With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Quirks and Habits: -Unlike his older brothers, Hugo thinks sleeping naked is weird, and he won’t do it. Clothes were made to be worn.
-He’s left-handed. He always hopes it gives him an advantage in sports, because nobody expects the ball to be thrown from the left side.
-He needs reading glasses, but he doesn’t like to wear them, because he’s afraid he will break them because they’re expensive. He only wears them when he really can’t do without them.
-His drawers contain a lot of half-finished projects, because he likes to try out a lot of hobbies, but he doesn’t always finish what he starts.

history
Hugo Benjamin Belanger is the youngest of the Belanger brothers, born 4 years after Rodrik as the result of an accidental pregnancy. But neither of his parents have any resentment towards him for that -- they kept him, so they love him all the same. He’s inherited all of his brothers’ spare things, and when Vaughn moved out, the spare space in the bedroom was devoted to Hugo’s needs (their mother plays favorites), and he teases Damian about moving out, too, as he needs space for the next project he’ll start (and eventually fail to finish).
In school, he quickly became friends with Sally Jordan, and Rue Howard, who, as turns out, is his cousin. When Rue disappeared the previous year, he was very distraught, but nothing could prepare him for what would happen next.
Even though Vaughn was 10 when Hugo was born, and spent most of his life away at Hogwarts, every summer Vaughn had to be the Mother Hen, so Hugo has a lot of fond memories of summertime with his brothers. After the summer’s tragic events, Hugo is grieving by repressing his emotions and tossing himself at every single new thing he can try out, even if some of them are no good for a 13 year old boy.
Roleplay Example:The Dark Arts theory class had been absolutely brilliant, and Lars couldn't think of anything else for the rest of the day. O'Connors DADA class felt like a joke to the Gryffindor now, and, as soon as class was out for the day, the boy was hurrying back to the fourth floor, hoping to catch the professor, before she left to wherever her lodgings were.
Thankfully, it looked like she'd held the previous class a little bit longer, as students were still pouring out of the room when Lars dashed into the corridor. He had to stifle a triumphant grin -- he didn't want to look like a fool before the professor. This was his chance!
As the last student hurried away, Lars knocked on the large wooden door and stepped inside, his back straight and face neutral, looking like he was here for a parade.
"Pani Dąbrowska?" he spoke, "I just wanted to say that your lesson was absolutely brilliant. In my years here I've not encountered even one professor who would be so professional and passionate for their subject. I didn't ever think I'd get a chance to be in one of your classes again, but... I'm so glad I can."
