With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

The year was coming to an end as Spring was on the verge of turning to summer. June was only one month away and Kaylie wasn't feeling ready for it. Her grades were just above average and everything inside of her wasn't ready for the moment she'd come home to her mother. For a while now she held onto the letters that told her basically that she was not going to see the light of day again, many times she survived her mother's rage but something inside of her told her this time she wouldn't. Kaylie had to tell her girlfriend about it, she couldn't just keep it to herself.
The blonde spun the latest letter between her fingers, it arrived this morning. When she took it from her owl she could almost sense the content of the letter and she had to read it in private, away from prying eyes.
Kaylie,
Your room has been cleaned out, your possessions have been sold. I would ask how you're doing in school but we both know you don't have the intelligence to continue any longer. This summer I will do you a favor, I promise. Our fights have to end and I know how to end it without much hassle. Just wait and see, we will both find peace.
Mom.
Kaylie wasn't as stupid as her mother thought she was, she saw through the fake kindness, the threats behind her words. Kaylie had red lines along her eyes that could have been mistaken for tears but which were obviously not from tears because she didn't cry. (Yes she did.) Her blonde hair was a bit messy from running her hands through it, it was a way of keeping her hands busy but also because she was frustrated and not at all sure what else to do with herself. Every single second she was sitting here she was getting more frustrated with herself.
Her hand reached for the flask that she usually had with her but when she found out her leather jacket's pocket was empty she let out a whine. "Dammit!" she hissed and hit the grass beside her. Like it had any use hitting the grass. There were tears threatening to escape again and she hated it, god did she hate it. Kaylie noticed movement not far from her and wiped her eyes, letting out a deep sigh and breathing in the fresh air. "Damn allergies." she grumbled, yes she was going to fake having allergies for spring.
"Hey gorgeous, looking beautiful as ever." she said in a greeting to her girlfriend. "How are you on this beautiful day in the shade of our favorite tree?"

Of all the things that Alana missed the most about life it had to be warm rays of the sun on her skin. It would quickly turn to a sun-kissed tan that would separate her from the pasty white school mates and show off the Italian inside. It is for this reason that Alana was dressed in a mere white tank top (designer, of course) dress that fell just inches beneath where her tight buttocks joined her shapely thighs. She enjoyed showing off her body on a weekend, a white gold chain decorating her ankle and glinted in the very same sunlight that the vampire should be avoiding.
After she left the pathway, Alana even kicked off her expensive sandals and cast a shrinking charm upon them before she tucked them into a secret pocket sewn into the hem of her white dress. The Ravenclaw loved the feeling of the warm grass between her toes and even stopped for a moment to enjoy a pair of butterflies that flitted past her. Her dark eyes followed them until the sun shone directly into her eyes and it caused her to hiss in pain and scrunch her eyes tight.
A moment later, she heard the very familiar voice of her girlfriend and she turned in that direction on her heels. "Thank you - I wish I could say the same for you, but I am no liar," Alana said as she looked Kaylie up and down, her gaze resting on the troubled face that Kaylie appeared to be attempting to hide. It was an awful attempt, considering Alana was observant and knew her girlfriend inside and out. "I am enjoying the warmer weather, I'll admit. I already feel thirsty though and I only left the cover of the Castle a quarter hour ago. How are you today? What's the matter?"

Kaylie was well aware about how observant her girlfriend could be and how that influenced her. Kaylie was also aware she was not the best at hiding her feelings because she never really cared to hide them before now. She never cared about much until now. She always had taken life for granted because every single day can be her last and though Kaylie still firmly believed that was the case, the realization her mother gave her made it even more crazy than it already was.
"Why thank you, I appreciate the honesty." she told Alana with a small smirk. Kaylie was glad at least her girlfriend could be honest with her and admit she looked like shit. The blonde let out a small breath, her blue eyes looking at her girlfriend before looking back at the letter she received. She had to tell her, Alana deserved to know and Kaylie trusted whatever judgment would come from it. They went through a lot together, Kaylie could only imagine it could get better. "I'm peachy love, can't complain." she said and hummed. "The weater is great isn't it? If you need a snack, I am sadly not buzzed enough but feel free to have at it." she told her girlfriend with a smile.
"Well I suppose the best way to tell is to show you." she said and held the letter out, the letter she had read so many times over and over again. Kaylie once more ran a hand through her hair, something she's done several times but didn't care about. Alana was soon going to find out just how far her mother goes to make a statement, how far her mother goes to make a point. What was Kaylie supposed to do about it out here? It was just her.. not knowing what to do or say.
"I need to fix this shitty look I got going though, it's not as much edgy as it is homeless."
