With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
A letter had been sent god knows how long ago to announce something that Felix didn't need to hear for a long time. He wasn't one to rush to read what his father had to tell him but when he did read it the boy wasn't surprised one bit that this was happening to him. Before Rosa he would've fought it, he would have fought his father's wishes of him getting an arranged marriage but what's the point of fighting it? What would he achieve except more misery? Felix was done with the fighting, he was done with the wars.
But beyond that, he was tired of it. When he was his cold self he was able to wave it all off but even the people who knew him saw him change after the breakup. He was a bit more relaxed about so many things that were usually triggers for him but that didn't mean he wasn't a gentleman. The boy had returned the letter with a response of his signature as a sign of acceptance and now walked down the dorm to sit at the fire and read a new book his mother had sent him.
The boy was wearing dark blue jeans that even could be considered black in a bad light and button up shirt tucked into the jeans. His eyes were focused on the pages of his book after he had taken a seat in the armchair that was available and his eyes didn't move away from them when he heard footsteps approaching. "Have a seat somewhere else, this seat is obviously taken." he said calmly and skipped to the next page, his brow arched slightly. He sure as hell didn't expect this to become a problem and if it was, he would kindly remind him who the hell he is.
Sienna had been looking forward to seeing the letter from her father about the arranged marriage ordeal and once she had received the news about who her future husband shall be, she was left a little disappointed. The female had thought she was going to be with the perfect gentleman, one that respected her and her needs but she knew this boy. The female had watched him closely, seeing how he was with other people and she was turned off by it. But perhaps she should just humor her father and befriend the boy instead of acting like she didn’t care about this. She wasn’t going to fight it, she was going to accept it.
So, with her head held high, Sienna had made her way back to the Gryffindor common room to at least get to know this boy. The moment she stepped into the general area of the common room, her eyes had found the boy and she raised an eyebrow at his choice of outfit. How the hell did her parents expect her to marry a slob? Ah, well. She wasn’t going to back out of this now. She had made a promise to her father and she wasn’t going to be like her bitch of a sister.
Sienna had walked toward him with a small sigh, stopping right in front of him when she heard the words leave his lips. Part of her wanted to wrap her hands around his neck but she had some self-control. A smirk appeared on her lips when she stared at him. ”Someone needs to teach you some manners, Mr. Bianchi.” she said coldly.
Ever since Felix was a child he was quite proud of himself and the way he behaved. His father basically beat manners into him. The boy had learned the hard way how behaving properly worked so when this girl approached him saying he should learn some manners all he could do was mentally give her the finger. Just because he loosened up a bit didn't mean he wasn't well mannered. Quite the opposite, in fact, was true so all he did was slowly close the book he was reading, making a mental note where he left off.
With a small sigh leaving his lips, Felix turned to face the girl he was to marry one day. "Lack of manners is not a problem I have miss Nero though I am sure that your warm tone is very teachable." he replied calmly and put his book aside, there was no point in reading it this way. Felix felt like dealing with this girl was as easy as to deal with a mountain lion. The only pro in that was that mountain lions were cute and cuddly after some good training, this girl... probably not.
"I do advise you to move and sit somewhere, standing here staring at me is not polite. But I am sure you know that already." he told her and motioned for Sienna to have a seat. Felix had classes with her and truth be told he never really bothered getting to know her because he simply had no reason to. She wasn't interested in him and he wasn't interested in her, the perfect grounds for marriage. Maybe one day Felix was going to be in one of those bad comedy shows where the man is married to a meddling wife and prefers to drink himself into a coma rather than face his marriage.
"I assume your approach meant you got the letter, correct me if I'm wrong about that."
Sienna was somewhat disappointed that this was the boy her father had chosen for her, but she wasn’t going to argue it. She was sure that he had his reasons for getting involved with this family and she wasn’t going to question it further. Her eyebrows had arched as the male responded, causing her to bite the inside of her cheek because she wanted to do the unthinkable to this boy. Honestly, he wasn’t worth the effort - he was there for a reason like her. When he mentioned that he’d advise her to move and sit somewhere, she did. The bag around her shoulder was dropped on the floor nearby and she had taken a seat in the closet chair she can get to him.
Once she was comfortable, her legs crossed and her arms resting on the armrests of the chair, she watched him. ”Does this make you feel better?” she asked, her teeth digging into the inside of her cheek because god dammit he was frustrating.
”You’re not wrong. My Papa had sent me a letter about all the things I needed to know about this. I was somewhat disappointed in who he had chosen for me but I’m not going to fight him on it. Our parents have their reasons, I’m sure.” she stated as she brought her hands together as she cocked her head to the side.
Being arranged to marry even when he wasn't quite content with the girl he was arranged to was something Felix loathed for so long. He refused every single girl that was suggested and this time it wasn't a suggestion, this time it was an announcement. He was set to marry and that was it. There was no way around it and Felix himself was going to honor those arrangements. The young male Italian was watching her move to take a seat thank god and just let out a small sigh before he even considered speaking to her. There was no point in arguments and he hoped to god she wasn't going to argue with him.
There was a slight frown on his face. "It doesn't concern my feelings but it does make you look less like you're trying to do a stare down with a seated person so you're welcome for that." he replied and rolled his shoulders into a shrug. "Yes I didn't fight this engagement because it is right for our families." he said simply and arched his brow. "I promise I won't do anything that would break your trust or dishonor our arrangement. No matter what you think of me in that regard." he assured her.
"I am a man of my word." he added and sighed. "Truth be told I am never big on these marriages, I think they're quite overrated and shouldn't exist for our generation but I also believe that this could work if we both tried hard enough. Though by the sound of your contempt that might be quite an issue." he said honestly and turned his attention towards the girl before looking into the fire.
Okay, she should learn her manners because she was taught that staring was rude. But her sister had taught her to stare a man down to ensure she was not a force to be reckoned with. As Sienna had gotten comfortable in her seat and adjusted her outfit for the fifth time that entire progress of sitting, she let out a low huff when he brought up that this whole thing doesn’t concern his feelings. Her eyes had left him for a moment as she listened to him talk about promising not to break her heart or dishonor the agreement. At least he was a man of his word right?
”Oh, sweetheart. I have to have a heart for you to break.” she told him, smirking a bit to herself. ”Many say I don’t have one, so there’s that.” she hummed as she eyed the male near her for a moment. Her eyebrows raised when he said that this whole thing was overrated.
”I’ll try if you try. Not like we both have any choice. I'll respect you, if you do the same to me.”
This agreement that bound the girl to him was going to be the death of him. He just sensed it from all over her that this choice he made, the faith he put in himself and with that this marriage was a mistake. Felix had been so cautious for so long before Rosa and with her damaging him the way she did, it got even worse. He didn't trust her with half an inch of his hair.. how was he going to trust her with his entire life that was ahead of him? People will call him crazy to put the signature on that piece of paper and yet he did it.
He made the choice. "Well I guess you like me enough for pet names now. Heartless people don't usually use pet names unless they are bound to kill the other which I would strongly suggest you don't do." he said a bis suspicious here. "I made an agreement.. I will do what is needed for our families and this bond. I am a man of my word like I said before." he said and let out a small sigh. This was going to be tough but he was going to do it, he was going to go through it all.
"I will make sure there is a ring that fits what we agreed upon. Are you a gold or a silver girl?" he asked her and cocked his head.
”Oh please, if I wanted to kill you, you’d be dead already.” Sienna had said as she glanced toward the portrait that had open to bring another Gryffindor back home. The female had watched the sixth year make their way up to the dorms. Good, she didn’t want people to hear what is going on between both Sienna and Felix. ”I respect that you’re a man of your word. You don’t see men like that. Usually they’re cheating scumbags who deserve to be hung.” she stated as she glanced back at Felix with a tiny smile.
When he asked her if she was a gold or silver girl, she tilted her head as she thought it over and eyed the rings already on her fingers. ”I like silver more than gold. I mean I do have both types, but I prefer silver.” she said as she moved in her seat to get more comfortable.
”Don’t need anything that is too fancy. I might be a girl with style but too much gems on a ring is just asking for too much…”
The girl was like a harpy and it was going to be quite the ride wasn't it? The boy could already sense that this was going to be a complicated situation but he was still going to try to make this all right. With a slight frown he just looked at her. The girl seemed so sure of herself and yet he needed to pull her off that cloud to the real world sometime because she was acting ridiculous. With an attitude like that he'd have to blow off the engagement because the girl got her ass killed here.
"Cute." was his response like she could even touch him. Her family wasn't that powerful, she needed to realize that. "Your opinion on men gives quite the hope for the future doesn't it?" he asked her coldly and looked at the sixth year as well, not that he cared what they were up to or who they even were. His eyes flicked back towards Sienna who talked about the ring and what she liked, great. This was going to be easy then and he had to give her a bloody rock because it was a status symbol.
"You'll get the finest diamond ring your hand will ever touch because that is apparently how this works. I will contact my father for a ring." he said shortly and let out a small sigh as he longed back for his book. "I never understood the reason for girls wanting to have the biggest diamonds, but then again I am just a man right? simple brain and all?" he mocked her sure but if he had to deal with her snappy ass she had to deal with him being a general ass.
Sienna adjusted herself in her seat, her arms moving to the arm rests and her finger started tapping the chair. It was a tiny sign of annoyance, and a sign that she was a little distressed about the whole deal her father had with the Bianchi family. Why would a family in politics want something to do with the Bianchi clan? Did they have something that’s worth this marriage? Her father had set her up with a boy she barely liked or even spoke too over the years of attending this hellhole. This better be worth it or it’d be a short marriage. And Sienna did not want to disappoint Papa Nero, not at all. She respected her father and his choice, she had no choice in the matter.
”As long as you’re not a man who’d turn his back on his family.” she said and looked at him with an eyebrow raised. ”Some girls are weird that expect the whole world, so a huge diamond would make them happy. I’m not huge on it. I’m not just some girl after all.”
God, this boy was an ass, but she’ll deal with it.
Felix had heard about the Nero family but he never really cared enough to remember anything about them. Sienna's strut of power hungry wolf was enough for him to know she was way up her own father's ass for him to get a good look at who she is as a person. Somehow girls found it a thing to fake anything and everything just to appear the way they want themselves to. The young male Gryffindor arched his brow and rolled his eyes as she spoke once more. Legit the same bullshit they all said.
Famiglia before everyone and everything else.
"I am most of all loyal to myself." he corrected her and wanted this to be made sure that she'll remember. "I approved of this marriage because I wanted to. My family has no influence on me or my decisions. Whether you like it or not you are going to marry an individual and not another pawn in a family's mob purpose." Felix was a lot of things, an asshole, a little bitch if you had to believe Greyson but he was most of all, his own person. Felix was what Felix wanted himself to be.
"Noted, not a too big diamond to outshine the girl." he said and looked at the fireplace. What did he get himself into now?
Sienna was slightly confused at the male, several questions flooded her mind the moment he spoke. Did he not want this for himself? Okay, so neither student wanted it but Sienna wasn’t going to say no to her father. She wanted to impress her family, show them that she wasn’t going to back out like her sister had done. One day she would work in her family business and further their agenda throughout her home city and she prayed her family would move the politics to the wizarding world, to gain control of the Ministry and such. The girl knew it was a long shot, but there’s high hopes.
”Okay, whatever you say, Felix.” she said and stood up from her seat, adjusting her outfit and looked at the time on her watch. ”I got prefect rounds in 30 minutes. Would you like to discuss this more during breakfast in the morning or would you like to pretend that I don’t exist until the wedding?”
