With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Darcy had thought the Christmas break would be enough to recover from the Winter Ball incident, like somehow just being away from school would be enough to wipe the slate clean but as soon as she had seen the castle in view again, anxiety had bubbled up in her stomach. It made sense, it had been a tragic incident. So many people, many of them her own friends, had gotten seriously injured! Of course she was going to feel anxious about coming back to school - it was meant to be a safe haven and a group of people had caused mayhem and pain. She found the best way to deal with this newfound school anxiety was to keep herself busy and distracted. The healthiest of solutions? Hell no, but at least it was effective.
Quidditch was her best distraction and with the amount of practice she had been getting in then Hufflepuff were just going to fly through their next game, pun intended. She was on the pitch now, her new kitten Stitch following behind as she strolled to a bench to put her belongings down. Now he had been enjoying his time at Hogwarts - he loved exploring the corridors, meeting all the new people and he often appeared in class to take a nap on her desk.
“You stay here, okay?” Stripping her hoodie off and replacing it with her practice robes, Darcy scrunched it up to make a bit of a bed for Stitch to curl up in. Instead of curling up to sleep as expected though, he sat proudly on the hoodie and watched her. She could almost hear his thought of ‘well go then, go do!’
“Alright, god you’re bossy…” She laughed as she scratched him between the ears. She headed towards the storage unit to find herself a good broom as she braided her candy floss pink hair so it was out of the way.

Jonah had no idea how he would survive the rest of the school year, and the women that were slowly killing his will to live. The male had to deal with some things as a prefect before he were to head out to the Quidditch pitch for some practice rounds. They were going to be playing Ravenclaw in a few weeks, and he was looking forward to battling his sister on the field. It was the only time the siblings would be enemies, sending each other glares and insults to try to knock the other off their game. It had happened over the years they both played against each other, and the thought about playing against his sister scared him. The girl was good, even played the game against the Gryffindor team with an injury and still won.
When Jonah had walked onto the pitch, he can hear some voice nearby and had spotted one of his teammates in the stands - talking to herself? The male thought it was weird to think Darcy would be talking to herself, but then again, she was a weirdo to him and he adored her in a way. They were on the same team, same year. They weren’t entirely best friends but he would do whatever to keep her safe because that’s in his blood.
The male had followed her toward the storage unit to get a broom for himself, and he smiled when he appeared behind her. ”You talking to yourself now, Ross?” he had asked as he reached for one of the brooms. He would have brought his, but he didn’t feel like heading back up to the dorms to grab it.
