With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Lyra's life seemed that it was just a never ending spiral with the way it was going, because when she tried to turn her life around. Something else came into her life and fucked things up. And that something was Toby who put her entire life on hold. Now when she finally had been getting stable for Cole. he comes right back in. Not to mention, comes in with another girl at her own workplace. Best part her little brother is the first to encounter him and Cooper had to punch him in the face. And as much as Cooper hate Toby and wanted to be get justice that Lyra refused to get for Toby, he was not the person to get involved with. Because it would end up getting back to the school about this and her brother would be at risk of losing his prefect badge.
Everything was just so much for Lyra, and for a moment she thought that for the sake of Cole that maybe she could get sober. A promise she even made her parents that she was going to get sober and try not to let Cole know about his mum's indiscretions. She'd never even consider going anywhere near Cole with any trace of alcohol on her. And yet she felt like the worst person in the world, for not considering herself full on with caring about her little brother's disappearance. In which Cooper had been responsible for due to how irresponsible the male could be. And she even wondered how the hell he was a prefect. Then again aside from his irresponsible tenancies, he had gotten good grades and had the appearance of being a good role-model.
This was all too much for the nineteen year old, who seemed that when she was drunk or going to parties. Life seemed so much easier, and with the chance she got, here she was sitting at a bar in The Leaky Cauldron and ready to screw around some random guy. Her life was not supposed to be like this, right now she should have been home sleeping to get ready for a huge Quidditch match. And leading her team to victory, not working on as a bartender at an dodgy pub and picking up modeling gigs whenever she had the chance. Even if she didn't regret Cole in the slightest, but she wondered if he would be better off if she choose the option of giving him a better life. Lyra shook her head, what mother even thinks about how adoption could have been better for her son. With all these thoughts, the witch sat at bar with a glass of vodka in her hands, and an ordered placed for a round of tequila. She already drank four shots of tequila and this was her third glass of vodka.
She knew if her sister knew about this she would kill her, but Lyra needed to do something to forget about Toby. The witch had already bought her room for the night and had the plan of going there after she drank. And maybe stay a little longer the next day, until the hungover had reached a reasonable level, and she had Cole staying with her parents. And how her parents warned her that whatever she had planned wouldn't get her in any trouble and that she didn't need to get way drunk. Lyra took a few sips of her vodka, and looked at the bartender. "This is on a tab right, because I am not leaving anytime soon." she sighed. He gave her a nod and she smiled back at him. "If that's the case could I get another glass of vodka. And maybe a few more shots."she said as the bartender brought her round of shots out. The witch had drank three of her shots, and she definitely knew that she was getting close to being drunk.
Lyra shook her head after she finished those shots, and had within minutes received her glass of vodka. Taking a few sips the witch had sat at the bar shaking her head. Just waiting until someone came up and tried to tell her to stop or someone trying to flirt. The witch didn't give a crap anymore and just wanted to forget about everything.
