With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Skylar had always liked Clarissa Jones.
While they weren't in the same house, they were in the same year, so they had always had quite a few of their classes together, and he saw her often. And she was fun to hang out with. She had a bright energy that was nearly contagious, easy for Skylar to get swept up in. Her colorful hair, her constant smiles, her optimism--he had always cheered up with her around.
But there was one thing she couldn't be: his sister. Only Morgan could say that.
And while he knew he needed someone to take care of him, and those people were the Joneses, he couldn't bear to think of all those people as his family. It felt a little like they believed everything could be fixed by plopping him into a new family, as if the new parents could replace the old ones. He did know better. He did try not to let his foster parents know. But when his "siblings" tried to be nice, it was like all those feelings boiled over. And with Clary, who he had to see all the time, it was worst of all.
The Hufflepuff boy sat on a bench in the courtyard, his classes done for the day, though still not having removed his uniform. He wasn't sure what he wanted to do for the rest of the afternoon, and he hoped inspiration would strike him before a bad mood did.

Clarissa had been doing so well today. She had been having fun with her friends but now she was actually a bit tired. She went outside for some fresh air hoping it would wake her up a little. She hadn't seen any of her siblings lately and she missed them all really. The girl looked around and smiled when she spotted a ginger haired boy that she was close friends with for years.
Ever since his parents died she felt really bad for him. He was even pushing her away and she knew that he didn't mean to. She knew he wanted to get his family back and she wished she could give him just that. Nonetheless she was going to talk to him.
"Hey Skylar!" she said and plopped down next to him and eyed her friend.
"You have been avoiding me meanie." Clary poked him.

Clary wasn't wrong. It was true, he had been avoiding her, only speaking to her on the occasions that he had to, like classes. But the way she had just said it so casually made irritation bubble up inside him. It wasn't her fault that he was like this, but she'd had far longer to learn to be happy with the giant family; couldn't she understand that everything felt too weird and wrong? Skylar's teeth gritted together as he stared at the ground instead of the girl perched on the bench next to him. He knew he wasn't acting like himself. It had been less than six months ago when he'd happily hugged her before leaving for summer vacation, excited to see her again in the fall. And now he wanted only to push her away.
He kicked at the ground with his foot, letting the rubber of his sneaker scrape against the stone path. "Hey, Clary," he grumbled, his voice far less cheerful than normal. It didn't feel like the time for optimism, or for being poked. He hunched his shoulders over, feeling like his chance at a good mood had been ruined without even doing anything.
