With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?

It was early January and Scarlett had just returned to Hogwarts from a very eventful two weeks with her boyfriend. In these two weeks she spoke to half the pack there about her health, the child she was carrying with her and the possibilities for her future which sadly they didn't seem to understand should not include her parents. Her mother would cast her away like she never existed and her father? Her father would have her killed because that is what happens to children in her family who don't obey and do what is expected of them.
Her family was very old fashioned and heirs were not to be produced until after marriage which Scarlett felt too young for. She didn't agree with his terms for arranged marriage because she didn't want a part of the business but she still carried the name and she still carried the responsibilities coming with that name. Yet, as she had woken up from a nice nap she did not expect to be summoned so quickly to the office of the deputy headmaster. She had no clue what Jack wanted from her and though she knew he was close to Teddy, she hoped to god it wasn't about that.
The brunette held her head high, the spell covering up her body's conditions nicely as she walked towards his office and knocked twice before walking in. "Hello Professor." she said trying to be as calm and collected as she can be. She had millions of thoughts running through her mind and most of them were fearful thoughts about either her family, brother or the child. She didn't even know whether the child was a boy or a girl, to her it was just.. an it right now.

Ever since receiving the letter from Teddy, albeit a very drunken one, Jack had been gearing up for not his first but his second talk to a pregnant student this year. Just like the last one, he had prepared himself for plenty of dramatics because that was just... always how these little chat seemed to go.
"Come in," Jack called at the knock, his eyes skimming Scarlett as she walked through his door. Assessing her for a moment, Jack decided the best course of action was to just rip the bandaid off. "I know what's going on, Scarlett, I know you're pregnant, and I've informed the rest of the staff. It's crucial that they know in order to keep you and your unborn child in best possible condition possible."
Bracing his hands in front of him, Jack was calm when he spoke next. "Now, since you are 18 years of age, I am not obligated to tell your parents however you will need to look over some paperwork regarding your pregnancy. I'm assuming your parents don't know and you need to appoint an emergency contact just in case. It's better to do that now," he said, before pausing and shaking his head. "It can't be Teddy either. If you get sent to the hospital wing, then he won't be allowed on the premises. It needs to be someone else, over the age of eighteen, who you trust to make judgement calls when you cannot."

There had been a spark of hope that Jack didn't know that she was pregnant. She wasn't that far along, barely two months in and she was able to cover everything up to a point that there was nothing to be worried about except some flu symptoms she could blame for it all. Scarlett was beyond anything doing just fine and yet the moment she sat down, the office door had closed and her eyes met the serious expression of the deputy headmaster. His words hit her like a bomb.
He knew. He fucking knew and now she was going to be killed before even graduation was in bloody sight. She knew Teddy was going to tell someone she just didn't think it was this soon and would affect her the way it is now. She was beyond angry and her dark eyes even seemed darker now. Her hands had turned into fists, clinging onto the material of her shirt. The panic rushing through her mind was beyond compare and now she was seated here, not really having anywhere to go. Scarlett wasn't one to run but she was one to be vicious and if she had to, she would take anyone down with her.
"I assume Teddy have written you about this." she said, her voice calm though her blood was slightly boiling. "I will attend the matron on a regular basis." she said though she really did not want to do so. Her anger faded slightly when Jack said he was not obligated to tell her parents, which means they were not going to be told. The brunette let out a small sigh, relief perhaps, and arched her perfectly shaped brow to his comment about an emergency contact.
"Jace Evans, he is one of my close friends. Recently graduated." she said softly. He was one of the few people she could trust with that age. He was ninteen, had a steady job and though she wished he was here right now, he wasn't. "He works at Madam Malkins." she wasn't sure if Jack knew about that. "Do I need to sign anything for it?" her voice was still calm though she hated to go to Jace and tell him that he was now her emergency contact. He didn't even know she was pregnant.
"I'm neither going to confirm or deny that's where the information come from, but the important thing is that I know, as do the rest of the staff," Jack stated simply, shaking his head. The truth was, he had found out from Teddy but he wasn't about to get the young man into trouble nor did he want to involve himself with relationship squabbles. He had other, more important things to focus on. "I just wish that you would have informed us yourself, instead of deciding to conceal your current state." He understood that she was a teenager, it was a scary thing to be dealing with, but if she was to bear a child then she needed to be responsible and put the child first. Hiding it was not doing that because what if something had gone terribly wrong? The healers first course of action would to be save her first, because they'd have no clue she was with child. "The matron wants to see you after this, to make sure that everything is on track."
Jack remembered Jace Evans - he was a nice kid, one that would have Scarlett's best interests in mind, and he nodded. "Does he know that you're pregnant? If you're listing him as an emergency contact, then you need to inform him and promptly. Trust me, he'd want to hear this from you," he said seriously, pushing over a few sheets of parchment that had the appropriate forms as well as an ink pot and quill. "You need to sign these forms, and I believe it would be in your best interest if you signed a form also saying that you wish to be continue your education - if that's what you intend to do, of course." He'd gathered that she wanted to complete her N.E.W.T.s but it was always best to check.
