With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?

I will tiptoe down that line but I will feel unstable
Mara was tired, she had been hiking through the woods trying to get any sense of where she'd be going next. Honestly life had been rough when you had no real home. Clothes were either stolen or she managed to find a sweet household where she could couch surf and use their washing machine. Theft was often the easiest option in the end. Especially after the shift... not everyone likes to see people naked no matter what they tell you.
Mara luckily had been in England for a short time now and she was both uncomfortable but felt safe as well being in the cabin of her dear friend. They both suffered from the same thing, becoming a werewolf and basically an orphan. The brunette was seated outside of the cabin, loving the nature surrounding her no matter how cold it was.
She had been given a blanket and was holding onto a warm cup of hot chocolate as she sat there. Peter was out with Dallas, getting food. Artemis was being super sweet and a great host to her.

Artemis had been living at the Reid's family cabin ever since they were turned during that horrible summer. A camping trip gone wrong, and now Peter was suffering from the same thing. But this story had been different, he had been assumed missing and dead until both he and Mara had showed up at the cabins doorstep. Artemis wasn't one to turn them away, and it was a shock to see Peter, different and not very talkative. The only person he seemed to rely on was Mara, and now he was out with Dallas Reid, the brother who happens to have a sister who is dating Mara's older sister. It was one weird ass werewolf family but Artie wasn't one to complain, and besides, the company was great to have because it got lonely in the cabin when Dallas went to do his thing.
The female had been standing in the doorway, watching the girl and soon found herself seated next to her, enjoying the fresh air and hearing the birds sing in the trees near by. This had been her home for a long time and she enjoyed the woods around them. She had looked up at the trees, smiling a bit as she looked at Mara and cocked her head to the side. "It's no problem. I have plenty of hot chocolate to share. Even got white chocolate. Dallas tends to stock up on the stuff." she said and chuckled as she took a sip of her own hot chocolate.
"So, you and Peter Tyrell are a thing now?"

Mara could understand that it could be strange to have two people you used to know, one of them presumed dead to be at your doorstep. Peter needed his friends back as much as he'd like to deny it. He needed connections, something to keep him grounded and Mara couldn't be the only one to do that. The brunette ran a hand through her hair and took a sip of the hot chocolate before looking at Artemis.
"White hot chocolate? Oh sign me up for that round." she chuckled a bit and let out a small happy sigh as she took another sip of the hot chocolate. She had missed the simple feeling of enjoying something like this. The girl hummed and when Artemis asked about Peter she couldn't help but smile.
"Yeah.. he was there when I needed him in school and I was there when he needed help with his wolf form." she said and smiled a bit. "We've seen many places, but I think coming back here was a big step for him."

When Peter and Mara showed up at the door, she was surprised and she had noticed Peter not being able to leave Mara's side until they all managed to get him out of the cabin. Artemis was concerned, studying the male every time he looked over his shoulder and had to be reminded that they were safe there. He barely said two words whenever she and Dallas were in the room. He always mumbled something, his eyes avoiding to look at them. This wasn't the Peter she knew once before, this was a different Peter. A paranoid looking Peter. Something was wrong with him, and Artie wanted to know what had happened to the boy they all knew.
Artemis took a sip of her hot chocolate, letting out a sigh as she thought over what these two had been through. "Everyone thought he was dead for a long time. What happened to him? Were you guys together the whole time?" she asked softly, looking around for a moment as she heard some birds sing out.

Mara remembered the cold day where she saved Peter from doom when she was in Russia. She thought she could enjoy some art there but it was the biggest mistake she made, werewolves aren't safe anywhere with the ministries acting the way they do. Her eyes fell for a moment and then turned to Artemis when she asked the question she would've heard many times if it wasn't for her lack of social life.
"He was taken by some bad crowd. Wolves too but they tried to convince him his family hated him, that they wanted him dead. He was getting brainwashed but I got there in time to save him. We've been together since then." she told her and smiled a bit.

Artemis had no idea what she'd do without Dallas around to keep her grounded. Sure, she had her twin brother Apollo but sometimes that wasn't enough for her. Her brother didn't like to stay long with the two of them because he and Dallas often bumped heads, and fists were used which she would get between them. Last fight they had resulted in Artie getting punched by her brother, and it was the last time she saw him. It scared her to death when it's been weeks since she heard from the idiot. She wanted to send Dallas out there to search for him but it wasn't safe and last thing she needed was to lose her boyfriend.
Hearing Peter's story to what had happened, she was disgusted with the men that took Peter away from the people he loved. "Goddamn. I don't know why they would take a teenage boy like that. Use him. I can't imagine what he had been through." she frowned as she looked at her friend before sipping the hot chocolate.
"Yeah, I don't let that boy out of my sight. Last thing I need is for him to get caught somewhere he shouldn't." she said with a sigh. "I hate how these laws are tearing everyone away from their family."
