With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?

most people assume that Veronica just...doesn't get angry. That's not true. Her temper is like a pressure cooker and it'll just keep taking on steam until she eventually explodes. if you see her explode, or about to explode, do not engage.
Veronica is the nicest person ever...until she's not. If you mess with someone she cares about she will make you regret it. Sometimes her revenge is sudden and hard, but other times it's patient.

To say that Veronica has had a rough life would be a bit of an understatement. She never met her father. For most of her life it was only her and her mum. Every now and then there was a new man, but it didn't take long for them to cycle out. They left. Veronica stayed. Even when she was little she knew that something wasn't quite...right with her mother. From a young age she knew she couldn't count on her mother. It wasn't until she was older that she realized her mother was bipolar and addicted to pain medication.
Veronica was about nine when she started to develop signs of magic. She tried to hide it, but despite her best efforts, Veronica's mother found out about it. having been raised by a devout Catholic, Veronica's mother had come to the conclusion that her daughter was possessed by the devil.
Her time at Sweet Mercies was the worst time of her young life. She was there for three weeks, all that time spent tied to her bed and forbidden to leave her room. They didn't let her leave even when they gave her the news that her mother had overdosed. She was frequently visited by Father Noble. He came to see her in the night, mostly. She tries to look back on her time with him like a bad dream.
Finally, she was found by the wizarding community and they explained to her that she was a witch. She's been through a lot of therapy and she still had trouble opening up to new people, even her new family, but it's a process and she'd taking it on one day at a time.
Colwynn perked up and moved her bag off the seat beside her when Agnes sat beside her. "Fine by me. This class is turning into a circus if you ask me." Even though everyone had an opinion, including Colwynn, that didn't mean she thought this was the time or the place. Colwynn wasn't as ignorant of the situation as she claimed to be. She heard gossip as much as anyone, but what she didn't understand was why no one was putting the boy in the situation on trial. Even so, she didn't want to get involved any more than she already had.
She was about to tell Gabriel Avery to go and fuck himself and then consult with Aggy about which hex she should put on him. There was always the option of waiting until after class, but this history lesson was already a train wreck, and the worst that she would get would be a reprimand and detention, but it would have been worth it. She didn't even care that much about the second-rate insults, but there was simply something about Gabriel Avery that made her want to punch him in the nose.
Before she could, however, Josh was already jumping to her defense. She appreciated the sentiment, but she wasn't a defenseless damsel in distress, and, to be frank, she couldn't help but feel embarrassed. Colwynn looked at Aggy, her eyes screaming out her discomfort. Aggy, however, seemed keen on "Josh, just drop it. People can call me a yank all they fucking want because I'm a fucking yank. Seriously, I couldn't give a shit." She turned to Gabriel Avery at this point and added, "As for you, the second that I give a shit about your opinion-"
Then the air horn went off. Having grown up with her father meant she lived upstairs from a bar, went to concerts frequently, and was accustomed to loud noises. Frankly, the fact that she hadn't experienced permanent hearing loss was a miracle, but that was beside the point. This class was already a train wreck, but someone had taken it upon themselves to make everything a complete and total circus. Her hands were shaking and it was hard for her to tell who was more angry - her or professor O'keefe.
When the parchment appeared on Colwynn's desk she snatched it up and slipped it into her bag as she stood up. "I'm sorry, professor. I'm not taking responsibility for...this, as I didn't do it, but if you want me to stay here until the end of class it'll be over my dead body," she said. "If you have to take points from my house or give me detention or something that's fine, do what you have to do, but there's no way in hell I'm staying here. This whole situation is a joke and I'm done." With that she left, not looking back as she stormed out. She had to fight the urge to leave with a speech, telling everyone that they were assholes and they could all go and get intimate with a Judas cradle, but she held her peace and stormed away toward the library. She fully intended to do her homework and turn it in before going to her next class, but she might go into a homicidal rage if she'd stayed in that classroom any long. She had to admit, she felt really badly for her professor. It must have been like herding cats in there.
