With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
• Pax doesn’t have a serious bone in his body. He plays everything off as a joke, even if it really bothers him. He tends to mask his hurt with jokes and pranks rather than face what’s actually bothering him. People find this immature but it’s the only way he knows how to cope.
• He is fiercely competitive. Everything he does is made into a competition whether the other person knows it or not. And let’s make one thing clear; he hates to lose.
• Pax chews his bottom lip whenever he’s nervous, thinking, or bored. It’s a habit he picked up at a young age and it’s stuck with him.
• Everytime a thunderstorm rolls in, Pax find himself leaning against the window, or sitting on the roof ready to watch. Something about the forked lightning chasing away the darkness has always seemed to calm the anxiety he keeps bottled inside. At Hogwarts he watched from the Astronomy tower once, and it was breathtaking. By far the best storm he had ever seen.

HISTORY
• November 23, 2009: Paxton’s mom was a witch. She was beautiful and kind and all together the best mom anyone could ask for. His dad is muggle. He’s a great man who was madly in love with her and who only wanted the best for his family. On this day everything changes. Paxton’s mom died after a long battle with cancer. His dad could not understand how someone with magical abilities couldn’t be cured. His dad still hates magic to this day. When Paxton received his Hogwarts letter, his dad refused to let him go. Only after days of arguing and sobbing and sleepless nights did he finally give in.
• September 1, 2013: The first time Pax stepped into Hogwarts was the first time he felt connected to his mother again. She had always been great at magic and the absence of it in his life had made things much more difficult. Now he felt like he was home, and that she was with him.
• January 14, 2014: Frogs, so many frogs, covered the corridor floor. They were all croaking and hopping as students tried to navigate around them with squishing one. Paxton was doubled over with laughter at the first prank he’d accomplished at Hogwarts. The detention he’d received for setting the frogs free from the Transfiguration classroom had been well worth it to watch the girls squeal as the roads jumped towards them. It was then he realized that perhaps school wasn’t going to be so bad.

Dim morning light filtered through the window blinds, illuminating the dust into bright specks that floated through the room. A silence blanketed the house, broken only by a soft rhythmic ticking from the grandfather clock downstairs. It was the soft silence that formed early in the morning as the world was on the verge of awakening for another day. The kind of silence that made it difficult to pull yourself from the comfort of sleep.
A shape intake of breath and then a growling scream pierced the air, rippling then tearing the silence apart. Harry Potter sat bolt upright in his queen bed, sheets wrapping his half naked body. He reached blindly for his wand on the bed side table and lit it with a quick "Lumos!" The narrow beam of light cut through the dark corners of the bedroom where the sunlight had yet to penetrate.
Chest heaving, Harry felt his nightmare slip away as he gained his bearings. Rubbing his stubbled face, he tossed his wand back to the table and hung his legs off the edge of the bed. Three nights this week, he thought to himself irritably. Nightmares were not uncommon to him, but they had become more frequent the last couple of months. He was blaming it on a new found level of stress at work, but had yet to find a cure.
Looking down at the clock he heaved a sign. To late to go back to sleep. Pushing himself up from the bed, he stretched his hands over his head, muscles pulling tight across his torso. He let out a loud yawn and picked up his glasses and placed them in the bridge of his nose. Since Ginny was away on business, the boys were at school, and Lily had spent the night with Molly, Harry decided he would pay a visit to the Leaky Cauldron for breakfast.
After a quick shower, he dawned his cloak and walked out onto the landing of their house. Turning on the spot he apperated to the Leaky Cauldron steps. The cold winter air billowed his cloak around him as he turned the handle and entered the pub.
Two things he noticed as he entered the warm room. One, it was relatively empty given the time of morning. Usually the room was bustling with people eating breakfast before heading to work or to shop at Diagon Alley. Two, there were a couple of workers from the Daily Prophet talking in low voices and eyeing him from the back table. This concerned him the most. He had been avoiding any contact with the journalist after a trial had gone impeccably wrong last month.
Dipping his heard, he made to head to the bar when the two cut in front of him. One was brandishing a quill and notepad from under his cloak while the other poised himself with a camera, ready to take a picture. "Mr. Potter can we bother you with a question about last months trial? You've done a marvelous job at avoiding us thus far."
Harry raised a brow. "I thought that would be enough to give you a hint. Now if you'll.." he made to push through but the taller man stepped in front of him.
"It'll only take a second. Can you give me a statement on how Mr. Teague was allowed to be set free after all the evidence was brought against him? An error from your office?
Harry sucked his teeth and locked his eyes with the journalist. It had in fact been an error, an error Harry had made himself and one that everyone was aware of. The mention of it set Harry’s nerves on edge. "No comment." The all to familiar phrase seethed through his gritted teeth, and he pushed roughly past the man. This time he was successful at stepping by and was only a few steps from the bar when the man's hand gripped his shoulder.
"Care to comment on you impending divorce with your wife?"
Anger flashed hot and wild through his body, blinding him of his surroundings. Balling his fist, Harry swiped the hand from his shoulder and fought the urge to punch the man in the face. Only the slight awareness of the many eyes watching the encounter kept him from turning around. Marching forward with purpose, Harry sat at the bar and clutched his hand together; fighting the urge to turn and charge. A voice bedside him drew his attention from his whitening knuckles.
