With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain

Student drama, something Ariella never missed. Not even when she graduated did she think she would ever miss this place. The woman didn't take the job because she loved this place or the students. She didn't even like teaching really, she just liked potions and poisons alike as well as the forbidden forest.
This forest was her hideout for so long, the creatures here even feared her like they should. She never met anything that didn't bend down to her will. The unicorns ran off as soon as they saw her, the spiders didn't even dare to come near her and the centaurs were amazing company but even they saw the darkness inside of her.
Ariella sighed as she sat on a branch covered by her jacket before looking at the night sky.
Chris was exhausted. He'd been running around all day after out of control first years and rebellious fifths. In his final class that day, someone had lost control of their broom and come running out of the forbidden forest balling their eyes out... without the broom. He would have retrieved it after class, except a different student had fallen and broken some bones, and he'd taken them to the the Hospital Wing, dismissing the rest of the class. Madame Pomfrey had trapped him in there, wanting to know exactly how it had happened and lecturing him on the danger of flying. He knew the risks, but he hadn't escaped until dinner.
He traipsed through the forest, on foot, not daring to try and summon the lost broom. Chris had learned his lesson a couple of years previously after losing a broom in a tree. It seems that if you try to summon a broom, you get that broom, but also the twenty or so others sitting in the supply room.
Christian's wand was lit in front of him, lighting the way in case of werewolves or an angry centaur. Most of the ones that strayed this close to the castle weren't inclined to stamp a wandering wizard to death unless provoked. Despite being on alert, Chris started when his eyes landed on the potions professor. He stopped and cleared his throat, "Out for a stroll, Ariella?"

Ariella was having a wonderful daydream about many things until her focus was broken by a voice. Surely no one stupid enough as a student would come and disturb her would they? The brunette cocked her head as she observed the male professor she came to learn taught flying to the teenage idiots in this place.
His name escaped her though he surely seemed to remember hers, well this is awkward isn't it? The young woman crossed her legs and smiled a bit.
"Hello, yes I like to come here and think." she explained as she motioned to the silence of the forest. He though seemed to have lost something and the marbles joke would be too old for this conversation.
"Did you lose something? You don't seem like the type that comes here for pleasure?"
Why was she out here all alone? Chris knew better than to doubt someone's abilities, especially a professor, but he felt that the young witch might not understand exactly how dangerous the forest could be these days. He took a few steps towards her, lowering his wand to avoid blinding her. He frowned at her blasé response. So she really had no idea. With the werewolves on a constant offensive, it wasn't out of the question for one to make it's way into the Forbidden Forest. He doubted the Headmistress would allow a large group but a lone wolf or small group could be prowling around. If they were to find a human, full moon or no, the consequences could be nasty.
"You really shouldn't be out here alone." He nodded at her question, raising his eyebrows slightly at her intuition. "I don't like to put myself in copious amounts of danger, no. I'm looking for a rogue broom." He glanced around for a moment, staring around the vicinity.
