, so she had grown up taking tumbling lessons and going on runs. It helped clear her head as well.
She knew most of the trails around her house, but when she came across a new one, she decided to take it, venturing into the unknown. Not that Freya was concerned about that. She'd gotten lost in the woods many times, but always managed to find her way back home. She was about six and a half kilometers from home when a root protruding from the trail caught her foot. She crashed hard into the ground, accumulating scrapes on her arms and knees and twisting her ankle. Breathing through the pain, she pulled herself onto the edge of the trail against a tree to assess the damage and cursing herself for leaving her wand at home, something she did so that she'd be forced to complete her run. Luckily, her ankle wasn't broken, but getting back was going to be a pain. She tried to stand and promptly sat back down, knowing she needed to rest her ankle before doing anything else. When she started crying, it wasn't because of her ankle, but an accumulation of everything that had gone so wrong and the underlying thought that maybe she deserved it. With her face buried in her hands, she didn't even notice that she wasn't alone anymore.
