With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
I will tiptoe down that line but I will feel unstable
It had been a rough time but Felix wasn't going to let whatever happened affect his life longer than it should. He was stupid to think a girl like Rosalia actually gave a shit, instead she was being a loudmouth and a brat that didn't get her popsicles it seemed. Felix felt slightly betrayed because he trusted her with his personal life and yet she lied to him. He was highly convinced she lied about giving a care and so he stopped giving a care himself.
The boy went out for a run and ended up at the lake wondering if it was too cold to dive in. With a shrug he just took off his shirt, his pants and everything else except his boxers before heading into the lake. Felix then just dove underwater, his mind blanking because all he cared about was what he could see down the lake.
Lots of nature, lot's of seaweed and he just felt weightless among them all. Soon he had to come up for air but as long as he didn't have to he liked staying under. He liked not feeling like anything could touch him, everything felt weightless and his mind was nowhere near whatever happened to him outside of the lake.
Felix felt his lungs scream for air so he slowly same back up from what made him feel so comfortable and took a deep breath of cold air. He coughed a bit, his hand moving his wet locks out of his face.
Rebekah needed to escape the castle for a bit, not only was she pregnant but she had to hear the whispers of those around her who pretended that they knew her but didn't. So she made a mistake, people make them all the damn time and she wasn't perfect since no one was. Rebekah sighed as she walked to the lake, it was a good distance away from Hogwarts and that is what she needed right now. Her blue hair wash blowing with the little bit of air that was blowing. She got to the lake and instantly saw someone else there.
"Oops, I am sorry I didn't know anyone else was here. I can go if you want?" she asked.
I will tiptoe down that line but I will feel unstable
The black lake was a public area, everyone could come and go as they pleased which is why Felix wasn't going to be a jerk and tell a girl to get the hell away from him. Surely she'd see that he was not the least interested in interacting with her but when he swam to the edge of the lake, his eyes not on the girl coming towards him. He lifted himself up on the shore and just grabbed his from the cold grass, wrapping it around himself.
His eyebrow rose slightly when the girl approached him and spoke like she hadn't seen him which made him wonder if she was blind as she was annoying to him right now and made him turn his head slowly to look at her. She had blue hair which was a bit weird but he wasn't one to judge a girl by their looks all the time unless they gave him a reason to.
"You can stay at the lake, it's a public area after all." he assured her with a slight smile and reached for the rest of his clothes. He used the hot air spell on himself to dry him off and slipped on his jeans without her hopefully spotting his boxers.
"What are you doing out here in the cold? Aren't you supposed to be inside?" he asked and took the cloak off now he had his pants on. "Have you seen my shirt?"
Rebekah was glad that he didn't tell her to walk away and return back to the castle, she probably would have just found somewhere else quiet to go if he had turned her away but now that he had reassured her she was definitely going to stay. "Thank you" she replied politely as she took a seat on a rock large enough for her to sit and be comfortable on. As she looked out to the lake she heard the boy getting dressed, Rebekah didn't dare to look since that was an invasion of privacy and she wasn't going to do that to someone.
When he asked if she had seen his shirt, she looked to her left and seen it, bending down carefully to grab it and walking over to him and handing it to him. He also asked what she was doing out there and not in the castle, Rebekah shrugged a bit. "Tired of people judging me I guess, some of my house mates have nothing better else to do then talk about me behind my back and whisper like I'm not even there. I guess I needed an escape from them" Rebekah briefly explained.
Felix wasn't bothered that he couldn't find his shirt for a moment. He shrugged the girl's thanks off like it didn't matter because why thank him for being able to be in a public area? That was foolish and made no sense. The male took his shirt when she handed it to him and slipped it on. Truth be told he didn't need to seek conversation with him but since she was talking anyway the gentlemanly thing to do was respond at least.
"I can relate to that." he said simply and nodded slowly as she explained her situation. Some people were just really not mature enough to say what was on their hearts in people's faces. "It's called cowardice. Honestly you should point out to them to talk into your face rather than behind your back." he said not really being the person who should give advice yet here was doing exactly that.
"Also stop giving them reasons to talk shit in the first place. Though people here being who they are they will always find a reason no matter what you do."
Rebekah got the feeling that he didn't really care or want to care at this point, she knew that deep down she would always care what people thought about her but she didn't know why. She was always nice and always willing to talk to anyone but that was just who she was. She was too naïve her brother always said and she could always believe it. Rebekah needed to get thicker skin but she didn't know how. She didn't like hurting people's feelings which was her biggest fear. If something happened to that person she'd feel it was her fault and it was horrible.
"You're right about that, but actually telling them to say it to my face is easy but them actually doing it is another story. People here would rather be cowardice as you say then be a woman/man about it and say it to someone's face. Trust me when I say this there are people here who may be older then others but still act like they're in first year. All childish and carefree" Rebekah replied. It was true, she had some people in her house acting like that but she had to deal with it when it came to them since she was their house mate.
Caring about what other people think is the biggest weakness a person can have. It will cause insecurities and many other psychological problems only because someone gives a damn about what others say or think about you. Felix wasn't going to let that happen to him but this girl obviously was lost if she cared enough to walk out of a damn school.
Felix cocked his head when she spoke and rolled his eyes. "Of course I am right." he said and crossed his arms over his chest. She was pathetic and he couldn't even express how much he disliked her. "Not all people are like that. But the only reason people would pick on you is because you are an easy target." he told her and slipped his hands into his pockets.
"If you don't want them to do it. Then don't let them." he shook his head. Felix told his family the same thing, if they were bullied and they couldn't deal then they are too weak to function. It was what his father taught him.
Rebekah could honestly tell that this guy was an ass and looked like he didn't want to be bothered by people, she saw the eye roll and it took everything in her not to just slap him in the face for being so rude. Everyone in the damn school was rude practically when it came to other students, she'd rather deal with the quietness of the library or a dark corner where she really couldn't be bothered when it came down to it. "I'm going to assume that you're self centered with a gigantic ego?" the blue haired girl pointed out from his comment about how he knew he was right. "People here have nothing better to do then judge me for their own petty reasons" Rebekah simply sighed.
