With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Clary was looking forward to the holidays. Sure the dance ended pretty bad but Christmas always made things better. She was staying at Hogwarts even when her parents seemed to regret letting her, they didn't want to force her to come home. She was staying with the others, they were going to have one big family day at the castle playing games. But before that happened she had to say goodybe to some friends and spend time with them before they go.
Clary had a small box in her hands, it was for Viola. A small present because she adored her friend to bits and pieces. With a grin on her face she approached her friend and held out the box. "Happy early Christmas Vi!" She said with a grin on her face and bounced up and down a bit, her curly hair bouncing along with her. The girl's big blue eyes looked at her friend hoping very much that she'd like the gift.
"I made you a gift with my big sister! I hope you like it! How are you? Are you doing okay?"

Sitting in the courtyard, all rugged up in her big woolly jumper courtesy of her mums from last Christmas actually, Vi balanced her guitar between her legs and her hands, strumming the strings gently. She wasn't singing, but more so playing around, trying to find a new combination of chords that sounded like they flowed nicely together and that would one day would hopefully work for a song she'd write.
Glancing up mid-strum, Vi's eyes landed on the little blossom of joy also know as Clary, and she broke out into a great big smile because gosh, she was just fantabulous. Vi adored her to bits and pieces! Who wouldn't? Taking the box presented to her, Vi's eyes light up. "Are you the sweetest little love muffin?" she sing-songed, before ruffling inside of her bag and producing her own wrapped gift, a painting she'd done of Clary earlier in the year - except it wasn't just a regular old painting, it was one where Clary's blue hair led into a mountain with a river rushing through it. "You can open it now if you want! Did you want me to leave mine a super duper surprise on Christmas day? I'm sure I'm going to love it!"
When Clary asked the question of whether she was doing okay, Vi faulted for a moment before slowly nodding. "Yeah, it's... I guess so. I'm just mostly kinda a worry wart about Ed these days, you know? Since... since he got trampled and all. He's probably all sick of me by now... how are you?"

All Clary's friends were special to her. She would make them all gifts and see the looks on their faces when she gave them their presents. Maybe one day she and Viola could make music together but for now she just wanted to see the look on Viola's face when she opens her gift. Clary wasn't patient enough to wait for her own so she wouldn't make people wait for theirs either. "I dare you to make a song out of that. Call it love muffin." she teased and grinned.
Clary squealed happily when she was given a present as well and looked at it. "Oh my gosh! Vivi! You are the sweetest cinnamon roll!" she said and opened the present, she didn't have to tell Clary twice. "Yes you can open yours now too! No one likes to wait for their presents do they?" she said and spun around on her heels before looking at the painting. Her hair slowly turning in that shade of blue as she did so.
"Vivi it's gorgeous!! Look at that! My hair looks so pretty!" she said and reached out to hug her friend, giving her a smooch on the cheek as she did so. "Oh your brother? Is he still hurt? He is so tiny like me!" she said and bit her lip for a moment. "I don't think he is sick of you! He loves you I am sure of it!" she nodded and sat down next to her. "What are you playing? A new song?"

"Maybe one day in five years when we're super duper old you'll hear me singing Love Muffin. I might even dedicate it to you if you're lucky," Vi teased, prodding her friend in the side playfully. She could just see it now, being on stage of The Leaky Cauldron, singing her wee little heart out and strumming on her guitar. It was the dream... or maybe being having her own gallery show was the dream. Vi hadn't quite decided yet but people could totally have more than one dream, right?
A cinnamon roll. The compliment had Vi absolutely beaming, and she excitedly tore of the paper to reveal an absolutely fab looking leather braided bracelet. Immediately, Vi's eyes light up once more and handed the bracelet to Clary with a giggle, waving her wrist. "You do the honours? This is stunning. Did you make it? You're such a clever clogs!" she gushed, admiring Clary's hair in the process. She loved it when it was blue, it was gorgeous. It made Vi's heart yearn for her friend to be in the same house at times because how fun would sleepovers be?
Clary's endless round of compliments had Vi's cheeks hurting with how much she was smiling, and she leaned into the kiss the Gryffindor girl bestowed upon her. "I'm so glad you like it! Your hair looks pretty because it is in real life, silly billy!" The subject of Edmund had her smile fading however, just a touch. "He's getting better. Thank goodness for magic, I guess? I think if it'd have happened in the muggle world... he'd still be in the hospital wing."
A rather awful image of Edmund laying in a stark white hospital bed, skin as pale as a ghost, popped up in Vi's head and so she was grateful for Clary's change of subject. She shrugged, shaking her head. "I wasn't playing any real song, just playing about! So... you going home for the holidays?"

Viola made Clary feel a lot better and not worry about what sad things happened to her. She lost her boyfriend, she lost her sad cookies to a thief, it was a sad day before Viola showed up. Viola was a ball of cuteness and Clary always felt happy around her. That's what bestest friends were for! Be happy around each other and have fun together. She watched Viola open the present and laughed a bit. "I made it in your favorite colors with special leather dye. It's really fun to make." she said and put the bracelet around Viola's wrist.
"My big sister taught me, she is really good with leather and making jewelry. I think she is making them for the entire school one day." Clary chuckled and gasped. "If you do dedicate a song to me it should have blue in it, for the hair!" she said and played with a curly lock of blue hair. "Boy I would have brought my guitar! We could play together." she told Vi with a small pout. "Well because you like it so much I'll keep it blue around you, just for you!" she said with a grin.
"This was in class right? So that was what you were doing!" Clary had realized the subject of little Eddie wasn't fun for Viola so she left it. She didn't want her friend to be sad. "I am not actually, father wanted me to come home but mother said she couldn't work on the house with all the kiddies about so some of us stayed and some of us are going home to help with the new kitchen." Clary shrugged. Christmas was going to suck with her being a lonely kitten. "How about you? Are you going home? I might spend it in my pajamas."

"Such a clever lil' sausage you are!" Vi informed her friend with a grin, inspecting the bracelet once Clary had fastened it around her wrist... and the colours. By Merlin, the different shades of blue were just stunning! Vi would definitely have to do some colour matching in the future. One of the lighter shades would make a particularly wonderful addition to the oceans she loved to paint. "You shopped for the rest of our pals - I'd say gal pals 'cause, y'know, it rhymes and all but gosh, we have so many boy friends - not boyfriends, just friends who are boys - and I'd hate for them to feel left out, y'know?"
Clary's big sister sounded amazing, though she had so many siblings... Vi really wasn't sure which one she was talking about. "Erm, which one? Is that the 'puffy 'puff? The one that got all smooshed at the ball? Which... oh! Which, by the by, is awful. Is she doing alright now? Did they fix her arm all up with Skelegro?" As a little tyke, Vi had broken her own arm by falling out of a tree quite spectacularly and her muggle mum had watched as her wizarding mum had fixed her up with amazement. "Oh no, well, next time! We'll have a little play around together." When Clary informed her she'd keep the blue just for her, Vi grinned, reaching out to twirl a strand of her friend's hair. "How lucky am I then? Getting to see you and your pretty blue hair everyday. I'm the luckiest."
"Ah, split straight down the middle then! At least there's so many of you that you won't be lonely," Vi said, beaming at the thought. Perks of having a big family, she supposed, but she was just happy with it being her and her two little brothers. "Yep, going straight on home. I can't wait to see my mums, I've missed them a super duper lot."
