With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Rue had never had a proper sleepover. At home her mum always said she was too young and it wasn't safe, and the closest she'd ever gotten was being with her roommates at Hogwarts, but that wasn't quite the same when they were living with each other every single day. Pillow fights were fun the first time, but not quite as much the tenth. Living in the camp might be the next closest thing after that, but there was little enjoyment in pulling the thin blankets over herself every night to try to keep out the chill. She was sure that she'd catch cold at any moment and probably get in trouble for it, and in her own little corner of the tent she had to share, she always tried not to shiver as if that would stop anything.
But the little girl who lived with the pack had asked for a sleepover--since, Rue had explained gravely, they wouldn't be roommates at school, since she was older and wouldn't be going back to school any time soon anyway. She felt somehow obligated to cheer up the little girl somehow, as it couldn't have been easy growing up in such an environment. What she had set up for them wasn't that much different than how they normally slept, except that they were going to be together in Rue's corner and have a whole bunch of candles. She wished she could spare a blanket to hang up and create their own little room, but scooting as far away as they could from the others was going to have to do.
Striking a match, Rue lit the last of all the candles she had been able to find, providing as much light and heat as she could. "If it's a proper sleepover, we have to stay up," she told Isabelle, sitting cross-legged on her mat. "We probably do have to sleep, because we'll have to get up in the morning, but until then--do you want to play a game or something?" She shrugged, knowing she couldn't provide everything that might entertain the girl.

Isabelle had been bouncing around ever since this got planned. She was super duper excited to have her first ever sleep over. There weren’t many children in the pack and most adults were grumpy pants who were always talking about their mission. So she was super happy when Rue joined them. It felt like she finally had a sister. Isa had decided that Rue was her best friend in the whole wide world and planned to cuddle up the entire night.
She loved what the older girl had set up. “Woah! It’s so pretty like stars but right in front of us,” she cheered when the candles were lit. The fire was warm and brought light. “Rue, Rue! I grabbed some dried mutton from the stash,” she whispered and revealed the pieces of jerky from her sleeve. This night would be complete with snacks. Sleepovers always had those for as far as she heard. “Please don’t tell mummy, she’ll say I’m a bad girl,” she begged with the biggest eyes.
“Oh! I can stay up, I’m a big girl,” she nodded overconfidently. It was very likely she’d be asleep within two hours, but Isabelle was convinced of herself. She sat next to the girl and leaned against her. Rue was a lot warmer than the other parts of the tent. “We’ll have to do snuggles. It’s going to be brrrr cold tonight.” At the mention of games, her big eyes lit op. “YES! I spy with my little eye something… ehhh” Her eyes scanned the tent and eventually fell on the dull green blanket she had wrapped herself in. “GREEN!”

When Isabelle produced the jerky from her sleeve, Rue's stomach grumbled audibly, making her blush. The truth was that training took a lot out of her, plus she was never sure if she was eating so much because she was still growing or because she was a werewolf now. It was hard to know. "Snacks are perfect. I wouldn't tell," she whispered, smiling. She didn't know which of them would have it worse if they were caught taking extra food, but as long as neither told, it would be alright. Between the two of them, she pushed the blankets down, making a little space. "Put it here, so nobody can see and we can both eat it."
She let the other girl snuggle closer, putting an arm around her a bit awkwardly. Rue was much more used to being the little sister than having one, but at least she knew how to give a hug. It wasn't too bad to have someone closer to her age around, even if Isa was younger still. Her eyes followed the little redhead's as she started to search for something to "spy," and while she saw them land right on the blanket around her, she knew Isa would like it better if she played along.
"Hmm," Rue said, putting a finger to her chin. "Is it--" she glanced around, looking for anything that might be green, "--my socks?" Surreptitiously, she reached down to grab a piece of the jerky, hoping to get it in her mouth before her stomach rumbled again.

Isabelle couldn’t resist hugging her pack mate when she said she wouldn’t tell. “I love you, Rue. I wish you were my big sister,” she said as she snuggled closely against the older girl for warmth. Isa was still terrified they’d find out about the missing dried meat. Knowing she could trust the other girl made her feel a lot saver. She nodded and hid the food at the place Rue suggested.
The energetic young girl couldn’t quite sit still and kept rocking from side to side. It also helped getting a little warmer. She hoped Rue could be happy in their pack. Even if she was curious to go to Hogwarts, she was a little sad knowing Rue wouldn’t come with her.
Giggling from excitement, Isa looked at the socks that were guessed. “Boop boop, nope but that was a very good pick,” she said with a beaming smile. “Pick again.” When Rue took a piece of the jerky, Isa also took one for herself. The savory taste filled her mouth till the point where Isabelle almost felt like crying from happiness. They’d be able to sleep with a full belly tonight.

Rue was tired from a day's training, but she thought that with the smaller girl wiggling around with all the energy of a particularly feisty puppy, she might be able to stay awake longer. "You don't have any siblings, do you?" she murmured at Isa's comment. She didn't know everything about every member of the pack yet, but she felt like she would notice something like that. "I have a big brother. I've never been a big sister before. But I can try to be one, if you want." Rue thought it would be sort of sad to grow up without any siblings, though she had to admit she didn't have any experience with life as an only child.
"I've got to guess again, then?" Rue squeezed Isa's shoulder, glad for the warmth. She would be so glad when it finally started to warm up outside. Sleeping out in nature was lots of fun in the summer, but less so at this time of year. Not like she had a choice now, though. It wasn't an adventure anymore, it was just life. "Something green. Is it... this blanket?" she asked, picking up a corner between her fingers. She would pretend to be surprised at her guess, and at the same time, she started looking around for something for herself to choose. This was nothing like sharing a room with her dormmates, but at least it was nice to have company.
