With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
It was now Bens lunch break, instead of eating in his office like the loner was now known to be. He decided to grab his lunch to go from the great hall, Classes has been strenuous, but he had slept last night so there was that bonus. He was wearing a grey shirt, black boots and grey over coat. The staff room was preety empty, so it was now just waiting for the rest of the faculty to arrive. He grabbed a mug and made himself a cup of tea as he placed his Sandwich on the side as finished off his tea.
Walking over to the chair he placed his sandwich in his lap as the daily prophet rested in his other hand, still trying to find any lead as to where Spencer had gone.Even though it had been two years since his brother had disapeered ben still held out hope that one day he would be found save and sound living in some obscure location in russsia.
As he flipped through the pages he ate his sandwich, he could hear the hallway outside filling with noise, it was on days like this he appreciated working outside in the greenhouses. Constant quiet, sometiems though he needed to come back into the real world where noise still existed “Oh damn forgot my cup of tea” He said going back over to the kettle to pick up his mug taking a swig as he sat back down and started flipping through the paper once more.

Fleur saw the last of the students out of her classroom with a dazzling smile and pulled the door firmly closed behind her, taking the heavy key from her pocket and locking it. She'd been victim to one or two interesting surprises left for her by enterprising students in the time since she'd first arrived at the school- enough to make her quite sure that she didn't want to allow the same fate to befall her again.
Eating in the Great Hall was such a ritual for her that her feet began taking her in that direction without conscious interference, and the French witch had to firmly redirect herself to the staff room. She'd had lunch in a free period earlier, and fully intended to spend the time in catching up on some of the marking which was, as always, threatening to overwhelm her and submerge her entire office in parchment. A stack of the stuff floated sedately along behind her, leaving her with her hands free to push open the door and find herself a comfortable chair close to a little table. Nodding politely to the Herbology professor, she settled herself comfortably and, after a little rummaging, produced a bottle of ink and a quill. Unfortunately, the same rummaging also unearthed that day's copy of Le Cri de la Gargouille, and the blonde sighed to herself. Such a terrible temptation...
