With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

As her first task in being captain for the team, Mavican needed to recruit new players since her old ones graduated or even dropped out because they were weak to begin with. Either way, she needed new ones because the season was starting and soon she had to face god knows who. The redhead was in the center of the pitch, looking at her possible recruits with careful glances because in the end she needed the best and the ones with the most potential. She licked her lips and checked the time before starting.
"Welcome, today we are going to recruit new players for our team. You will be playing every single position whether you will fill it or not and we will see if we can fit you in." Mavican started and looked around at her teammates and back at the recruits. The redhead smiled a bit and nodded. "Let's get started, whoever wants to go first step forward and let's get you started."

in some dreaming state
For the first time ever, Greta walked out onto the Hogwarts Quidditch pitch, oversized blue jersey on her shoulders and borrowed school broom in hand. She didn't own a broom--why would she ever have needed one, when she didn't go beyond her own yard? It hadn't been considered important when there were other things to be studied: spells and history and manners befitting pureblood children.
So the truth was that Greta had never played Quidditch in her life. All she'd done was borrow a school broom once during the first week, practicing on the lawns just to get a feel for what it was like. She knew about the sport in theory, but actually getting on the pitch was a completely foreign concept. Still, never let it be said that Greta Rowle would back down from at least trying. It wasn't her fault that she hadn't started at Hogwarts when she was eleven, but she wouldn't let it stop her from trying everything she could.
She glanced around at the small group assembled, recognizing the curly-haired boy from the feast, and gave him a little smile and wave. The broom in her hand was taller than she was, but she swung a leg over it anyway, taking a deep breath. The hoops were much higher than she'd anticipated, and she didn't think that taking a long fall right into the mud would feel particularly good. But there was no running away from the tryouts now.
"I'll go!" she told the captain, raising her hand. "Ah--but what should I do?"

Another year, another chance. So far Nicolas had been unable to join the Ravenclaw team because his nerves got the better of him. It wasn't his technique he was failing on, simply performing under pressure was a task. He'd been practicing whenever he could, trying new strategies and trying to predict people's moves. As long as he could keep his nerves under control, he might actually make it this time.
With a determined look on his face, Nico wagered over the field. His curls bounced with every step he took. Joining the group, he noticed he wasn't really standing out. There were some fourth years taller than him. Damn. Oh, there was that girl from the feast, the one with the soft and kind face. And she was smiling at him?! Nervously, Nico waved back and managed to get a smile on his face. Who knew? They might be teammates after today!
No matter how many times he saw people from the Ravenclaw team, he always was in awe to see them up close. Mavican, the captain that brought the house to victory last year was standing right before him, asking who wanted to go first. Nicolas started a debate in his head. Oh no he didn't want to go first, all eyes would be on him. But if he later the nerves might only build up further. Perhaps it was better to get it over with so he could breathe normally again. Just when he was going to raise his hand, the blonde girl went ahead. Nico watch with curiosity what they were going to do.
