With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

The answer was that Kiernan thrived when faced with a challenge, and Teresa was suitably impressed. If she wound up taking him home, she probably wouldn't even rob him in the end. "I'll handle whatever you give me, tough guy, and more," she shot back, before deciding fuck it. Standing up on her chair, Teresa took one swift step onto the table that separated them - ignoring the righteous shout of 'hey, get the hell of the table, T' that came from the server Zeke - before she dropped herself straight into Kiernan's lap, effectively straddling him with a small quirk of her lips. "Guess you're not the only tough person in the room, now are you?"
Now that she was precisely two inches from his face, their conversation was much more interesting because she wondered just how long it would take until his lips were descending upon hers. She'd just have to see. "If you want to pinky swear me, you can, but just know that if you cross me later... I won't hesitate to break it," she said, before dangling her pinky right in front of him.
"Oh, yes, since I asked because you brought it up in the first place..." Teresa teased, although it wasn't long before she fell quiet and started to listen to the story that Kiernan told her. It turned out despite all their wealth, the Stevens family was rather... disjointed, and all over the place. Mostly thanks to the head of the family, apparently. "So you're not talking to your Ministry official brother because... what? Because you nearly punched your dad? If he was such a douchebag to your sister, then surely the Ministry Stevens would be in favour of hitting him too, right?"
As Kiernan delved into the dirty details of how he'd failed his traineeship with that sad gleam in his eyes, Teresa was silent once more. Something like that, having a life on your conscience, screwed someone up. She would know - every single day, she thought about ways she could have stopped that werewolf... the one who had turned her... from killing her fellow group members in front of her. Maybe if she'd stepped in front of them and sacrificed herself instead of crawling into that empty classroom to save herself... then they'd still be here. Clearing her throat, Teresa shook her head. "That's not all your fault though - you're meant to have somebody overseeing you, aren't you? If they didn't supervise you problem, then it's not all on you. You should go and try again some day."
"I have more important things to care about than whether you're famous or not," Teresa said with a short shrug. Like when her next meal would be, or whether she'd ever earn back the right to actually work for a living. When Kiernan brought up the fact that she, herself, was a mystery, the sides of Teresa's mouth twitched. So she was.
"Maybe one day I'll study again, but I will never work for the Ministry." Moments later, Teresa found herself tensing up as soon as Kiernan brought up werewolves. She hadn't said that was the reason why she hadn't completed her OWLs and very carefully, she studied his face for any signs of hatred. If he found out what she was... was he going to throw her off his lap? Spit in her face, call her an abomination? It... turned out the answer was no, and Teresa's shoulders loosened as he proclaimed that he couldn't hate people for being themselves. One glance at his face told her that he was telling the truth, and maybe she was making the biggest mistake of her life, but she trusted him.
Shifting forward on Kiernan's lap so she was even closer to him, her chest grazing his front lightly, Teresa's lips were soon only centimetres away from Kiernan's ear as she lowered her voice to whisper, "The T is for Teresa."
There he was, telling this mystery girl all about himself and yet he knew little about her and it did make him a bit sad but then he did understand that she might be afraid to open up. Kiernan didn't care about opening up because he was quite sure if she was a mere stranger by the end of the night, neither would she. Kiernan was quite certain about it and not much could change his mind on that either. The young male wanted very much to help her and do what he could but she had to be able to trust him and he wouldn't expect her to do so right off the bat.
Kiernan though couldn't help but smile as she moved to sit on his lap. If anyone had a problem with that, he would simply knock em out so they couldn't look their way. Kiernan was a gentleman like that. The male turned his attention to her, her eyes, her lips so close to his it was driving him nuts ever so slightly. Still, he was very interested in what she had to say, what she thought about saying to him. What was going on inside her mind? what was she thinking?
Wouldn't be a mindreader right now be a great thing? He wanted to unravel the mystery that she is but he couldn't, only she could. "Oh really, and more huh? I can't wait.." he told her in a hushed tone, he could feel her breath against his own lips. "Well it's not fun if I am the only tough one now is it?" he returned with a grin still on his face. Oh yes the smug grin that seemed to draw her in was right there. "Well no, I don't need a lecture of my older brother about my temper when it comes to my father now do I?" he asked her.
She seemed quite interested for some reason and it just made Kiernan open up more which was odd but not a bad feeling. Not many people wanted to know things about him other than if he has abs, which he does. "Mmmm maybe." he didn't like talking about the incident, it was his fault and he would blame himself for it forever. She couldn't change his mind on it. Kiernan hummed, taking in her scent and just felt indulged by her presence.
"You should do what you love, besides the ministry is quite dull isn't it?" he replied and though he noticed her tense up a bit, she relaxed quite soon and he was afraid his opinion was something she didn't like but instead she came closer. Alright they might have to leave sooner rather than later because something was becoming quite happy to see her and it wasn't just his shiny personality. Kiernan listened to her saying her name in a whisper and he actually thought it fit her perfectly.
"Pleasure to meet you.." he returned before leaning in to kiss her. Yeah screw self control. He didn't really have that.

Was straddling a near-stranger in the middle of a run-down bar bordering on being indecent? That was a big fat yes, but as long as Kiernan kept smiling at her like that, she didn't care. He was so different than the people she usually went to bed with - he hadn't been shamelessly ogling her from the moment they met, for one, and secondly, he'd actually invested time and effort into talking to her without the promise of sex beforehand. It was different than what she'd become accustomed to, and so this whole... encounter felt like it was pleasure rather than for her usual business. "Don't expect me to fangirl at you afterwards, will you?" she said, her eyes darkening at the 'I can't wait' he all but whispered at her, his voice low and alluring. Neither could she.
Even though they had been talking quite avidly before, it seemed within an instance that all of their small conversations had drawn to a halt in favour of focusing on one another instead. Something she definitely wasn't opposed to, especially as Kiernan murmured the words 'pleasure to meet you' before leaning in for a kiss. The moment his lips brushed against hers, it was like a switch had been flicked, and Teresa's fingers flew up to grip his hair as she returned the kiss eagerly, licking and biting her way into his mouth.
When she finally drew back, Teresa let herself just breathe for a few seconds before her lips were at his ear once more, hot breath tickling his lobe as she suggested lowly, "Unless you want me to jump you in this bar of all places, I suggest you apparate us to yours. Right now."
There was something about this girl that Kiernan really wanted to explore. She was mysterious, rough but also had this fire in her eyes that he admired more than anything. She seemed so distant before and now she was so close to him it drove him crazy in a good way. Kiernan's mind went into many directions but there was no other point to focus on than her lips against his, her teeth biting him and his arms around her. She was different from so many girls he met. She was strong and had this personality that backed up her strength.
Kiernan never intended to sleep with her when he met her not long ago. If anything he wanted to be a friend for her because she seemed like she could use one, if anything he wanted to help her because she needed his help with her hand. A smirk played on his lips when she asked if he expected her to fangirl afterwards and he couldn't do much more than give her a smug smile because yes he did expect it but no he wasn't going to say that out loud.
This bar had become a place he didn't want to be any longer and since he already paid for everything he just held onto her a bit tighter, apparating with someone was always risky after all. He leaned in closer to her, his voice showing signs of hunger, he really could not wait much longer. "Hold on tight." his voice raw and his smirk ever so present before apparating out of that bar. After all this was going to be much more pleasant in his bed rather than on a bar chair.
