With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Sebastian is also alert, with stiff shoulders and a quick surveillance in every room he enters. This often is attributed to his auror training, and isn't something he has to think about. He often talks to himself, although this is a fairly recent development that has formed over the hours of reading and marking essays. He tends to smile at people in greeting, but his neutral face can seem quite stern. His anger is very cold and measured, there is little chance he will do something unpredictable. A coffee cup can always be found in his hand.
Likes: coffee, transfiguration, jogging, tennis, cats Dislikes: werewolves, vampires, dark wizards, keeping plants alive, Boggart: Werewolves, with his Auror friends ripped in two around him. Mirror of Erised: A figure beside him, holding hands with two children in front. A family of his own. Patronus: African Wild Dog
HISTORY
HISTORY 1997: A staff member from Hogwarts reaches out to the Samuels family to inform them of Sebastian's magic. Seb is absolutely thrilled and spends the entire trip to Diagon Alley trying to fit as much information in about Hogwarts and the Wizarding World as he can. He attempts to convince his parents to allow him to buy the entire bookstore, and fails spectacularly. He then spends the rest of his summer cramming for the school year ahead. It was no shock when he was sorted into Ravenclaw.
1998: After the death of the Headmaster, Sebastian is nervous to return to Hogwarts for his second year. A Ravenclaw prefect contacts Sebastian and the message is clear that Hogwarts is no longer safe for him. He contacts another of his muggleborn friends and they decide to stick to the muggle world, waiting for any hint that Death Eaters were near.
1999: Sebastian can finally return to Hogwarts and he has to redo his second year. There is a certain relief in the air as restoration to the wizarding community begins. He knuckles down and studies very hard, earning the praise of his teachers.
2005: Sebastian finally graduates, and meets a Transfiguration Master from America. The two hit it off and he travels oversees to get his mastery.
2008: Sebastian returns to Britain and joins the Aurors. Due to his Transfiguration Mastery, he is able to finish his training early. He receives a lot of jokes about being a Ravenclaw, but life is good. He makes good friends in the Aurors and looks forward to work.
2016: Sebastian is one of the Aurors called the bloody scene at Hogwarts. It isn't the deciding factor for a career change, but it reminds him of how dangerous it can be as a kid at Hogwarts. He steps down from his Auror position once the case was resolved and applies to for the vacant Transfiguration professor position.

Sebastian's gait was leisurely as he approached Hog's Head, but he firmly fixed his eyes on the ground. He needed a good pint, or seven. It was a little warm, so he only had a thin jacket on top of his long sleeved shirt. He'd been home since finishing work but he was still feeling quite flustered. They were still lacking in quite a few positions in the ministry, ones that he hoped some graduating students could fill, which meant he was having to go out of his way to complete work that wasn't even his own. It left him a little frazzled but he had the whole weekend ahead of him. It wouldn't be work free, of course, but most of his students were in exam mode. He would be in for a tonne of long term work over the next few months as parents desperately tried to get their kids up to scratch for the next year. Sebastian liked to think he was a good tutor, but he wasn't a miracle worker like they expected him to be.
The ministry worker pushed the heavy door open, his eyes narrowing down to the bar. He thought a good drink was in order, a celebration of the end of the week. He hoped it would keep his stress levels down at least a little. He felt a little pathetic going drinking alone, but all of his friends were busy with their families or work. As he waited for his drink, his eyes wandered over the bodies in the pub, widening a little as he saw a miserable Graham Avery. He accepted the drink, pulling his gaze away from the older man for a few moments. It was ridiculous, but Seb felt like he had to go make sure the man was okay. He approached slowly, trying to rationalise to himself why this wasn't a good idea. He wasn't even good friends with the other man! All it took was a good look at Graham when closer, and his heart sunk. Sebastian slid into the seat opposite the man, his face tight with worry. "Graham, are you alright?" He asked softly, pulling his drink closer to him.
