With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

The lanky teenager laughed as he shoved one of his mother's shortbread biscuits into his mouth. It made him inhale some particles and he had a coughing fit at the top of the stairs - one of his multitude of mates revelled in the opportunity to pat him hard on the back to keep him from choking.
"Yeah alright, you tosser, steady on," Arthur shooed his laughing friend away as he continued his descent into the depths of the Hogwarts Castle. At one point he was dared to attempt sliding down one of those moving staircases and he executed it perfectly - his definitely not broken neck (sorry bout it Vinda) being proof of his incredible athletic abilities. Regular acrobat, my Arthur is.
"Gracie's gonna be grinnin' from ear to ear -" Arthur shoved another biscuit into his mouth. He probably should be careful, really, so that he didn't eat all of them before he shared the packet with his little sister. "Hey - hey Soph - is Gracie in there? I have a present from Ma ... would you like some? You can have some from Gracie's share cuz... I mean I'm nice but I'm not that nice," the Gryffindor gave his sister's roomie a big grin and a playful wriggle of his brows as he offered Sophie a biscuit.

umming faintly to herself as she stepped out of the common room, allowing the door to swing closed behind her, Sophie paused to consider the unexpected addition to the scenery which stood in front of her. Of course she recognised Arthur; he'd been around the place for as long as she had, and if she didn't know her own roommate's brother after seven years then she would have been severely worried about her own networking capabilities, but it wasn't often she encountered him on his own. It seemed to be a Gryffindor thing, going around in enormous groups, laughing and shouting...
"Hey, sweetie," she greeted him with one of her especially dazzling smiles. "No, I haven't seen Grace about today; I think she must be upstairs somewhere." That was one of the few benefits of having a subterranean common room; you could at least say with reasonable confidence that anyone who wasn't there was most likely upstairs. Admittedly, it didn't help very much, but if Sophie were to start being helpful now then who knew where it might end? "And as lovely as that sounds, I'd better not. Your sister might strangle me." She winked at him- they both knew, surely, that that was about as likely as discovering a unicorn in your bedroom. "Besides, watching my weight..." A hand passed briefly over her flat stomach.

Sweetie - that coupled with Sophie's delightful smile brought a sudden flush of colour to Arthur's cheeks and whilst they were filled much like a chipmunk's, he found himself grinning back. "Oh man, I just came from upstairs. The owlery. Like... almost the most upstairs of upstairs... and she was never very good at hide-n-seek," Arthur blabbered once he managed to swallow his cheekful of shortbread.
Arthur let out a laugh at the idea of his sister killing even a fly, let alone her housemate. Still, she had befriended some pretty unsavory sorts since last year which just showed what an angel his little sister was... but honestly the Valentinos? "I mean.. Ma's baking is to die for but it's not quite good enough to kill for," Arthur joked as he watched Sophie's hands move to her middle, patting at her stomach. "Don't tell me Ma that I said that though, hey? Our little secret."
"I... I don't think you need to watch your weight, Sophie, you look proper fit to me," Arthur told the girl, rubbing the back of his neck as he forced his eyes up from her hands and to the correct place. Those eyes. "Do you... work out?"

ipping her head on one side, the brunette gave an expressive shrug. "I guess you're going to have to go back again," she offered, wondering as she did so why it was that the Hufflepuffs had to bear the moniker of being the stupid House when there were Gryffindors like this one wandering the halls. "I'm so sorry, Art... Can I call you Art?" It was so difficult to make a nickname out of Arthur, and she didn't much fancy calling him Excalibur. "Would you mind if I walked with you, though? I'm going that way." Well, she was going upstairs, anyway, though admittedly not with any particular urgency. There weren't a whole lot of other options.
"I can keep a secret," she agreed with a nod, tucking a stray lock of glossy hair back behind her ear. "Besides, I haven't seen your mother in ages..." On the platform at some point, she thought, but it was so difficult to remember these things. "Oh, you say the sweetest things..." With another radiant smile, she brushed her fingertips against his arm, holding his gaze for a moment. "No, I don't, actually, but I try to keep myself in shape. Do you think I succeed?"
