With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain
❧
The first potions classes Ariella was going to teach these numb, mindless idiots and she was already trying to make sure they were smart enough to figure out how to do something so simple. First years would either have never seen a bloody cauldron or they think its something to drink juice from.
Ariella had low expectations of these kids because they were just little kids. The woman had written the potions for both years on a blackboard and sighed.
The dungeons were dreadful and she was already annoyed by the lack of sunlight. She was wondering who was the previous professor and whether or not he had a fetish as the students came walking in.
"Sit, keep your lips together and grab your tools." she said coldly and leaned against the desk with her arms crossed.
"Today you will learn the magical world of potions. Be aware that this is something you put all your energy and effort into, this can kill you by just a simple little mistake." she told them and smiled a bit.
"So who of you can tell me how to cure someone who got poisoned?"

And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain
❧
Potions was a scary class because Scorpius thought it was quite similar to cooking but harder and it never tastes good either. The boy was seated uncomfortably and hidden in the back of the classroom, his eyes on his hands which were fiddling with his tie while he listened to the professor.
She really didn't sound nice and he just got more nervous.
I will tiptoe down that line but I will feel unstable
Edmund's opinion on potions was not the worst for once. He actually thought it was amazing how certain items could create something that could change anything about anything. He studied the basics of alchemy over the summer but it wasn't as nearly realistically interesting than potions. The boy had taken a seat and the new professor surely didn't make sure that the students would walk all over her.
She looked very young too which was a new sight here for sure. As soon as she asked a question about poisons his hand shot up. When it was his turn because the annoyed professor nodded at his raising hand Edmund cleared his throat quietly.
"A bezoar cures most common poisons. Though there are various skilled potions to cure specific poisons a bezoar cannot handle on it's own."
Harper was sitting quietly in the potions classroom and listening others. Basically potions was one of the few classed were the first year hufflepuff didn't know much about before coming to Hogwarts. So she was here to learn.
The girl had no clue how to answer to the question what was asked there. She just hoped others will. She wasn't even sure where to check the topic yet. She just kept being quiet.
Among the various classes Felicity had started, the potions teacher made her want to learn about the subject the least. She made it sound so dramatic, as if she wanted to kill them with whatever they would be brewing up in his class. That didn't sound like much fun to Felicity. But she was going to do her best anyway. She knew that papa used potion sometimes to change the way he looked and Felicity found those pretty cool. However, she didn't know anything about poisons and hoped she wouldn't have to for a while. "Bring them to Mungo's?" she therefore suggested, completely forgetting to raise her hand. That's what she would do. Or better yet, call papa. He would surely know what to do.

Ariella didn't expect much of intelligence when it came to her students so of course when there was finally an answer she nodded. "Ten points to Slytherin." she said and sighed for a moment. The woman wrote down a recipe for a potion on the blackboard before turning her attention to a ginger girl. How old was she? Five? Did she even know the slightest about potions? Her response was as dull as the face of the bastard Tyrell Ariella didn't even acknowledge as family.
"I suppose an unknowing child would but that was not the answer to my question. As mister Rosaline said you use a bezoar." she said and rose an eyebrow.
"Miss Tyrell.." Ariella had to hide the disgust in her voice. "Care to tell us where a bezoar comes from and educate your fellow students or do you prefer a nap?" she asked and cleared her throat.
"Today you will write me a paper about the ingredients I wrote down here, the potion it can create and the causes and effects of that potion. I expect it on my desk by the end of the week." she said and nodded. "Class dismissed."
All Harper knew that this class professor was one of her older half-siblings who didn't seem to like her much. Anyways she didn't care much about that fact. It wasn't her fault really that they shared a father. Anyways she heard her name, well the last name and sighed. She knew she could try to answer it the best as she can. She thought a bit before she decided to reply back.
"Bezoar is actually stone-like mass that you can take from goat stomach. It acts as an antidote in the most potions. Oh, the object is often made of hair, plant fibre or similar indigestible matter what could stay in the goat stomach so it ends forming hardball or "stone"" she said there something now. She has no clue where did she even knew it. Seems like she might have read it somewhere. Anyways she didn't really wanna be a disappointment too.
Harper looked at the ingredients on the board and sighed. The girl wrote them down for herself and knew she needed to find out later what they are used for. She knew she didn't wanna fail here.
