With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Eva ran a hand through her hair as she walked out of her workplace. She was done for tonight and a part of her wanted to get drunk and sleep. The woman yawned as she walked the streets of Hogsmeade, trying to get to her apartment. Eva didn't mind the darkness, she actually enjoyed dark nights where she was almost hidden in space.
What she didn't expect was bumping into someone which she did unintentionally and made he take a couple of steps back. Eva grunted some curse words under her breath as she stumbled backwards a little more.
"Sorry.." she didn't expect any apologies coming from the other person.
ilith had a long weekend. She'd been the on call healer for her ward, and was disgruntled to find that she had a mere 36 hour break until her next shift. Which, thankfully, was much shorter. Lilith often found herself wishing she hadn't followed in her family's footsteps to become a healer, but it was something she was absolutely great at. She'd tried Arithmancy, she'd tried Care of Magical Creatures. But nothing stuck, not quite like the subjects most necessary to become a healer. And so, it just made sense.

Lilith fancied a little change of scene. London could be ever so boring. After changing out of her lime green robes, she donned something a bit more casual and apparated from her flat to Hogsmeade. Though she'd had her license for years, Lilith still wasn't much for the suffocating feeling that lingered post movement. Scrunching up her nose in distaste, Lilith set off down the High Street. The Three Broomsticks would be a cosy option, but still sort of the posh feeling as London. Pausing to consider her options, Lilith glanced the other way down the street. Would the Hog's Head be more her scene tonight? It was a bit grimy... didn't find that so much in London. At least, not the pubs she considered reputable. Then again, Lilith wasn't much a grimy old pub sort of girl.

While Lilith stood there, she was suddenly accosted by someone. She let out a shout of surprise, fixing a glare on the offender. The girl muttered a sort of apology and Lilith sniffed with disapproval. "You should watch where you're going. I'm off duty and not in the mood to reset any bones tonight," said Lilith haughtily.

Did Eva expect to run into some woman who she didn't even want to consider talking to? No she didn't. The young woman was sick and tired of people down talking her and 99% of the wizarding community had sticks so far up their asses you could see it come out of their heads like a horn.
"Boohoo." she sneered in response. If the woman hated the little free time she had between work hours maybe she should consider a different job. Eva adjusted her own clothes which was a muggle outfit because wizarding robes looked like fashion disasters and rolled her eyes.
"Adjust that stick down there a little and you won't have to reset your own bones tonight." God Eva needed to get wasted. She did not need to deal with class A bitches tonight.
"The pub is closed tonight by the way but maybe the owner can give you some scraps if you ask nicely."
ilith met the girl's gaze with an imperious one of her own. "That's no way to speak to anyone," she commented. Was this what the rest of the world had resorted to? Crude language and barbaric jibes? Lilith was highly uninterested. But when the girl commented that the pub was closed, Lilith's face fell. All she had wanted was a change of pace. This was her payment for leaving the city proper. It wasn't like she could go anywhere else now, that would be utterly too long. Lilith closed her eyes and rubbed a hand on her face.

"Please, drop the attitude for just a moment," said Lilith, resigned. "Did something happen? This is Britain. The pub only closes if the owner dies," she added, opening her eyes once more. The attitude of her fellow countrymen was one that should the cask ales ever run out, the end of the world was coming. She couldn't imagine a reason why the pub would close so early. She wondered if the owner actually did die. Lilith may have been a healer, but she was no miracle worker. There was no magic that could reawaken the dead.

After an extended silence, Lilith returned her attention to the brunette who had accosted her. "Well, I suppose I can forgive you if you can fix me up with a place that can get me a proper drink," she said. This was likely the most desperate she had been, and would ever be, to just have a moment to relax.

Honestly Eva could care less how she was supposed to talk to a person. If she felt like telling people off for threatening her in the first place and place she would do so whether they liked it or not. So when the blonde told her off she rolled her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest with a daring expression. She did not feel like getting into a fight but she would break her bones if she had to.
"All I know he closed the pub down and told me to go home." she scoffed and rolled her shoulders into a shrug showing she really didn't give a damn. She would find somewhere to get wasted and forget about her life one way or another. This was nothing she should deal with while sober.
"Like I need your forgiveness." she shot back and nodded at the Hog's head. "That place is open till the morning hours." she sighed and shoved her hands into her pockets.
"And since you are not dressed for a club.. that place is your best bet."
ife as a healer trainee was no joke. It meant long hours, and inexplicable substances spilled on you. Most nights, Lilith would simply collapse on her bed in varying states of undress and fall asleep, only to wake a few hours later and remember to take a shower and compose herself. Tonight could have been one in the same, but Lilith had fancied a change. She was starting to regret it now.

Lilith silently appraised the girl. The Hogs Head would do in a pinch, she supposed. Despite her earlier misgivings about the place, she had to wet her whistle somewhere. It seemed like this would be the place. And even if she had been dressed for the club, Lilith wouldn't be caught dead in one of those gropey, misogynistic places.

Now that Lilith was decided on the evening's trajectory, she surprised herself immensely by opening her mouth again. "You need a drink. Join me." It wasn't a matter of being nice or not, as Lilith was only calculating. But she could tell that this girl would lose her temper when the alcohol was flowing through her. She would consider it her good deed to the world to take this unnecessarily defiant girl off the streets.

Eva's plans didn't stretch far enough to her drinking with someone. Often she would buy the liquor, go home to her apartment of misery and drink herself to sleep. It was her routine and though she should break it and simply not be a drunk, she liked it. She enjoyed the misery even when she didn't like to admit it.
"You don't say." she answered about the statement that Eva needed a drink. She needed several and forget she ever met blondie the barbie doll. Sadly she also sort of invited Eva to come with her which was not something she looked forward to.
Eva let out a sigh. "Fine." she then headed towards the Hog's head. Maybe once there Lilith would leave her alone but until then.. "So why do you need a drink? Because of the bone breaking?" she asked and cocked her head curiously.
he girl's response had not been a resounding "Sod off" like Lilith had expected. She was in fact stunned that the girl agreed to join her for a drink. So much so that she just gaped at the poor girl for a moment before composing herself and nodding. Lilith reassumed her usual brisk manner in three heartbeats. "Good. That's good then. Some days you shouldn't drink alone," she commented, before following the girl towards the Hogs Head.
"What's your name, anyways?" asked Lilith, overly aware of the fact that she kept calling the girl 'the girl' in her head. She couldn't have been long out of school, and definitely younger than Lilith. "And yes, because of the bone breaking. Perhaps it's because I'm new, but they keep putting me on call. I have thirty six hours to do as I please, and I intend to spend at least half of them drunk and the other half unconscious." After a moment, Lilith realised she still hadn't really explained herself. "I'm a healer." She didn't add the fact that she was in the last year of her apprenticeship.
The pair entered the grubby pub and Lilith led the way to the bar. "Two firewhiskys. And er, what would you like?" she asked the girl.

Apparently Eva seemed to have surprised this other woman, she surprised her so much that the woman was gaping like a fish outside of the water. Eva rolled her eyes at the sight and just walked for the bar, she really figured she might as well walk with her there than walk by herself.
The woman rose her eyebrow a bit, why was this blonde still talking? Did she invite talkative people in? Eva wanted her to just zip her lips but that seemed to never going to happen either. She asked her about her name and Eva let out a small sigh.
"Eva, just Eva." she said simply and slipped her hands into the pockets of her jacket again. She usually dealt with people better when she was drunk, it was just easier. Maybe that was why Ava was always such a grump, her wine didn't seem to do the trick.
"I figured, my sister was one in training." she said softly and shook her head. "If you hate the hours why bother with the job?"
