With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
This was the one place Shay can be herself and be alone - sure, she hates being alone but that day she needed to be left alone. Seated in the corner, Shay had a bottle of some substance beside her and was working on a tiny comic for her brother who wanted a new one. The female didn’t blame him, knowing that he probably read through the last one she had written last week within an hour. It amused the girl but she wasn’t fully museful. Yet, there she was, forcing something out so her brothers have some sort of entertainment. They both shared, something that Shay was thankful for because she wasn’t going to make a copy of her comics.
The female sighed when she grabbed the bottle beside her, untwisting the cap and groaned at the bitter taste before she looked toward the stairs of the Astronomy Tower. Her eyebrows raised as she stared at the stairs, hearing a noise or two. At first she thought it was a rat or something but knew the chances were slim.
But no, it was a human and she was not about to be caught with booze. The female had placed a cap on the bottle tightly before tucking it inside her sweatshirt as someone approached. ”Oh, Merlin’s.” she hissed, looking at the redhead and sighed. ”Thought you were a prefect or professor…”
Mavican didn't like Astronomy much but she had spent some time in the tower earlier today and completely forgot her sweatshirt which was the most comfortable thing in the world to her at this very moment. Because of it being that comfortable, Mavican had waited till her closses were over and after failing sleep to go upstairs to the astronomy tower and get her shirt back. If anything she might be interrupting a class. The nights at the tower were the most popular for obvious reason and Mavican had no clue if there was a class scheduled but if there was she'd just explain her situation and get out.
How hard could it be right? So the redhead started walking up to the tower and through the door when she heard a voice, it was like she was even barely in there when she noticed Shay and Shay noticed her. "High alert much?" she asked her friend with a frown before closing the classroom door behind her. Well at least she wasn't interrupting a class. "Relax. I just came for my sweater. Honestly sometimes I wonder what you're up to that requires interventions." she hummed and grabbed her sweater from the chair.
"You should be lucky the Astronomy prof didn't catch you though I heard he is quite a boring sod." she said with a chuckle. "What's up?"
