With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?

Hi everyone, there's a couple of important things happening soon and wanted to update everyone!
1. There is something big {SURPRISE!} planned for the Winter Ball, so please consider this should you decide to have threads created with your students that are set after the Winter Ball. Those of you with Aurors, get ready!
2. With the recent attack in Hogsmeade (as described in the Daily Prophet) please be aware we have 2 mass threads planned for students returning home over the Christmas break. Please keep the following in mind for any threads that are based around students returning home.
Christmas Holidays To ensure the safety of Hogwarts students there will be three options for families. Option 1: Students remain in the safety of Hogwarts for the Christmas period. Option 2: Students with magical parents/caregivers wishing to return home for the Holiday Period will need to be picked up directly from Hogsmeade. There will be a heavy Auror presence to ensure the safety of the students and they will only be released to their legal guardian. Option 3: Muggleborn students that will be returning to their families will be escorted with Hogwarts Staff (there are a couple that are ex-Aurors) and perhaps 1 Auror on the Hogwarts Express. Legal guardians of these students may then pick their children up from Platform 9 3/4 .
If you have an Auror character that you would like to have involved with the Christmas Holidays, please contact BREE , ROSE , ROADROO or OLLIE for further details. As the return of students will be happening simultaneously, you will need to choose either Hogsmeade or Hogwarts Express to be involved in. If you have a Professor character that would like to be involved as well please contact staff regarding this in the Hogwarts Express as there will be a limited number of Professors. All remaining Professors will either be assisting with the handover in Hogsmeade or providing supervision at the Castle. We anticipate that this will give a great opportunity for them to interact with the kids/families.
Please note: Hogwarts Express will only have 1-2 spots for aurors as there are a very small portion of muggle born students. Hogsmeade is anticipated to be a larger thread as there are far more magical families. Orphans that do not have a legal guardian able to retrieve them will not be released for their own safety.
Students staying at Hogwarts Castle for the Christmas Holidays are those that do not have legal guardians that can pick them up from Hogsmeade or Hogwarts Express, as well as students with families that just don't want to return for the holiday. There will be fun activities but at this stage no mass thread specifically.
