With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

history
Things Padma remembers…
War. What should have been happy teenage years for Padma were cut short by war. And not just any war, but one that required a bunch of kids to fight it, when the government who should have been responsible for protecting Britain didn’t do it. As a member of Dumbledore’s Army, Padma had been in the thick of it, no matter how much her parents had tried to keep her out of it. She had helped keep the group strong during that awful last year, had fought in the Battle of Hogwarts, had watched her own friends, classmates, and even professors die at the hands of the Death Eaters. And while she knew she would never have made any other choice, she was so relieved when it was all over.
Love. Samir Joshi had been the kind of boy Padma’s parents would have always loved for her to marry, but she never paid much attention to him--he was younger, and a Gryffindor, so she would have passed him off to Parvati anyway--until he fought alongside her in the battle. Now they shared something important, something she couldn’t say for anyone who hadn’t been there, and she started speaking to him more often. She went into training as a healer; he got the fast track into Auror training from his participation in the war; they became a power couple of sorts. Things were settling down, giving her hope for the future.
Loss. It had been like any other day. Their sons--twins, of course, it ran in the family--had been newborns, and Padma had kissed Samir goodbye before he went off to work, on an important mission that he couldn’t miss just to stay home with them. She had always known that an Auror’s job was dangerous, but she’d trusted his skills, sure that without the Dark Lord around that it wouldn’t be so bad. She was wrong. There were still a handful of Death Eaters and their sympathizers still at large, and that had ruined it all. They had gone to catch a few and gotten into a massive firefight. Samir never did come home, the latest casualty of a war she thought had ended nearly a decade ago, and Padma was devastated.
Fear. Padma watched the growing tension over werewolves warily--hearing the name Fenrir Greyback again chilled her to the bone, even when he was finally killed. She almost wished she had gone into the Dai Llewellyn Ward instead of the Janus Thickey Ward--there she felt like she could have done something, while here she was still taking care of the victims of the first war, like the Longbottoms. But when the very students of Hogwarts attacked the school, she began to be terrified--violence back at Hogwarts, where she was supposed to be sending her sons just the next year. Wanting with her whole heart to avoid another war, she decided to help the Ministry quarantine the attackers in St. Mungo’s, hoping that it might buy the Ministry time to hunt down the werewolves responsible.

Roleplay example:
After the moment to stop for a kiss, Wolfgang turned back toward the lake, Isobel following as she grasped his hand. Her heartbeat was slowing back down after all the emotions that had just run through her in the space of a minute or so, and she took a deep breath, letting it out in a cloud of vapor in front of her. Whatever had become of her in the last few months, where she'd gone from swearing she only liked men for fun to agreeing to be someone's girlfriend, it had changed something.
But not everything. Wolfgang was right, neither of them were the type to sit at home with each other all the time. They were, by nature, people who got bored with what already existed, who were determined to make things better than whatever life had dealt them. People who needed new things and new experiences to make them happy, who needed glamour and excitement. At least, that was how Isobel thought about herself, and she would be willing to bet that Wolfgang was alike, because how else would they have found themselves drawn to each other if not for being similar? Perhaps at first she had felt that opposites attracted, that she as a farm girl would be lucky to have a well-dressed boy with the slightest touch of a German accent. But she knew that opposites didn't stay together, that for her own parents, no matter how different they looked on the outside, they were quite alike in personality.
Then she and Wolfgang would try to stay together, for as long as it worked. Especially if they could give themselves that bit of freedom he suggested.
"Of course I would tell you," Isobel said. "And I would explain it to anyone I was with. I want it to be clear to everyone that this would be our arrangement--I don't want them to think we're cheaters. I don't need that on my reputation." Reputation was important to her, it was the thing that would make her business succeed someday, and she didn't want to put it at risk. "So if I'm going to have late night talks with someone, it'll be someone who's just a friend. Vinda or something."
"And I'm sure," she added, squeezing Wolfgang's hand again, "I can save cuddling for you." So that they would have each other to hold, no matter what else happened in their lives.
But was it that easy? To just agree and hope that nothing would go wrong? Isobel understood why they would want an open relationship; it was why she agreed so readily in the first place. But it seemed harder, to trust that they would always be able to tell each other everything so that they always knew what was going on. As she knew--both in her own head and from their talks--neither of them were the most honest people in the world, even to each other sometimes. They'd have to fix that, which, from the way she had lived her entire life, seemed like a tall order.
"I think that it's going to mean we have to be really honest, though," she said, with a touch of concern. "I know we both like to avoid uncomfortable subjects, but on this, we can't let it be uncomfortable. Otherwise we won't say anything to each other and we would be cheating, and I don't want that. Do you think we can manage it?"
