With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

It was nice to be back but Scarlett had already easily found her way outside of Hogwarts and back into Hogsmeade, her hands holding onto a cold drink in a fairly quiet bar. Sure she could have gone to the three broomsticks but that is no place for her right now, it never was really in the first place.
Scarlett ran a hand through her dark locks as she waited for the person she asked to meet her here. Maybe he would have preferred the three broomsticks because even when she hated to admit it, he was a bit of a goody two shoes but those blue eyes just made Scar melt like chocolate in the sun.
Another visit to St. Mungo's left Teddy in sore spirits - the Dai Llweyn ward healers had given him a list of newly bitten wolves that Teddy had to track down and talk to. He'd spent another large chunk of his day with the Werewolf Capture unit, discussing the recent attacks and being talked to like... well, less than human. Certainly not an equal who was trying to work towards a truce between the Ministry and the wolves. Still, as he walked to his rendezvous with Scarlett, Teddy rubbed his temple to try and ease the headache that threatened to ruin what should be a lovely date.
In his pocket, Teddy had his present for the young lady that had stolen his heart in his final year. Reminiscing as he heaved the heavy wooden door of the Hog's Head Inn, Teddy remembered how she had been kind despite his being infected with lycanthropy. The witch in question was already waiting for Teddy and a smile grew slowly across the young man's face as he strode across the dirty floors of the dingy pub. "Hello, beautiful," Teddy said as he wrapped his strong arms around her tiny frame. "Happy birthday," he whispered as he leant in for a tender kiss. "I called ahead. We're having cake... with candles."

Scarlett was finally legally an adult in every way. She was actually legally having a drink and she couldn't enjoy it more. The brunette ran a hand through her hair and smiled a bit when she felt arms wrapped around her. She turned to look at him and chuckled a bit.
"Hey handsome." she responded with a small purr in her voice. The young woman kissed her boyfriend with a smile on her face. She missed him and knew he was doing a lot of important work but she was very happy to see him on her birthday.
"Cake with candles? I feel so special." She stroked his cheeks with her fingertips. He looked tired and she was sure this was taking up a lot on him.
"How are you? You look exhausted." she asked and motioned for him to take a seat.
Though Teddy was almost always surrounded by people, there was no other voice that made the wizard's smile touch his eyes in the same way as Scarlett's did. When the lady's lips met his own in a kiss, it was soft and he didn't break away from it nearly as fast as polite society would dictate he should. When she said that she felt special because of the candles, Teddy laughed. It had cost him an extra half galleon, so she should. Bloody expensive candles - Teddy and Roo thinks he was probably gauged by the barkeep. Not that he'd ever point that out to his wealthy girlfriend. Nope. Male pride and all that jazz. "It's the small things, y'know," he joked and gave her one more peck on the lips before he let her out of his embrace.
"It's been a bit of a rough week with the full moon, I won't lie," Teddy said with a deep sigh as he sat down where Scarlett gestured. He captured her hand though and kept it held in his, as this was a rare pleasure... taking time out for himself with his beautiful girlfriend. "I also have a list longer than my arm, or so it feels anyway, of people suspected of being attacked by werewolves. Those are not fun conversations... and the aurors try to be ... polite about it," Teddy rubbed the back of his neck and gave Scarlett a sheepish grin.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bang on about werewolf stuff. How have you been? Anything exciting happening at Hogwarts? Any cute guys I have to warn off with... a howler? Keeping Prof O'Connor on his feet? I think if you don't then he might just not be able to get back up again with that old, bad back of his," Teddy joked because he kept in regular enough contact with the old Head of Gryffindor and genuinely respected the man.

Scarlett enjoyed being close to Teddy, she missed it when she was at Hogwarts. She missed the kisses, the hugs and just his bright and kind spirit that was the complete opposite of her own. She was more selfish, cruel even at times but yet he was here with her. He even got her a cake and she knew that it must have cost a lot of money. She smiled brightly and listened to him about the werewolves.
God it was just awful how they were treated and Scar knew her family was 100% not happy with werewolves either so it was basically a tug of war between yes men and nopers. Scar squeezed Teddy's hand and shook her head. "You need to let it out, it's understandable that you are under a lot of pressure and if you want I can snoop around at school and see if anyone has relatives who are wolves. Who knows they might need your help." she said and eyed the cake again.
"I have been well, classes are boring and yet we need them." she chuckled. "Mmm boys? I don't pay attention to boys. I got a man right here." she winked. "Ah yes, he seems to grow a very big I am so tired of your shit expression by the day. I don't think he needs to worry about his back as much as he needs to worry about some of the students." she shook her head slowly.
Scarlet's hand in Teddy's was soft and reassuring; almost perfect in every way unlike his own rough hands that had almost as much scar tissue as actual, regular, run-of-the-mill epidermis. "Thanks Scar, you're honestly too kind for this world," and by this world he meant the world of wolves, of Ministry politics and bigoted aurors. "Sometimes it is all you need - to vent. But not on your birthday Scar. I have much better plans for your birthday," he said with a cheeky smile that went from ear to ear. "You're more than welcome to let any family know how to contact me of course. Being a wolf... it's not something to go through alone. Not now, not ever."
As his girlfriend commented about how she had a man and therefore no need for boys, Teddy chuckled and leaned over to embrace her in a passionate kiss. Y'know, the type that only grown men can give their very adult girlfriends and usually behind closed doors. She tasted so sweet and again, Teddy was hit by the softness of her lips and warmth of her touch. "And I have the best woman," he said as he pressed his forehead against hers for a second before returning to a normal position on his seat. Scarlett of course replied the stock-standard, disinterested-in-school response and he laughed. He'd been the same way even when he'd been lumped with Head-Boy.
"He probably is tired of everyone's shit. Isn't he near retirement age?" Teddy joked, though he secretly hoped he'd be able to convince the old man to help the kiddies at camp over the holidays because Teddy hadn't met a more competent teacher in his lifetime. That included his dearly departed father. "I hope you don't go to hard on the old fella. How are your friends?"

Scarlett felt like she should help him. He was living in a camp with kids who had no place to go. His kindness to take care of them, to nurture them and show the world that wolves aren't all bad, just scared children at this time was something the world should witness. They should see the children being just that, children. The brunette frowned and grabbed a piece of paper writing a name on it.
"Help this kid. He is a good guy but he has anger issues and well.. his twin sister is dating my best friend's sister and I think she could use your help." Scarlett might be selfish, she might often be cruel and poisonous to the people she hated but Elijah and his sister were friends so that made Morgan a friend.
Before she could say anything else Teddy had kissed her. It was a passionate kiss that she didn't think he'd give her in public. They were often careful because up until today she wasn't the right age for it. "Mmm you do.." she assured him with a smile still a bit fuzzy from the kiss. It was unexpected and very welcoming.
"He is though I wonder if it's his age or the new professor. She seems.. very keen to be around the other professors." she shrugged not really caring about it. "I take it easy on him, it's everyone else you should be worried about." she chuckled and hummed.
"Good I suppose? I haven't heard complaints yet about their lives.." Scarlett grinned.
Ted’s attention was on the piece of paper as Scarlett began to write a name down. The moment she passed it to him, Teddy read the name scrawled there: Dallas Reid. He listened as she spoke of the boy’s anger issues and he nodded that he understood. ”Anger’s hard for teenage boys to deal with at the best of times, without lycanthropy to contend with as well,” Teddy said with a heavy sigh, instantly rising to the young man’s defence even though he knew Scarlett was already being kind and thoughtful about him. ”I promise I’ll do my best to track him down. And help him. Hopefully he won’t bite my head off before I say hello,” he joked.
During their passionate kiss, Teddy felt the moment of surprise from Scarlett but it passed quickly and when they finished, he was grinning. ”There’s a part two by the way. If you can spare the rest of the afternoon... I got a room at the Leaky,” Teddy said with a keen wiggle of his brow. He didn’t feel like explaining that he’d managed to get it as a temporary freebie from family friends. Thank you, Grace Longbottom.
On the discussion of Jack’s old back and a new professor, Teddy’s brow raised. ”Colour me intrigued,” Teddy’s skin colour flashed through all the colours of he rainbow in quick succession. ”Jack never mentioned a new lady friend in our last letters. Tell me more so I can tease him.”

So here was the deal. Scarlett hasn't even been able to romantically be with her boyfriend other than hot make out sessions. She knew anything more than that would've made people raise their eyebrows and though Scarlett didn't give a damn she knew Teddy deserved a better reputation. So they agreed to wait until this day to get more involved with each other.
Surely she didn't expect that to happen tonight. Scarlett wasn't stupid, she'd never say no either. Scarlett gave him a smile and nodded. "Of course, just be careful." she didn't know Dallas well but she knew the kid deserved help, they all did.
"There is now?" she asked with a smile when he spoke of a room at the leaky. Now she could imagine more charming places to spend with her boyfriend but she would definitely not say no either. "I'd love that. I'm all yours today." she didn't have plans and even if she did they didn't matter.
"One of my girls saw them and said they were.." she reached out to fix his shirt. "Very close.."
Warned to be careful by his girlfriend, Teddy couldn't help but give her a cheeky smile. "C'mon Scar, what's he going to do? Turn me into a wolf?" Teddy's canine teeth grew longer and his eyes turned into a brilliant golden colour, to resemble a wolf's just to accentuate his point. "I will be careful, don't worry. I've dealt with the worse wolves than a scared kid with an anger issue."
When they discussed the room at The Leaky, Teddy tried very hard to mask his lust for the girl. He could hardly wait to get her in that room to make sweet... well, the readers get the picture, I'm sure. "Yep, yep there is. Ours for the whole day. Night too if it weren't for the fact that I have to send you back to school," he said with a chuckle, amused that he was living some skeazy man's dream of dating a school girl. In many ways, Scarlett acted a lot more mature than him, though he liked to think it was because he was mature enough to see the funny side to most things in life. "When you've finished your birthday cupcake, I'll get you there in a wave of my wand."
"No, I don't believe Jack could have any interest in anything other than his work," Teddy decided. Those spies his girlfriend had clearly didn't realise how much of a workaholic the old professor was. "It's his only true love. This new professor will be sorely disappointed if she wants anything more out of him."

Scarlett knew Teddy was very much capable to take care of himself. He had this thing about him where she could imagine it would intimidate the people he needed to keep at a distance but that didn't make her less worried about his safety. The ministry basically put a huge target on his back and it worried her enough to make her tell him to be careful.
A smirk lingered on her lips as she watched Teddy turn his face a bit more animalistic and it was for some reason quite the turn on. "Mmm those eyes.." she said as she reached out to stroke his face right underneath his eyes.
"You know, even when I love your blue eyes the most, the yellow is quite sexy." she said with a smirk. "I know you'll be careful but I won't never say it because it's a good reminder." she said with a nod and cocked her head to the side. The next reminder besides the fact that they were going to have an intimate night together that was making Scarlett just want to rip his clothes off right now.. was that she had to go back to the castle.
"Don't remind me I have to go back there yet, I just want to think about the fun you and I will have in that room." she said with a wink and ate from her cupcake until there wasn't much left, she offered Teddy a piece as well. "Let's go, don't want to keep a girl waiting now do you?" she teased as she grabbed her jacket.
"Well he should loosen up, truth be told I wouldn't be able to be a professor and not have you by my side." she admitted. "Not that I am good with teenagers." she hated spending time with her siblings for that mere fact. "But I try, I mean I haven't seriously scolded anyone in a while and that right there... is progress." she got up on her feet.
"Now I don't expect a steed or a knight outfit but do save me from ripping your clothes off right here.."
