With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Archie could never stay at school during the term breaks as much as he would love to just lounge around with friends and enjoy the free time roaming the castle. Term breaks, including Christmas break, meant therapy sessions for the red haired fourteen year old. He didn’t mind them because they did help a little but he knew they would help more if he could have them more frequently but being at Hogwarts made that a bit difficult. Throughout the rest of the school year all his therapy was done through letters or the occasional two way mirror but it didn’t have quite the same effect as face to face, in the same room type of therapy chat. He found when talking to his therapist face to face they could easily divert off track and just...chat about anything. Archie liked that. It was more difficult to do that in a letter.
The sessions usually revolved around the home invasion when he was nine and his terrible sleeping habits thanks to his insomnia but this session had also included a lot of talk about the attack he had been involved in at the Winter Ball. He was having major issues processing the event and the same questions just kept swimming around his head. Why had someone attacked a kids’ school dance? What had they been after? Had they gotten what they had been after? Would it happen again? Had they all even been caught? Would they ever get the answers they deserved? He was just glad that Ainsley had been cooped up unwell in the Gryffindor Tower when the attack had happened; he had been able to focus on keeping himself and Viola safe.
It was a crisp day with snow all around and the air was sharp with the threat of more snow. As he wandered the streets of Edinburgh to clear his mind after his session he thought that may be should take this chance to do the CHristmas shopping he had been putting off. His ma was easy and she was just happy with some fancy chocolate and a new book, his pa would take a new tie and cufflinks...but Ainsley he was stuck on.
“What do you get a 12 year old girl…?” He wondered out loud as he gazed into the window of a store with a magnificent display of fairy lights, Christmas trees, toy trains and stuffed toys. Once upon a time Ainsley would have loved a new stuffed pony at Christmas but he figured that didn’t cover it these days.
Rebecca was walking around Britian also trying to get some Christmas shopping done. She had gone home for the holiday like the rest of the students. She was rather conflicted about going home after witnessing some of her friends get hurt in the attack at the Winter Ball. A part of her was wondering if she should've stayed at Hogwarts to make sure Sam was going to be alright. Becca couldn't believe the dance had been attacked. It made no sense to her at all.
The sixteen year old prefect tried her best to ensure that the students that needed help got to the hospital wing. Sighing to herself Rebecca stopped walking when she saw another student from school that looked like he was doing some shopping. He was a Ravenclaw if she remembered correctly. They hadn't met before but Rebecca still made sure to try and memorize who the students in each house were, even if she wasn't his prefect. Hearing his question about what to get a 12 year old Rebecca walked over to the boy. "Depends on who it's for. Do you know what the 12 year old likes? What her interests are?"
