With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Work was done for the night but Dallas had been taking his time to get home. His parents were asleep and trusted him to come home even though he went through hell, they always trusted their kids. Sure they weren't his real parents but he was grateful for their home being open to him and his siblings. The least he could do is have a job.
Dallas was drinking from a bottle he stole out of their inventory, everyone did it, and looked around for familiar faces. Of course there wouldn't be any familiar faces, they were all strangers in the darkness.
There was something animalistic to him, dangerous in a way and not because he wanted it but because ever since he became a werewolf he had an even worse struggle with himself.
"Sorry." he said as he bumped into a person. "You lost lass?"

hivering, Teresa swore under her breath. It was freezing, even with her jacket and the warming spell she'd cast. She didn't know how she was going to make it through tonight without catching her death - usually, she could pinch a wallet or convince some lucky bastard to let her crash, but tonight despite all her efforts, things just weren't going to plan.
Turning into Knockturn Alley, Teresa decided to try and find a quiet spot to crash... she wasn't scared of the place nor did she care about the bad reputation it had. At least people left you to your own business here, and she'd learned from experience that sleeping on the cobblestone streets of Diagon Alley would result in some self-righteous git calling the Ministry on you.
Eyes as watchful as a tigers, trying to scope out the best place to set up camp for the night, Teresa wasn't paying much attention to the other passerbys until one dared to crash into her. On reflex, Teresa's wand was drawn and held to the person's throat in case they tried any funny business... but then she caught a glimpse of the person's face. Wand lowering, only slightly, Teresa's eyes narrowed. "You're just a kid. What the hell are you doing in Knockturn Alley?"

Dallas didn't think the woman he ran into was going to curse his ass to next friday. He was raising his hands up as a sign of mercy and frowned a bit as he studied her. She didn't seem like the type to wander these streets but then again a lot of strange types wander the streets of Knockturn Alley.
"Thanks for the obvious observation." he said softly and sighed a bit. He wasn't going to spray around the fact he was a werewolf, people might be listening. Who knows she might try to arrest him, she didn't seem like a ministry knob though.
"I work here.. the wyvern." he pointed at the pub behind him. He eyed the wand lowering a little and he frowned a bit.
"Can you put that away, I might be a stranger but I don't like wands pointed at me." he told her and took a small step back. He really did not need to make enemies with a girl tonight.

hen the boy raised his hands like Teresa was about to use an Unforgivable on him, Teresa's wand lowered a touch further. She wasn't stupid enough to pocket it entirely however because she didn't know this kid. What was to say he wouldn't attack her? His response to her saying he was 'only a kid,' made her brows arch however. "You work at the Wyvern with that mouth on you?" she said, skeptically. The folk around here didn't take too kindly to youngin's speaking to them like that, so she was surprised. "You only just start or something?"
"And I don't like the fact that you're three inches taller than me and built like you have a touch of giant in you so... no. It's staying out for now, and in case you haven't realised it's not pointed at you any longer," she said, as she gripped onto her wand a little bit harder. Had he not clued onto the fact that she'd lowered it twice whilst speaking to him? "I'm walking 'round the block and tiring myself out." She wasn't about to let him know she was finding a place to kip for the night because it wasn't his business. Besides, he couldn't even give her find a place to stay because it wasn't like she couldn't sleep with him. He was definitely jailbait.

Dallas lowered his hands but stayed on guard, he really didn't need to be hexed by a woman while he is on his way home. He missed his sister, she was the one who kept him calm when he wasn't able to stay calm and he really didn't need to get into another fight with a woman, it was bad for his mental health.
"Yeah they gave me a job..." he mumbled and rubbed the back of his neck. She might be a ministry bitch wanting to send him to jail or something. He really didn't need to go to jail. He was a good guy.. he worked hard and he was there for his sister.
"I'm sorry.. I was a not so adorable kid so my parents kicked some inches when I was being horrible." he tried to make a joke out of it and he seriously was not here to cause any problems. "Look I just am a guy trying to have a normal life... I swear I am not causing trouble."
"Oh well.." he might be safe? "I am about to head that way too.." he said and pointed in the direction she was going. "The busstop is right there near a youth hostel and I could really use some sleep before going home.. the busses won't go till morning." he didn't even know why he was talking this much.

eresa really tried her best not to feel jealous, she did, but it was hard to stomach the words 'they gave me a job' when nobody in a hundred mile radius could even entertain the idea of employing her. Big thumbs up to the Ministry of Magic for that one. "You should in school, not busting your arse to work minimum wage doing... what? You can't serve drinks. You a cleaner or something?" Teresa asked bluntly.
When this kid attempted to crack a joke - if that's what he was doing, Teresa's brows raised. "If you're disclosing any allegations to me about being hit, then I'm not taking you to St. Mungos. I'd splinch myself before we even left," she told him, shrugging. Whilst the floor network worked just fine to take them to St. Mungos, she didn't want to use that either. The hospital brought back bad memories, the few months she spent there recovering from the werewolf attack at Hogwarts. The darkest damn time of her life which was a laugh riot considering she was currently about to sleep on the streets.
As Dallas pointed in the direction of a youth hostel, Teresa nodded slowly. "Yeah... yeah, okay. If they'll take me. Last time I was there, they told me I was kicked out because some bitch tried to steal my galleons and I petrified her to get them back," she said, although very casually as though she was talking about the weather.
Eyeing his hand, Teresa paused for a minute. Would he know who she was from the papers? Did he go to Hogwarts during the attack? He couldn't figure out anything from just her first name, but she decided to play it safe. "I'm T," she said, finally pocketing her wand to shake his hand firmly.

Of course he should be in school but he couldn't go back, not even when he really wanted to. The boy really did miss school and he wished he could go back but he would be a danger to everyone there. "I would go back but I can't." he frowned as he eyed her, she couldn't possibly work for the ministry.
"I just don't belong there." he sighed and rubbed his own arm. This was not really something he enjoyed talking about. About losing his friends, everything that meant the world to him was gone and still there at the same time.
"No it was just a joke.." he said and frowned for a moment. Wow she was really not one to be around people was she? The woman didn't even recognize a joke. "Are you scared of the hospital? I don't like them either really." he figured that would make some sort of sense.
"You petrified someone for taking your money? Nice." there was a laugh. "I would pay to see that, not that I have much cash on me." he added and grinned a bit before shaking her hand. She was shaking it firmly which was a good sign in a way.
"Nice to meet you, T." he said and motioned to the direction they were walking to. "Doesn't this place give you the creeps though? It does to me sometimes."

eresa's brows raised as the boy mentioned that he couldn't return to Hogwarts because why not? "I know that feeling," was all she said in reply, perhaps a bit shortly. She definitely knew what it was like, having been thrown out at the very end of her fifth year. She'd graduated with poor OWLs, a result of being in the hospital for a good few months after being attacked and missing a lot of her classes. It was a shame because was actually quite talented when it came to magic especially dueling.
"Next time make it funny then," Teresa said, sending the boy a wry smile before moving the conversation along. He was talking about the hospital and she shrugged. "Spent months in there, listening to healers bitch and moan about their jobs and coworkers, and missing out on my life. Don't really want to go back there. Can't say it was the highlight of my life, y'know?"
"Yeah, bitches get stitches, right?" This time, there was a hint of amusement in Teresa's voice as she spoke. When she thought about it, it was actually a bit funny. The look on the person's face when she whipped out her wand and froze them like a statue... priceless. "Man, if you did have money then I'd petrify everyone I encountered. I'd milk you like a goddamn cow if you'd pay to see it."
Teresa nodded at Dallas' question because, "Yeah, gotta sleep with your wand under your pillow there. Everyone's a bit desperate." Including herself, actually. She wasn't above stealing money, she did it to get by. She was protective of her stolen goods too. "You sleep at the hostel often?"

Honestly Dallas was not too happy that he couldn't go back. He was torn away from his family and it tore at him piece by piece. He had to tell Artemis somehow that he was coming home in the morning so public transport could take him close to the cabin they lived in. He lived in the middle of fucking nowhere because of this curse.
Yet he couldn't shake the boy who said he had a gift off. Was this a gift? Being torn away from the people you love for what reason? power? The woman seemed kind of shady, she was definitley not one to trust others and he didn't mind. Hell he felt the same way its why he slept in motels from time to time. It was a cover so they didn't know about the cabin.
"I can imagine." he hated hospitals, last thing he wanted was spend more time than he was supposed to in there. "Hospitals are the worst." he added and looked down at his feet as he walked.
"Hah, it would be worth it." he said and smirked a bit. He was protective over his possessions but he didn't care much more than he had to, most of it was safe with his girl. "I sleep when necessary, I do have a loving family that took me in but it's not the same." he said and frowned for a moment.

"H
ospitals are shit," Teresa agreed, nodding. The way he was looking at his feet though, that was weird and Teresa wasn't above to let it slide. "Man, if you're looking at your feet and not in front of you, you're gonna run into someone. Least that's what my nanny used to tell me. It was always: T, тримайте очі вгору, прямо головою. " Her nanny had a penchant for lapsing into her mother tongue of Ukrainian when chastising her and her brother, and Teresa had definitely picked up on that habit herself.
"A loving family. Then why aren't you staying with them tonight?" Teresa asked, brows raised. Hell, if she had that then she wouldn't have been about to take a nap on the streets. "Do I what? Stay at the hostels often or have a loving family?" Teresa shook her head. "Nah, normally I manage to sleep at someone else's house, maybe earn a couple of dollars afterwards and stay in a hotel for the night. Depends how loaded they are. If my loving parents didn't kick me out flat on my arse at sixteen though, I would have a bed to sleep in."
