With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Dear Grace,
I come to you with a delicate matter. I want to ask out a girl who, I think, likes me (and of course, I like her too). I want to make it special, but the one time I need it, I cannot come up with a single romantic idea.

Dear Rodrik,
Hi... I wasn't expecting this. I've never asked anyone out before surprisingly and Madam Puddifoots is off-limits but I really think that a picnic by the lake would be really romantic? Just be careful, someone told me that grindylows like to steal shoes but only the left one. So... bring a spare left shoe or just keep them on, I suppose. I'm rambling

Dear Grace,
Yeah, it is sad that Hogsmeade as a whole is off-limits, but I think that would be a little cliche by now? Everyone and their owls have brought their dates to Puddifoot's! I think that would make me look like I'm not putting much effort into it!
Hm, that would be a nice thought, considering that it is the middle of winter... Then again, what if I screw up with the magic and she gets a frostbite? That would be terrible. I'd never live it down. No, we need something safer. And something that isn't the Room of Requirement because walking past a door three times and muttering some words isn't my kind of romantic effort.
Oh... really? I used to think that Madam Puddifoots is the romantic place on earth. I mean, their little doilies and floral teacups and music is just so... dreamy and to die for. I think any girl would appreciate the atmosphere, but if you don't think so... then I guess not.
Well, you could always rug up nice and warm and bring her a warm, fuzzy blanket to cuddle up beneath stop from getting too cold? But other nice places in Hogwarts could be the Astronomy tower? You can watch the stars up there and maybe even bring your telescope? I mean, if you still have one. If not, I'm happy to lend you mind.
Oh, there's that empty broom closet near the Great Hall? I always hear about people meeting up for dates in there. I always thought it must be rather cramped in there, but people are always in there and so it must be bigger than I pictured. I asked Matheus Delgado if it was bigger than expected once after I saw him coming out of there and he winked at me so maybe it's Hogwarts best kept secret.

Dear Grace,
The target of my affections isn't exactly the Puddifoot's type, I don't think at least. Not that there is anything wrong with being that type! I just don't think she shares our romantic nature. And yet she makes me swoon like a love song...
I dropped Astronomy, BUT that is a great idea! She often has trouble falling asleep so a night trip might be exactly what she needs! I'd be very thankful if you'd lend me yours for a night.
I don't think they meet up in the closet for romantic things. Zoe Valeria, my friend, has told me about this closet and she claims it is a very good spot where to get to know someone...On a much physical level, so to say.
Oh, I didn't mean that there's anything wrong with not liking Madam Puddifoots! I just... I just meant that I think it's romantic. I shouldn't have said all girls. I'm sorry. What do you think that the girl you like would like?
I'll give you my telescope in class tomorrow. Why does she have trouble falling asleep at night? Does she need some lavender? Does she constantly stress about things that may happen like I do
I don't understand On a physical level? What do you mean? There's not much they can do physically in a closet. I mean, I'm sure it's big but it's not big enough to do jumping jacks or play Quidditch or anything. Maybe there's enough room to have an arm wrestle, although that's not particularly romantic for a date, is it?

It's alright, no need to apologize! I think she'd like something a bit more active, like a shopping trip I guess? I've seen her read muggle fashion magazines. Say, do you know anything about wizard fashion? Any books in the library? Magazines?
Thank you so much! Uh, I don't really know. She says she just has too much energy? I could offer the lavender, maybe that would help her. Though if she can't fall asleep, she often ends up coming to me because I'm stuck doing my homework in the common room until midnight. Last week she tucked me in and we cuddled!
My mum thinks I dress like my Granny Augusta sometimes. I don't think I really know too much about fashion, but there's a stack of fashion magazines right near the Ancient Runes section? I don't know how old they are though. Sometimes in Witch Weekly they have bits and pieces about fashion but they're always really... expensive.
Weren't you afraid that Professor O'Connor would catch the two of you cuddling and give you detention or something? My dad says that you can get detention if you're being too 'friendly' with the opposite sex. But then again, maybe because you're a prefect that doesn't matter so much. Was she good at cuddling though?
You... you can't just write that word in a letter, Rodrik. What is the Ministry Liaison read the letter and we got in trouble? Besides, I don't think they'd do that there anyway. That's wild. What if someone caught them? What if they got poked in the eye by a rogue broom?

Near Ancient Runes? How did I never see them? Well- I didn't really have a reason to look, I guess. Thanks for the tip, I'll have a peek tomorrow. I'll have to abstain from buying anything though, need those sickles for other things.
I don't think professor O'Connor really cares about these kinds of things. I was sleeping like log anyways, we weren't doing anything. But she's a wonderful cuddler. She has this soft and fuzzy bathrobe, and her hair smells like coconuts and- Yeah. It's good.
We won't get in trouble. The officer has been to Hogwarts herself, this is nothing she doesn't know about! And if you don't believe me, I can ask Zoe to tell you. Be warned, she won't hold away any details. I've lost count of how many girls she's dragged into that closet.
Wait, she was wearing... was she wearing clothes underneath but it's midnight. Surely she'd be wearing warm flannel pyjamas, not just a bathrobe, right? Otherwise it would just be indecent too chilly at that time of night.
I don't need Zoe to tell me, that's okay. I think I can live without really knowing the details. I mean, besides, I... I don't think that sort of stuff should be told to me anyway. It's private. Like... private private. Wait, girls? That'sbutsometimes I think I like Have you ever taken any girls... wait, I don't want to know. Forget that I said that.
