With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Colwynn smokes cigarettes, despite knowing full well how bad they are for you.
Colwynn generally doesn't sleep well. She's been known to be up all night and runs mostly on caffeine and will power
She's a bit of a slob. All her things are usually in disarray, but it's organized disarray.
Colwynn's a bit of an overachiever. She's always gotten the best grades and she's been competitive about just about anything since she was a kid, but not to the point that she can't see when she's beat.
Likes: music, playing the guitar, writing stories and songs, poetry, books, old movies, cats, history, traveling
Dislikes:bigots, idiots, dubstep, being ordered around, not being able to rip into people who deserve it. people assuming she's stupid because she's an American, cabin fever
Boggart: Someone she respects, most likely her father, telling her that she's a failure and won't ever succeed at anything. She's afraid of failure.
Negative Traits: introverted, awkward,and she doesn't manage her anger well.
Quirks and Habits:
Veronica always has a pen or a pencil. In fact, she always has several. Her school bag has at least two dozen pens in it, if not more
Veronica love hugs and cuddles...probably because she didn't really get them much as a kid from her mom.
most people assume that Veronica just...doesn't get angry. That's not true. Her temper is like a pressure cooker and it'll just keep taking on steam until she eventually explodes. if you see her explode, or about to explode, do not engage.
Veronica is the nicest person ever...until she's not. If you mess with someone she cares about she will make you regret it. Sometimes her revenge is sudden and hard, but other times it's patient.

Boggart: Father Noble, the priest who abused her when she was in the Catholic church's care because her mother thought she was possessed by a demon
Mirror of Erised: Herself, traveling around the world
They're both beaters, she'll be a bit harsh on Colwynn because she wants to be a pro in this but it's all tough love for the spirit of winning! Outside of quidditch she is very laid back and up for anything fun.
@finn and @freya,
he doesn't judge werewolves but he would be nice to her and help her if she needs any. He won't sleep with her though because it's really not in him to do that.
though they were roommates before she would probably ignore her existence. Scarlett is not that much of a caring person but if they see each other she'd maybe say hi but I don't think she'd be her friend.
@evangeline and @freya,
She'd offer her a drink and have a good time but it won't get beyond partying though!
@chelsea and @freya,
These could maybe have been friendlies in school and Chels wouldn't mind helping her out if she needs anything. She is mostly a bookworm and would share the love for history with her! So if Freya needs a friend she has one in Chels!
I've offered you a couple characters off-handedly on Discord, but let me give you some ideas now!
LYUBOV KAREVA and COLWYNN VALE : I have two sisters who are half-veela, Nadezhda and Lyubov Kareva. Lyuba is a 5th year like Colwynn, so she'd definitely notice a new student in her class! Usually, she's a total sweetheart, but I don't think they would get along very well. Lyuba is definitely an extrovert, and she is very insecure about her shortcomings in class, so I think she might feel intimidated by Colwynn and dislike her for that. Lyuba is friends with Aggy, so the three of them together might get awkward?
NADEZHDA KAREVA and @freya : The other Kareva sister! As I mentioned earlier, were roommates until just recently! Nadya and Scarlett are very good friends, but I don't think Nadya would dislike Freya, and she'd be quite worried about her suddenly dropping out when she had so much going for her. Would you be cool with Nadya writing to her to find out what's up? She's a big werewolf supporter, as she thinks beings > humans.
EMIL ZALEWSKI and @freya : Emil is currently Head Boy and was in her year until just last month too! He's a big history nerd himself, so they could have been friends. I think he also might be very worried about her disappearance.
SAMANTHA BANKS and MARSHALL TOFT : I think I mentioned this briefly as well--Samantha is the leader of one of the werewolf packs onsite, the Cotswolds. She'd likely be intrigued at the appearance of another werewolf who actually owns property and isn't in hiding from the Ministry as she is. I'd love for her to try to recruit him, although they may butt heads over some things. She'd really be wary of him at first; they'd have to build a lot of trust.
Edit because I thought of another:
MIA-ROSE LINWOOD and COLWYNN VALE: Mia-Rose is my other 5th year, and she is fiercely ambitious and competitive, but also a nature-loving loner. I definitely think she could view Colwynn as a new rival, but perhaps if they had an occasion to get to know each other, they might become friends after all. (How does Colwynn feel about venturing into the Forbidden Forest?)
Those all sound good to me. Do you wanna start with Colwynn and Mavican?
I also think Finn and Freya could be a fun mix. She low-key has a drinking problem and where he's a bartender it would give them an in. I don't think she'd want him to know she's an escort if he's a bartender she knows. That's kind of something she doesn't exactly announce to everyone.
I tried to start a starter for Freya and Nadezhda, but it kind of...disappeared. I can start another starter for them when I get a chance tonight. I do like the idea of Marshall at least having a chat with Samantha. He and Freya, I feel, need most plots right now. It could be fun to throw Emil and Freya together too. I'd like to get Freya really vulnerable with someone she used to know.
Awesome! If you want to start Freya and Nadya go ahead--you can have it be letters to each other or have them run into each other in London over the break, if Freya's around there. I can also start it for you if you'd prefer.
I definitely want to do something between Sam and Marshall, I've just gotta think of the best way to do it, because Sam doesn't reveal her werewolf status to anyone until they've already joined or allied with the pack. So she usually doesn't visit anyone in person to recruit them, and sends someone else to meet with them. But I think it would be cool to have her go visit the ranch because she loves animals (she has several spoiled dogs). Maybe she visits without mentioning the pack at all just to get a feel for his personality so that she knows if she wants to recruit him or not?
I'll start something for Freya and Nadya and you can start for Sam and Marshall. I'm pretty laid back so however you want to start it out, I'm cool with it.
I feel like these two could quickly and easily become friends. Leander is always wiling to give a hand, plus they're in the same house and year so they'll have plenty of time to interact with each other. I could see them becoming fairly close if she opened up enough to allow it. He would press friendship in a way giving her the opportunity to be friends, but not so much as to scare her off or force, if that makes sense.
I have, after a million years, updated my plotter with plots open for VERONICA JONES , LEIF GUSTAVSON , and AARON VALE . Plots are open for everyone, of course, but they have new profile things
