With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?

Paolo's a deadly man and the head of one of the most well-known Italian wizarding mob families. Known for their pure blood line and questionable wealth, they've survived the centuries by keeping their inner circles tight knit and ensuring the loose-lipped permanently stayed silent. Over last Christmas break, he killed one of his men with a knife rather graphically in front of Rosa in a fit of rage as he came undone over whispers of a traitor amongranks... A man that Rosa had called her 'uncle.' He has tried to shower his daughter with gifts, but he knows it isn't working. His next strategy is rather cruel, instead choosing a young man as his heir to marry her in the hopes he can help keep Rosa from leaving by any means necessary.
Gabriela 'nee Fontes' Capone is a fiery and feminine woman that runs the house in an orderly, and admittedly, old-fasion way. She is incredibly purist (more so than her husband) and often treats the non-pure that work for the family as less-than human and completely disposable-- And given the power her husband has, few have the nerve to argue it. She works hard to mold her into proper, captivating woman to bring in a proper young heir to take over the Family "business". She'll accept nothing less than the most ruthless, beautiful, and well-bred for her. Besties with Astoria Malfoy and Valentia Vitale (until she finds out what a snake she is).
Despite the fact he's his brother's senior, he was not left in charge when he and Paolo's father passed. Given his brother's blindness and medical issues, it was seen as the wisest choice. In fact, Giovanni insisted on it. Instead, he offers council where he deems necessary and organises. He's incredibly intelligent making him the go-to call when there's a mess that needs cleaned up. He always has 'a guy' a phone call away. He's incredibly supportive of every decision, even if he doesn't necessarily agree with his brother's verdict every single time-- but heavy is the crown, he always says. He trusts it's always right for the family and the business. He is quite fond of his niece Rosa.
Valentina Vitale is Gabriela's "best friend", and was appointed as Rosa's godmother. However, she secretly has a seething anger that she was over-looked by Paolo in their youth. She feels a sense of entitlement and has been planning a way to weed out Gabby for years. She's a Black Widow that's killed off several husbands that were skillfully covered as coincidental accidents. She's building wealth to prove her worth (though she is flashy and loves to spend-- which poses an issue). She's slept with Paolo once before his engagement to Gabby, and has subtly hinted to him that it could happen again. Just a heads up on plotting, with her disloyalty and plans to kill Rosalia's mother, when the truth comes out Rosa will either A) kill her or B) Attempt and come very close before Valentina escapes.
Salvatore 'Sal' Vitale has been Paolo's best friend since they were in nappy's. He would do anything for him and the family... Except for his literal family. He knows his little sister too well to truly trust her, and is quite honestly just waiting for the day she fucks up and everyone sees the truth. He's confided suspicious with Paolo, but to be honest, Paolo doesn't see Sal's sister's issues as anything more than a woman fantasizing. He's a wonderful uncle to Rosa. He spoils the hell out of her and insisted when her father had her learn to fight that he do it himself. They have an incredible bond. In future plots, he will assist when Rosalia attempts to kill (or succeeds at killing) his traitorous sister.
Paolo and Gabriela plan to betroth her after the incident last Christmas as a ploy to keep her under control. Whoever takes this role (can be existing or new) will need to understand that this is a ride or die mob setting and they 1000% plan on implementing her father's will on Rosa. He will become the head of the family once her father passes. They're very picky, so they won't allow anyone that's even remotely hesitant, because the head of the family needs someone loyal that will do anything necessary to keep their legacy alive. He would essentially try to keep her from running off or making a mockery of the family whether by wooing her or just flat out forcing her.
All trusted leaders among the mob-- these elite few have an unimaginable and questionable wealth they earn through years of loyalty and unspeakably cruel crimes set forth in the name of business. None of them are faint-hearted. They're all about their money and family. And I can assure you that the family is their organization. Mind you, while they allow even muggles to do their dirty work discreetly, they are too focused on their own pride and paranoia to allow anyone other than a true pure blood in their elite few leaders.
