With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?

GREYSON AVERY && EVAN OLIVER WOOD Grey thinks Evan is a goody two shoes who needs to have a good smoke and relax. He's probably said as much to good ol' Evan as well, oopsies. Poor Evan has maybe had to put him to bed a good few times with a bucket sitting next to him. Grey's also messy as hell, so that's another thing Evan probs has to deal with. Sorry!
VIOLA ROSALINE && EVAN OLIVER WOOD Hi, so these two would be in the same class and tbh I think Vi would be all over Evan because she'd think he was a cutie patootie. If he can deal with the constant loving, I think they'd make quite good friends!
ALEXANDER GREENAWAY && EVAN OLIVER WOOD Uh, so. These two wouldn't be friends, I don't think, but they could potentially become friends some day in the future? Alex probably thinks he's hot too sorry
GRACE LONGBOTTOM && EVAN OLIVER WOOD I would assume, given that both their fathers played big parts in the war and were in the same house and stuff, that they would know each other and have since they were kids? I think they'd get along super well, both having a passion for animals, so if you'd like to do childhood friends then I'm keen as a bean.
I know we already discussed @roxanne + EVAN OLIVER WOOD, but how about NADEZHDA KAREVA + EVAN OLIVER WOOD? You already know she's a big nature lover and interested in healing. Her little sister (my future character) is in his year as well, so she might know him from that point of connection, or just from being out on the grounds/lake/forest together?
Greyson & Evan After five years of his shit, I think Evan would be very used to it. He’s not at all a tidy person so god help their poor dorm mates! His cat would probably shed everywhere though and there’s often times that there’s some orphan animal tucked away in a warm spot somewhere. If Grey doesn’t rat him out for that, Evan won’t rat him out for smokes and booze. Also I imagine whether or not Grey wants help, Evan would be there with a bucket and electrolytes almost always 😂
Viola & Evan I think Evan would return just as much love as Vi would lol I can see him trying to funnel some of her energy into caring for animals and trying to teach her to be calm (and not a hampster-squeezer like his writer (when things are just soooo cute you just want to squeeze the life out of them)).
Alexander & Evan -cough- we all know Evan has a thing for Ravie boys -cough- I think if we paired these two for some class assignment, Evan might very well be able to befriend him. He’d want to take him under his wing, very honestly. And those sad puppy eyes.
Grace & Evan Childhood friends it is! Evan also wants to become part human healer, part animal healer (magizoologist veterinarian hahaha) so these two have a LOT in common. He’s not an early riser, typically, except if he has any orphan or injured animals that need to be looked after. Then he’s awake at all sorts of hours 😂
Roxanne & Evan I’m super keen for these two buddies. It’s really hard for Evan to be the son of two very famous Quidditch stars... and have absolutely no talent for the game. But he would adore sitting and listening to things his friends are interested in; it’s a great way to learn something new in his opinion. Just... sometimes he’s overly friendly and that can be misconstrued as ... well.. trying to put the moves on or something.
Nadya & Evan Oh I think these two could be very good friends! Except that he’d have difficulty controlling himself in regards to her Veela charm - especially as in his fifth year he’s starting to notice ... people. It would be interesting if he used to be absolutely fine around her and now he kind of avoids because he doesn’t want to be a dickhead. Same with her sister 😂
Skylar & Evan Ok soooooo if Skylar wants a big brother/friend type, Evan is most definitely your guy. He’s like a mini counsellor I swear. Plus if Skylar wants anyone to have a smooch with....

Mark comes from a really good family, they are upper middleclass, pureblooded and value the traditional way of raising a child. You know, studies ONLY, no parties, no drinking, no romantic relationships, nothing like that. Mark has to play at least two instruments, listen to classical music instead of rock and join the quidditch team (he is currently lying to them about him finally getting a position there). The background would make him tolerable for Aiden (I think). Mark is extremely studious and rather smart too. When he opens up he says what he thinks and is very smug and sarcastic. However, right now he is an introvert. He needs to get to know himself, and he might seem rather spineless to a guy like Aiden.
I can see him following Aiden like a puppy. A bit lile Peter Pettigrew. So if your guy wants a minion - his own little house elf - I will offer Mark!
VERANDI FARLEY & MARSHALL TOFT - so we've already kinda talked about these two, but Marshall has absolutely zero interest in reigniting the old flame.
VERANDI FARLEY & MAEVE LOCHLANN (once she's sorted) - They need to be friends, or at least have something going on. Maeve is pan too so maybe they could have some non-committal fun time? Something like that.
I disappeared but I'm back. We may need to do a new Margie and Teddy thread since the St. Mungo's attack happened? Maybe one with Aurelie too. You can take your pick. It's been ages so I've lost track of everything that happened. Margaret and Verandi would definitely be enemies though.
ARTHUR LONGBOTTOM - Since his family is supportive of creatures maybe @melinda and Arthur can be friends? Being a vampire it wouldn't be very easy for her to make and keep friends most likely. They are housemates and in the same year. As for @rebecca , maybe they're friends? She's in the same year as his sister Grace and a prefect. Vinda is Rebecca's roommate so they have hating her in common. Also if Arthur ever wanted to talk to a ghost maybe a thread with @charlotte ? I think I had it that she died in her fifth year so she'd be Arthur's age now if she lived. She was in the same house as Grace, so she'd probably know her brother, or seen him around the corridors maybe.
WILLIAM WAGTAIL- Melinda is in the same year as him. I don't really have any ideas but she'd likely know who he is. It depends on how he feels about her being a vampire. @rebecca is his housemate and prefect. I'm not sure how they'd get along because she hates Vinda.
Richard & the Valentinos They wouldn't have anything to do with him, really, as he's not currently a prefect and he's not in their classes. We can always set up a situation where they have to interact... like Richard getting in trouble for something by Aiden or.. something if you can think of something?
Aurora & Alicia Perhaps Alicia could engage Aurora's services over the summer to give singing lessons to her two children? This might leave interaction open between the pair... or if you have any other kind of set-up idea? Alicia's a major-mama bear but she isn't very maternal/gushy about her children or being a mum.
Jonathan & Zoe Well I don't know if Zoe would know about Askold & Jon being friends, so she would probably easily make a move on him. I guess that could leave you & LEO SORREL more opportunity going forward to plot Jon telling Askold? I don't know though just an idea hahaha.
