With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Cleo had gotten a babysitter to watch her twins while she went to run some errands. She loved her kids she did but they were a handful when they were together and didn't make running errands any easier for her. They always picked up more then she wanted to buy and if she said no then they would throw tantrums and make her look like a bad mother. Through all of that she loved her kids regardless, she always wanted to be a mom but she always thought that when she actually becomes a mom that she would be doing it with their father and since she doesn't know who their father is just his face, it makes it so much more difficult for her because who knows if he still is in London, he could be halfway across the world and she had no idea. Cleo walked into the Three Broomsticks and grabbed an empty booth. So much she wanted to do with not a lot of time, she did want to find her kids father but that was extremely hard with no name. Cleo sighed in frustration.
With a heavy cloak fastened to the knee to keep Zoe snug as a bug, the witch walked briskly from the grounds of Hogwarts to the quaint little wizarding town of Hogsmeade. The fresh air had a chill to it that brought the colour out on Zoe's cheeks and as she arrived at the town she made sure to say 'hello' to the various people. Most of the inhabitants were quite friendly, even though she could tell that the years of werewolf tyranny had begun to put a strain on such hospitality. Today Zoe would be going into the muggle world to collect a decent bag full (or three) of goodies for the Christmas holidays but first... a drink!
Zoe heaved open the door to the old pub and took in the heady aroma of stale beer and old men. To the right she could find three such men who seemed to live on their bar stools, crouched over their mug of beer and rabbling away in that gravelly way old men do. To the left, Zoe's eyes fell upon the only empty seat left in the pub. Zoe's face lit up in a smile though, as it appeared to be next to a gorgeous young woman that looked to be having a bit of a bad day.
"Two butterbeers, please," Zoe ordered at the bar and motioned for them to be taken over to where she would sit. The barkeep nodded and got to work as Zoe first put her cloak on the hanger near the door. Then she strode over to where Cleo sat. "Hey, do you mind if I take a seat? I brought butter beer," Zoe sing-songed as she motioned to the person bringing over the drinks. "One for me annnnnd one for my new friend - ...?"
Cleo was wondering what is happening at home with her twins, yes she loved them and yes she did need to get some shopping done without them and it gave her some alone time. She heard footsteps but she didn't bother to look up for she didn't think it was for her but when she heard a voice she curiously looked up and saw a gorgeous female standing there in front of her. "Yes of course you can sit, I honestly don't mind some company" Cleo happily was glad that someone was going to join her that day. "Thank you, I am Cleo" she introduced herself to the woman in front of her.
