With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Over his last few years at Hogwarts, Matheus had honed a very important skill, perhaps the most important skill an eighteen year old could have in their possession, and that was how to throw a banger of a party without getting busted.
The key to it was to hold it in a secure location, like the Room of Requirement, but just after dinner on a Friday night. It would take a few hours til curfew kicked in, giving them ample time to get things kicked off, but Fridays were the day where Professors were the most lax and exhausted. Half of them weren't arsed enough to do a proper patrol, let alone bust up a party then fill in the required paperwork.
Another important key to having a great party was to have free flowing alcohol. Matheus had managed to score quite a few bottles over the Christmas hols in exchange for odd jobs around his small town, but he'd also talked a lot of his mates into bringing along a bottle or two of their own stuff to share around. When people were drinking, they became loose limbed, relaxed and that was the perfect environment for a party... and it encouraged some to embrace their wilder side, something he loved to see (and encourage).
Matheus had also found over the years that to get the maximum amount of people, dangling an exciting idea in front of them like a grand big game of Spin the Bottle was enough to catch their interest. Who didn't want to snog every person of age? He definitely did... and he had. Plus, spin the bottle gave everyone that extra dose of courage they sometimes needed to kiss somebody that they never had before or hadn't ever considered snogging before. It was perfect.
Glancing around the room at the plushy bean bags and comfy lounges arranged in a circle, the tables at the back stocked full of food and bowls of liquour-spiked punch, and the speakers he'd magically enchanted to blast out muggle music, Matheus grinned. Hell yeah, this party was going to kick arse. People just needed to start arriving.
TAGS: If you have a character who is 16+ years of age, feel free to have them join in! NOTES: Matheus told everyone the instructions on how to access the room via a note or in person . .
How to Play:
Post your character down below so we know they’re here and ready to rumble.
Note whether they’ve spun the bottle, e.g. after you write your post you can add ‘[Alex spun the bottle]'
After a couple of people post, I’ll use a random generator and post who’s smooching who for the first round!
You have until 6pm Thursday GMT+10 to get your characters in for the first round, then the list will be posted. Remember, they can still join for later rounds too!
It had been far too long since Wolfgang had truly been his bon vivant self. Yes, he found himself in Isobel's arms every other night, he couldn't complain about feeling alone, yet he didn't think that to be faithful to someone their relationship had to be exclusive. After a long conversation with his girlfriend they both had decided -- there would be very little restrictions to whom they bedded and when. Of course, in theory they both were okay with the other making out with a third party, but in practice?
No other event could provide a better opportunity than a party. Especially one hosted by Matheus Delgado. Although Wolfgang didn't think the Gryffindor had any more finesse and tact than a tranquilized elephant, he couldn't pretend to be blind and not notice that the seventh year was... Hot stuff. As long as his mouth was shut by...
After dinner he hurried back to his dorm to grab a bottle of strawberry flavored vodka - acquired through a friend of a friend - and to get dressed, exchanging the dull Hogwarts robes for a dark blue blazer & dress pants to match, and a white tie, just to make it all a little bit more fun. His scruff wasn't doing a terrific job of covering his scars, but it would have to do.
He was pleasantly surprised when he discovered, that he'd been the first to arrive. "Oh dear," he said, placing his bottle down on one of the tables and opening it. "This makes me look too eager."
Deciding to leave the hard liquor for later, Wolfgang found a glass, poured some punch in it and settled down on one of the couches, crossing his legs and toying with the drink.
In all of her years at Hogwarts, Vinda had never gone to a spin the bottle party. It wasn't because she hadn't been invited - although, there were a few instances in the past where she'd been snubbed due to her peers pretty widespread dislike of her - but because she'd never truly been interested before. She wanted to have her first kiss with someone who meant something to her, whether it was a boy that she genuinely liked or her betrothed who she'd have to kiss at some point as they'd be destined to do that and more throughout their marriage.
Even now, as she walked through the doors of the Room of Requirement, hand in hand with Adrian, Vinda's interest in the activities that were going to happen during the party were very small. The only reason she'd decided to attend in the first place was because... well, because of the boy standing next to her in all his freakishly tall glory. They had to start selling the fact that they were an actual, legitimate couple and attending gatherings together did just that, as well as physical affection.
Tugging Adrian's hand, pulling him down so she could hiss in his ear, Vinda gave out her orders for the evening. "We're going to sit on that lounge over there next to Wolfgang and you're going to touch me and smile, okay? We enjoy each other's company immensely and like... every other couple who ever existed, we're going to... cuddle." Something Vinda had never truly subjected herself to before, but she could make it look natural. She just had to look like she wanted to touch him in the first place.
With her strict instructions in place, Vinda plastered on the tiniest of smiles, leading Adrian over to the lounge where Wolfgang sat. She wondered if she should make herself sit in Adrian's lap, but the thought of having to remain there the entire game was unbearable and his knees looked knobbly even through the fabric of his pants. With such bizarre knees, it was a blessing that he walked normally. It would be embarrassing if she was betrothed to someone who was knock kneed. Distracting herself from that very odd line of thought, Vinda sat down, giving Wolfgang a tiny nod. "It's nice to see that there's still a few people in a year who look like they dress with the light on," she said, before reaching out and putting her hand on one of Adrian's knees.

Adrian wasn't feeling too great about this party idea. He wasn't sure what Vinda expected him to do (because happy couples didn't want to make out with other people, right?). He'd never had attended this before his engagement and to be honest, he didn't really want to do so now. Parties weren't really his thing, let alone a party with the main purpose of kissing. Had Vinda brought him here as a test? Or perhaps she wanted him to learn how to kiss by watching and learning? He could already feel that this was going to be an uncomfortable night, but he'd agreed to her request. She wanted this relationship to be as real as possible, or at least seem that way, so if she wanted to attend a party that really wasn't aimed at him, he would go with her.
They walked in hand in hand and he was just lucky that his hands were freezing cold as apposed to sweaty like they could be. Vinda had made it very clear how much she did not want to hold sweaty hands, not that he could do much about that. He leaned down, having to bend quite low due to their significant height difference. Biting the inside of his lip, he listened to Vinda describe what she had planned for them to do. He hated how much he disliked the idea of cuddling Vinda, his betrothed, but he'd never particularly liked a lot of physical contact anyway. It was ridiculous that he was lamenting the fact that a gorgeous woman would be affectionate with him. He was being ridiculous. "I don't want to tell you that you're asking for a lot here, but smiling might be pushing it too far." Vinda didn't seem like the jokester sort, but a little humour could lighten the mood again.
Adrian let himself be pulled over to the Ravenclaw, giving him a firm nod before sitting down. He placed his larger hand on top of Vinda's giving her a weak smile before his eyes darted to the ground. She mentioned something about people dressing like they had light, one of the best compliments Vinda would give. He glanced up at the other boys in the room, and didn't respond. The other party attendees were already so much more attractive than him. Was this party going to just be a reminder for Vinda on who she was missing out on while she was attached to Adrian? He shuddered at the thought, until his eyes fell onto the copious amount of alcohol nearby. He let out a small sigh of relief, at least there was something to take the edge off of his nerves. "Would you like anything, I'm going to go get some beer?" He murmured in her ear before standing up. He'd have offered Wolfgang the same thing but the other boy already had some punch in hand.
Emilian was never one to attend parties with a lot of people. But how could they decline the invitation of the lovely Matheus Delgado? The introverted Ravenclaw had few friendships but cherished the ones they had. So for the sake of this one, Mili was willing to step into that room. It wasn’t that people made them nervous. They were just quite exhausting, parties. Unlike their upringers, Emilian didn’t have eternal life. Perhaps making a few memories wouldn’t hurt.
They’d brought some bottles of alcohol with them and put those among the others that were already there. Upon entering, they shot a silent flirty gaze with their intense eyes into the direction of their dear friend but didn’t act further upon it. Perhaps later. If Emilian was going to interact with humans, they definitely could use a couple of drinks. Good thing Mili brought their favorite port.
Now Mili wasn’t afraid people would think they were being strange. That would be nothing new. However Emilian was afraid of killing the mood with their strange manner of speech. So they decided to remain quiet until after a few drinks. Dressed in black, their medium length hair lose and without their iconic sunglasses, the Ravenclaw mingled themselves among the other students. Perhaps fate would decide it was time to meet some new people. Their parents always said that snogging was a great way of getting to know someone.

It had been a couple months since Isobel had been to a proper party, and she wasn't about to miss the chance. Not when the chance meant especially that she'd get to watch Wolfgang making out with people--of course, she loved most when he was kissing her, but it wasn't like she could watch his face when it was right up against her own, right? They'd had a conversation: between them would be the loving things, the soft cuddles and long talks by the fire, but if they found someone they just needed to have for other reasons? Then all they would ask is that the other be allowed to watch.
Or, at least, that's how Isobel was planning to interpret it, mixing herself a drink out of orange juice and strawberry vodka--whoever had brought that had made a good choice--and sitting down next to her boyfriend, looking every bit too elegant and poised for what was going on in her thoughts. You couldn't blame her for thinking Wolfgang was hot. It would only be amusing, she thought, if their spins landed on each other. While a few months ago she'd been doubtful about Vinda's thoughts on men, now her roommate was sitting right there cuddled up next to her own boyfriend, so Isobel felt she was much freer to kiss Wolfgang all she wanted.
"You know the best way to get over her? Kiss someone else. I've done it. It's foolproof." So had Zoë decreed that she and Rodrik were going to be attending Delgado's party, no arguments accepted. He was going to stop pining over the veela girl and loosen up, and she was going to look for a girl just as superhero-esque as Ryker Young but more available, and that was that.
"Oh, but if you spin and it lands on me, I'll just punch you instead."
And so she warned her best friend only as they were walking through the door to the party.
Like a few of her similarly-inclined schoolmates, Zoë had managed to procure a few bottles of liquor as a kind donation, though she'd pregamed with a solid amount of the first already, and already had the fierce confidence and sheer volume it tended to give her. "Delgado!" she cried, tugging Rodrik along next to her. "We are cheering this one up tonight. You know what to do." She winked, then took a spot on the arm of a couch for herself, perching like a particularly noisy garden bird. With amusement, she looked over at Selwyn and her awkward attempt at a cuddle with Anderson--ah, with that look on her face, if that wasn't a girl in denial, Zoë was sure she would eat her own beanie.

Despite almost turning seventeen, Junaid was a fifth year. Which usually had him hanging around with younger people. Aside from other prefects, he didn’t know any of his age. The Syrian boy was still on a quest to understand the British culture better. When he got invited to a party it seemed like the perfect chance. He was a bit nervous because he didn’t really know anyone. Above all he was a prefect so he was torn between doing his duty and not a ‘what Greyson would call him’ (Junaid didn’t feel like repeating those words, not even in his head).
Sweat ran over his back when he stood before the door. He had no idea what was going to happen in there. Was this a bad idea after all? Should he leave and see if he could find Rosa or Greyson instead? Jun didn’t know what got into him when he opened the door. But once in it’d look even more awkward if he left right away. “Um, hi. Don’t worry I’m not here to cancel the party,” he said in a weak attempt to a joke. He made his words official by taking off his prefect badge and putting it in his pocket. If there would occur fights, he would pin it back on.
The Hufflepuff’s eyes scanned through the room. There was a bottle in the middle of the room laying on the ground. Should he pick up the littering? However, after doing some more scanning, he concluded that it was supposed to be there. “Um, okay,” he whispered to himself. Now what? To his shock there was a lot of alcohol. The mere sight of it made his stomach feel weird. “Oh! There is fruit,” he cheered a little upon the sight of fruit in juice, unaware that it was spiked. Because he didn’t know anyone, Jun decided to fill a large cup with the fruit and juice to eat. His grey eyes kept scanning the room, unsure what to do. It had a funny taste, something he had never had before. Then again, all British food was weird and flavorless. When he saw people spinning the bottle, he thought it was a good idea to join in. Otherwise he’d just look strange standing there, staring at everyone like a creep. Little did he know what that would mean for him later.

It had taken Grace not one, not two, but three goes of walking to the Room of Requirement then turning around then turning around again to actually build the nerve to enter this party. It was a kissing party, a type of party that Grace had never even fathomed attending before, but... she felt, in a way, she needed to come. She was a sixteen year old girl, likely the only one in her entire year that had yet to have been kissed, and... and she just needed to get it over and done with. Once she'd lost her first kiss to someone, she wouldn't be worrying about it all the time, right? That's... that's how those things worked.
Tugging at the strands of her braid, Grace exhaled deeply because great. This was going to be great. She was going to have the time of her life... or at least, that's what she kept telling herself internally, as she wandered over to the table with bowls full of drink. Scooping herself a rather large cupful, completely unaware that it wasn't just punch in there, Grace took a gulp then headed over to sit on a bean bag, her leg starting to bounce up and down.

Viktoriya was slowly but surely trying to loosen up on her firm grip of school. She could have fun, but she also knew she spent over half of her time with her nose buried in a book about the wizarding wars, lycanthropy, dragonology, poetry, an autobiography on Nicholas Flimmel... You name it, she probably read it. She had gone to one party that two younger students, Viola and Elena, had put together but she was glad walking in that she actually saw Grace. Though as happy as she was, she was also somewhat surprised.
She walked over to the hufflepuff, taking a seat next to her, leaning against Grace's beanbag a moment as she scanned the party. Was it just her, or we're there a lot of couples? "I suppose 'swinging' isn't taboo these days, " She whispered off jokingly to Grace in her thick accent as she adjusted to get comfortable. Better to joke about something strange. It wasn't like she had any experience in snogging... Hell she wasn't even someone who had made an effort to even kiss someone. She supposed that would've meant she had to actually hang out with more than just a handful of people and her books.
Vik noticed Juni, giving him a wave to welcome him to come sit next to her and Grace. "Youre welcome to take a seat here, " She offered with a smile as she waved her hand to float a glass of punch over to herself. One of the perks of being an overachiever was learning wandless magic.
"That is by far the worst idea you've had so far," Rodrik grumbled as the short girl dragged him along to a kissingparty hosted by Matheus. He was almost certain Lyubov would be there too, because, as he had found out recently, she was the type. Not that he was angry with her, he had no right, but it didn't sit well with him.
"If you do punch me, make sure to knock me out so I don't have to participate." he told Zoe as they entered the Room of Requirement.
Upon seeing the contingent of students at the party, Rodrik's face flushed red and he really, really begged the Room of Requirement to swallow him whole. Delgado was prancing around ready to kiss anyone present, Wolfgang and Isobel were sitting on the couch all snuggled up and the gryffindor had to avert his eyes because he'd made the mistake at staring at those two once already, which had ended with a very...Intimate encounter, for which Zoe had reprimanded him, to put it lightly. Even Grace was there!
"I really don't need any cheering up, thank you," he said, hurrying to sit down next to Grace.
"Hi." he greeted her quietly, putting a bean bag next to hers and sitting down. He wasn't going to spin the bottle, no matter how much of a buzzkill it would make him.
When Jonah had heard about the kissing party? He couldn’t just let it slide, instead he had decided to join in on the fun. I mean, what teenager doesn’t? He knew everyone was a hormonal bunch of teenagers, and it was a great chance to actually kissing the girls he would love to kiss without any strings attached. So once the male had entered the Room of Requirement, his eyes scanned the area and he couldn’t help but smirk at the number of girls there. But there were also boys, so there was a huge chance of him kissing a fellow guy. Weird, but he had nothing against male on male action.
The Hufflepuff chaser had walked further into the room, smiling at a few of the girls and helping himself to some punch. He had taken a sip, smacked his lips and his smile grew when he had realized the punch was spiked. Awesome.
He had taken a seat next to some dude before he took more large gulps of the drink.
Let the games begin.

Lyuba loved parties. She'd never been to one in this particular room before, which she'd been informed was a special kind of room, but she had been to one of Matheus Delgado's. Somehow it seemed that once one turned sixteen, a whole wealth of party invitations appeared around the castle, something she wouldn't complain about for a second.
The invitation gave instructions for how to get into the room, which would only appear via magic, and Lyuba had been quite worried that it wouldn't open for her. That was something like half of all the trouble she had with spells, picturing what exactly she needed from it, and she screwed her eyes shut as she paced in front of the wall, summoning all the concentration she might have on an image of a party. Opening them slowly, she prepared for the disappointment of seeing the wall just as empty as it had been before, but to her delight, she was able to push open a door, entering into a warm and plush room, already full of people.
Nadya didn't seem to be there, which meant Lyuba wouldn't have to worry about any lectures on drinking when she knew for a fact that her older sister liked banned substances just as much, and she poured herself a cup of punch, already taking a long drink before she settled down in a bean bag near the party's host. If she was lucky, maybe she'd get to end the night with him again--although there were quite a few attractive people around the room.

"Hello lovers," Willy sing-songed on his entrance to the Room of Requirement. Of course the young wizard had a decent amount of blood in his alcohol system but he'd been a pretty good boy this evening and only had two billywig stings so he wasn't even close to floating this evening. "Matty boy, if you wanted a decent snog you could've just asked," Willy said with a lascivious grin as he walked past the Brazilian Beefcake on his way to dropping off a bottle of tequila that had, instead of a worm, there was a billywig sting because moth-worms were so very run-of-the-mill. Generously, William placed a jar of the stings on the table for people to partake if they so pleased.
"Looks like a veritable sausage fest," Willy said with a grin as he moved into the circle. "Will your brother be joining us Grace? Reckon he'll smack out whomever you play tonsil-hockey with?" the young man could hardly wait to get his hands on the little golden-haired cherub; he'd give her a snog that would leave her tingling between her legs for more than a few nights to come. Willy's eyes twinkled with mischeif as he glanced up to the door to see who came through - "Speak of the Devil," he grinned as Grace's older brother Arthur came in shortly. "Let's get snogging," because Willy wanted to get to the next base ASAP.
Post by ARTHUR LONGBOTTOM on Oct 10, 2019 5:07:14 GMT
Arthur could hardly wait to go to one of Matheus' parties. He'd been fidgeting all afternoon in classes and he quickly had a wash, done his teeth and popped the collar of his most handsome blue cardigan so he was his most suave as he entered the Room of Requirement. "Heee-" Arthur stopped short as his bright blue eyes fell upon a very familiar figure. Gracie? Arthur swallowed hard and ran a hand through his scruffy blonde hair because he'd never once thought she'd be here. ".... llo..." Arthur finished his introduction awkwardly as he made his way over to the drink table. He went past the host of the party and put an arm over Matheus as casually as possible to whisper, "if you so much as slip a tongue to my little sister, Mat, I'll put bulbadox powder in your bed every week until we graduate, mmk buddy?"
Instantly on much better behaviour than he'd ever been before, Arthur poured himself a drink of straight orange juice and sat down in the circle to spin the bottle. He'd noticed Vinda snuggled up with Adrian and Arthur could hardly wait for his bottle to land on her. Ickle firecracker, "how's everyone's Friday?" ... yes, not at all what Arthur wanted to ask but he had to set an amazing example for his baby sister who he smiled at across the circle. "Hey Mili, wanna come sit next to me? You're looking... bright.. today? New shade of... black?" yes, this was an appropriate conversation for a snog-fest. Quickly the seventh year spun the bottle so the games could begin.
