With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Rosa had lost count of how many times she reread that damn letter from her mother. The trophy wife trying to tell her that she would submit? What? And using what her father did as a way of scareing her into submission? Yes, she was terrified of her father and even her mother had some qualities that made her incredibly dangerous, but she wouldn't give her the satisfaction of knowing her fears.
Giving her that would have only given her mother the real power in this world-- knowledge. If you knew the right button to push or the right secret to whisper, then even the most powerful would second-guess their decisions. She didn't know what exactly her parents were playing at just yet, but she was certain she'd find out soon enough... If it was part of her mother's design in any way she expected the truth would come out quite dramatically.
She sat comfortably in front of a fire on a plush, ornate sofa with her legs rest up on the cushions. She looked over the letter one last time before folding it and tossing it into the the fire with a roll of her eyes. She had enough to deal with... Family matters could wait a night.
Ollie had a long morning but before she went back to her dorm she really needed to study and lately her friends made her unable to do such a thing. They talked a lot about boys and... sex and she needed a break from that. The girl just wanted to relax and knew the perfect spot to do so. The room of requirement was a good place to relax whenever she passed it by by accident. This time she went there on purpose because she had no clue what else she was going to do.
As soon as she did what she had to, she walked into the room noticing there was already someone there. Maybe they needed the same thing? Ollie moved closer and noticed it was Rosa. She was such a sweet girl but lately she seemed different, like something really bugged her. The girl bit her lip and just gave Rosa a smile. "Hey! Are you alright?" she asked as she sat down beside her and tucked her legs in a bit. She liked this room, it was quite comfortable. "I hope I am not disturbing you, I just needed a place to relax as well." she admitted.

"Liv, " She greeted in a soft coo, moving over and kissing her friend to each cheek. She didn't often gravitate towards to sweet and innocent, but if making friends with Junaid taught her anything, it was that she may have needed more sensitive people around her to help keep her natural bitchiness in check. "No, no. I'm fine. Just getting rid of somethings I didn't need. Garbage, really, " Her mother's attitude equated to as much, so she let it be with that. She didn't know what the woman was trying to stir, but she'd be damned if she was going to cry over that woman. She lost that level of emotion to her mother's bullshit a long time ago. Her father however? He still knew what to do to shatter her. Honestly, she wasn't even sure he did it intentionally.
She made room on the couch, gesturing for her to take a seat calmly, leaning her head against her palm as she looked at the other girl, " Honestly, I welcome the distraction, " Between her mother, father, Felix... everything... She needed a proper distraction. "It was from my mother-- so no, not particularly, " She replied, " She's a stone cold bitch... which is probably saying something, " Ironic coming from her, " How are you doing?" She asked calmly, direction the conversation on her.
Rosalia was such a sweet person and honestly the girl never understood why some people hated her so much. Sure Rosalia could be a little mean to people which she had learned was also something her boyfriend tended to do but she was not really worried about it much. They were kind to her and she would always tell them to be kind to the people she loves. With her blue eyes on the fire she listened to Rosalia speak about her getting rid of stuff she didn't need. "Well glad the things you don't need are flammable." she responded with a bright smile of her own.
"A distraction? why? you seem so sad. Why are you sad? Do you need a hug?" Ollie felt so bad whenever her friends were sad and Rosalia seemed more sad than anything else. She used to be so strong looking and fierce but instead Ollie caught her wiping tears and shut down. Ollie had seen her siblings act like that, whenever they went through something bad. Her brother being a police officer went through lots of crazy things and she never really asked because he seemed so sad about those things.
"Your mum isn't nice to you? That's not good." Ollie's mother was so sweet to her, always sent her brownies and baked goods. Ollie looked at Rosalia and shrugged. "I'm doing fine! I just wanted somewhere to sit. My friends keep talking about sex and I don't like it much." she admitted and bit her lip.

she wasn't generally a hugger-- not unless meant she was going to get some sort of gratification in the end. But, she was one of the few people that Rosa actually liked. She gave a small, accepting nod to the girl. "Eh, most things are flammable if you try hard enough, " Of course, she was messing with Olivia but she waited a moment before she letting her know it with a small smirk. She adjusted on the sofa, letting out a small sigh.
"Yeah, she's a bitch, " She remarked, looking over at her bag and pulling out a small flask. She could use a drink, for sure. She removed the cap, downing 5he harsh liquid without a second thought. She directed the container at Olivia, offering her a drink. When she heard her complain about the sex talk she almost snorted a bit... almost. Not because she was laughing at her, because she was the option if she hated hearing about anything sexual was talking to Rosa? That seemed counter productive. But, she was her friend, so she kept it mostly rainbows and chastity belts.
"Did you tell them you were uncomfortable?" She asked simply.
Ollie knew she must have sounded silly saying she didn't like the talking about sex but it wasn't like she didn't mind them talking about their sex life, it's when they mention hers like she was a five year old, that's when the pain stung her a bit. Sure she was patient and not humping the first boy she liked but that's because she didn't feel like it was necessary to sleep with every pretty face. What was the point to it? Did she need to keep a list or something? Was there some game she didn't know how to play?
"Oh it's not like I am not comfortable with them talking about theirs, it's just not fun when they try to pry into mine when I really am just.. not like that." she had no idea how to explain it else as there was simply nothing else to it. She didn't feel the need to have sex and that was that. The whole thing seemed pointless in a way and Ollie really didn't like doing something pointless. Ollie eyed the flask and wondered why Rosa needed that, the smell of alcohol had hit her nose and Ollie figured she just needed to feel a bit numb.
Ollie didn't like alcohol, she honestly thought it was a waste of your liver on a way too young age. "Did you tell your mother you're not comfortable with the way she's treating you?" she asked Rosa with a small smile. "I know your mother isn't like mine but I do believe she loves you.."

"Fair enough, " She said simply, " There's nothing wrong with not being ready or not wanting to go into detail about your sex life-- or even not having one at all," She remarked, swirling the liquid around in the flask a bit." Many people believed Rosa was a whore the way she ran about and the way she and always spoke and acted publicly with her best friend, but honestly, she and Grey were both quite picky. She loved fierce personalities that challenged her, but could in equal measure adore her. She had that with Felix for a while, she would always have that in her friendship with Grey-- honestly, as shitty as her year was, she at least had a handful of people that cared about her despite being a prickly bitch.
"Im a painful reminder I I my mother whether she loves me or not. She resents me, and at that point you may as well not love me at all, " She remarked in a cold tone. She loved her mom, but in equal measure couldn't stand her most days. She spoiled her to manipulate her or she threatened her to keep her in line. Even if she loved her, she may as well have felt nothing at all with the way she treated her.
"I had real love for someone. I've always known I love Grey in our own strange and complex way but... At least I've learned what I want from love whether it's my family or romantically or whatever..." She knew her family was toxic to her and honestly? She didnt know what that was going to mean for her future with them.
