With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Do you ever have that feeling where a song is so stuck into your mind it can't be let go off? Rae's been having that feeling all day it seemed and was humming the same weird song as she walked back to the Hufflepuff dorms. The brunette whistled the tune once she reached the barrels and drummed the wrong beat. "Dangnabbit." she mumbled before drumming the right one and entering the common room. "Dam dam dam dadadam dadadam." she sang in a low tune before spotting her friend in the common room.
Rae grabbed a pastry from the table before flopping down on the couch, taking a bite from it. "Gosh these are so delicious." she said with her mouth full of pastry, charming as always. Rae looked at Veronica, cocking her head a little and made sure her mouth was empty before speaking again. "What's up Roni? Had a good day I hope?" she asked with her always curious expression. Sure Rae was known as a gossip but she was good at keeping secrets when it came down to her friends, she wouldn't gossip about them, others on the other hand. Yes she would.
"I had a fabulous day apart from having the same tune stuck in my head. Really what is so fantastic about Star Wars? My cousin couldn't stop singing about it." she said with a overly dramatic tone to her voice before taking another bite from the pastry. Food really does solve all the world's problems, or at least Rae's problems.

but the loneliness never left me
Veronica had a habit of keeping to herself. She still had some friends, of course, but she wasn't exactly outgoing. She was the defintion of a wall flower. Still, she thought she knew her classmates pretty well. She sketched some of them, but it was never in a creepy way where she had pages and pages of the same people's faces. Normally if she saw one of her peers reading or sitting in an interesting position she'd sketch them. Most of the time her life sketches didn't really have facial features. The poses were more important and sometimes she'd put in facial features.
She was in the process of sketching a first year who was writing an essay in front of the fire when she felt someone sit down next to her. "I'll take your word for it," Veronica said. She didn't have much of a sweet tooth, probably because when she was growing up she didn't really get many sweets. Shrugging, she said, "It's alright, I guess," Veronica answered. In truth, she would have said it was alright even if it wasn't. "How about you?"
Veronica had to smile at the mention of Star Wars. She loved Star Wars. Watching Star Wars and playing at being Princess Leia was one of the few memories with her birth mother that she actually liked. She'd seen all of the Star Wars and loved them all. She was, admittedly, a bit of a snob and only liked the prequels because of young Obi Wan, but that didn't make her love Star Wars any less. "Star Wars happens to be amazing for several reasons. The most prominent of those reasons being Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, and Adam Driver. I swear I would climb that man like a tree."
