With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Being back at Hogwarts wasn't as much of the same as one would like to think. For example, Clary was a bit ill when she arrived and didn't attend the feast but was quite surprised, maybe a bit too surprised, to see new people she never saw in her life before join them in the dorms. Honestly she was super duper happy to have new people around if only she was able to greet them properly when they first got here. Nonetheless, today she was going to greet anyone she forgot to when they arrived.
"Kitty! There are new people we got to meet!" she said in a sing song voice as she left the bathroom after a nice shower and was fixing her outfit up as she did so. "There are so many of them! Do you think they will like hugs? They are so cool looking with their own uniforms." she said and headed for her bed to grab her switch and lit it up to check on her game progress. "Ugh my villagers are fighting, again! Why do people fight over nothing?" she whined and tossed the switch in her bag.

itty was obviously super incredibly amazingly wonderfully excited to be back at Hogwarts and seeing all her friends again and being back in the dormitories with all the girls that she'd come to know so well over the years, but there was a note of worry involved this time. Naturally, she was really happy to have all the Durmstrang students staying; it must be awful to have to leave the castle that you'd been studying in for so many years and go somewhere that you'd never been before, so obviously it was her job as a nice person- and now as a prefect, which was one of the most exciting things she could remember happening in a very long time!- to make them feel welcome, but all the same... There were certain facts about herself which it had taken Kitty a great deal of work to explain to the girls with whom she had been sharing a dormitory for the past four years; the idea of explaining it all to a group of total strangers from Durmstrang, which did, after all, have a bit of a reputation... it was not an easy concept to work with.
"I know, I know!" she exclaimed in response to the barrage of sound which met her ears as she entered the dorm. "But I need a shower and I need to change; it took me ages to show the first years their rooms..."

Whenever frustration took over Clary's common sense, like saying a video game is just a video game, the girl needed to think of something else, something better. Clary watched her friend with a smile plastered on her face because the sight of Kitty always made her smile. They would get new girls in their dorms and Clary was so proud to see her best friend become a prefect just like her little sister had. Clary hopped off her bed and grabbed some shower gel she brought from home and handed it to Kitty.
"Use this! My mum bought it and it smells delicious!" she exclaimed and clapped her hands together. "I even made a welcome sign on the beds of the new girls that will join us! My bed is obviously right next to yours again." Clary knew Kitty had certain problems and she was always the one to come to the rescue of her friend whenever she was experiencing said problems. The new kids better not make fun of them, Clary was a lot feistier than she let on.

opping the lid off the container that her friend handed to her, Kitty inhaled deeply, taking in the scent. "Mmm... That's amazing!" she exclaimed, carefully replacing the lid- she'd managed to squirt some delightful-smelling substance all over the room more often than she cared to remember, and while it might smell nice to begin with, when everything still smelled of it three weeks later, it definitely started to get a little tiresome. "Thank you!" She made a mental note to offer Clary some of her new perfume later- Kitty didn't tend to wear it often herself, but she thought it was lovely, and if other people could get some use out of it, then why shouldn't she let them?
"Summer was great! Obviously, I missed you loads," she blew the other girl a kiss, "but I had a lot of fun, and the weather was great! How about you? The first years seem really nice too- they're a bit shy obviously because it's only their first day but I told them they could ask me any questions they had and they seemed pretty friendly!"

Clary watched Kitty with a smile. She never minded sharing her things with her friends. The girl ran a hand through her hair, her eyes on her friend still and nodded when she listened to her. "Of course! It's my favorite really!" she said and clapped her hands to support her excitement. The girl had been hanging out with her siblings all summer and she was so excited to spend time with friends now rather than her siblings being nosy, whiny or actually happy when they were swimming.
"I missed you too!" she exclaimed and gasped when she watched Kitty blow a kiss, catching it with her hand before putting it on her chest and fall backwards on her bed dramatically. "I had fun too! My mum made all kinds of pastries, we went swimming a lot and my brother the police officer was super badass and took me on a ride along." She rambled and grinned.
"There was this guy who tried to rob a lady, then he tripped and hit his face against a lamppost. It was like a scene from a comedy show!"

umming under her breath, Kitty replaced the lid on the bottle and laid it down carefully on the bed next to her, making sure not to lean on it- exploding bottles were always a bad idea. "I bet it is!" she agreed happily, flopping across the bed and reaching underneath it for her bag. She rummaged through various things for the moment before producing a large bottle of perfume and holding it out towards her roommate. "Here, try this! It's really nice, but it reminds me of you- it's definitely more you than it is me."
"Ah, but I missed you more," she countered with a giggle. "That sounds really fun, actually! I wish I had a cool brother." Kitty did not, in point of fact, have a cool anything so far as she was concerned, but that was fine- she loved her family dearly, and though she wasn't so close to all of them as she could wish, she still greatly enjoyed each and every moment that she spent with them, just as much as she did her time with her friends.
