With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

BREAKING NEWS!
another werewolf attack?
TYesterday afternoon at approximately 4.00pm, the wizarding world was shaken once more as the infamous Trossachs - a group of werewolves, banded together by Fenrir Greyback in the early 90s - launched an attack on St. Mungos. Sources report that their goal was to rescue the students responsible for the attack on Hogwarts in December, however it is evident by the damage they’ve caused that this was not their only goal.
Whilst members of the community are doing their best to repair the damage inflicted on the building, the residents have all been moved to one ward in the meantime. It has been said that mandatory counselling has been implemented by the Ministry of Magic for all bystanders to assist with the traumatising events that have unfolded before their very eyes.
The Ministry released a statement this morning:
‘We are doing our utmost to capture those responsible for such a heinous attack on St. Mungos and to seek justice for all of those who unfortunately were bystanders to this incident. Wizengamot have implemented new legislation as of this morning to prevent any similar occurrences in the future and werewolves are no longer allowed to set foot into St. Mungos. This is in the best interest for everyone and their safety.”
The Daily Prophet will keep the public apprised as they receive more updates on this situation. For now, take care and remain alert when in public. If you notice any suspicious behaviour, please ensure that you report it to the Ministry of Magic who have set up a tip hotline. Owls can be addressed anonymously or with your details to: Floor 27 Werewolf Capture Unit Ministry of Magic, London
WEREWOLF PACKS If you have a werewolf that is not currently aligned with the Trossachs or the Cotswolds, please consider joining either one. You do not have to have a direct thread with a senior member of the pack in order to join; however, if you'd like to do this please contact ROADROO as currently her characters are involved in the recruitment of wolves for either pack.
Please use the Pack Sign Up to make this an official "pack". We do currently have space enough for one other pack that can be considered neutral.
FUTURE ARTICLES If you would like to become a writer for the Daily Prophet and earn some sickles in the process, please contact ROADROO . We are all ears for future article suggestions!
